  1. It only account for the 0 splats. Ex. If 2 people hit too many 0s on each other, you can jump in and attack either one. It does not account for splashes from wind bolts.
  2. I only see D bows and Claws crashing in price in the long term. Every other item has uses in GWD/Minigames/Corp beast/Slayer and other stuffs.
  3. Pumpkin Event - First of the discontinued items Bunny Ears event -First of the non tradable discontinued Infinite stock - Price ceiling on many items including runes/arrows RS2 Weapon Speed - R2h to Rune Skim being weapons of choice, with the most important thing in a weapon changed from max hit to speed. RS2 Combat Triangle - No introduction needed
  4. You are precisely right. Inflation will cause barter trading (Trading 1 commodity for another without the use of an intermediary AKA money). However, barter trading is not necessarily good. Both of the traders must WANT the other person's item before making the trade. The discontinued and 3A market is full of barter trades. It is extremely inconvenient as the seller of a partyhat will want say editables. While you know your cash pile can easily pay for the phat (Say 140m for a Purple), the seller of a phat will not trade to you due to the fact that you do not have the item he wants (say easter + disk + cash).
  5. MA removes some junk, but a very little fraction. The way the minigame is now will not attract nearly enough players to remove enough junk.
  6. Pvp I use tuna taters, sharks, and sara brews. Slayer I use Enchanted Excal, Cake, Bunyip, Guthans GWD is guthans, Bunyip, and Healing titans. Also I have a constant supply of around 100 monks in bank for emergency situations.
  7. Runescape used to be worth the money, but with the quality of service and updates this year, they should be paying YOU just to stick around while they destroy this game. The real sad thing is that I agree with you. The real sadDER thing is that I agree with you too. The depressing thing is that I also agree. ^I see some sort of pattern here >.> The funniest thing to me is that they delayed the release of MA from January all the way to June to make sure that there are no bugs. Then it turn out that they get a bug that could instantly delete someone's bank in a second.
  8. The radical HAMs are gone. The main HAM group is still here.
  9. Negative inflation or the increase in the value of money has never happened in RS. You only had the gradual decrease of value in certain items. This depreciation in value only affects a small part of the economy. Inflation itself is not a bad thing either, but with the cash flow that RS is currently receiving will cause inflation to spiral out of control. The market will become way too unpredictable causing it to freeze due to the fact that noone knows if an item will rapidly rise and crash. It is why in real life there are laws and regulations. Another problem with this rapid cash inflow is the trend that raw materials will no longer be worth obtaining. At an average of 1m/hr that people make with pvp, woodcutters will need to charge 4k/yew log and 8k/mage log in order to keep up with the cash inflow. Skills such as mining, woodcut, fishing, hunting, and runecrafting will all become dead skills. Trade would become frozen due to the fact that noone would want to hold onto a currency as unstable as the gp.
  10. yea hes been looking at the runecrafting tower for a year or so now, its kinda annoying how some things move so slow. More like 2 yrs+ He's been looking at the wizard tower for well over 4 years now. Maybe over 5 years.
  11. PVP never made money for everyone in the old days, only the best of the best gained the most money. The system that wioneo has proposed is the same system I have been pushing for. If anything, it will make it more like the pking in old days. It will force pkers to once again start picking out targets carefully instead of attacking every single person they see.
  12. We are talking to an idiot that made a video on youtube saying he found "Dragon Dragons"/Red Dragons in brimhaven under the ge.... This person is obviously just seeking attention...
  13. Okay so here is the scenario of your world in which yews has increased. Yew Log is now 1k, Nature rune, luckily limited by shops, tops at around 350 gp, Flax rises to around 250gp each. The cost to fletch a Yew long now is 1.25k, alching is 1.6k. Alched result = 768 gp. In this world, will you train mage with alching? The demand from mage trainer is now gone. With the alchers gone, fletchers will not be able to sell bows or fletch without suffering from a massive loss. Fletching is now a dead skill. With fletching gone, woodcutters and flax pickers loses the motive to gather material. Wc, Fletch, and mage are now dead skills. Nature runes will lose market after noone bothering to buy. Runecrafting is now a dead skill as well. P ess collectors will have no one to sell to. Does this game still sound fun to play? You're forgetting the factor of supply, however. If yew logs become so profitable to cut and sell, more people will start harvesting them. Eventually, too many will be producing for the price of the log to stay the same, so it'll start steadily decreasing. Thus, the balance will be preserved. The thing is, yew log will not make the 1m/hr that pvp garrentees until its price is even alot higher than 1k. When yew logs was around 300gp each. The gp/hr yeild was 72k/hr (Going by Troaccid's woodcutting guide, yew section's yeild at 99 wc of 240log/hr). that means, for yew log to yeild the bare minimum of 1m/hr, it will have to rise to 4166gp each. Does that fit my scenario yet? PS - Thanks to Troaacid's guide on AOW, I calced that for Mage logs to make 1m/hr, it has to be 8333gp each.
  14. I like it. Very good suggestion. However I have a questions. Player 4's 4m loot value came from killing someone who lost 4m but did not immediately received? Also, it should have some kind of anti rwt detection system where it will realize if someone killed the same person too many times.

  16. The dialouge box pixels does not match. The last 2 dialouge box can be seen with the erasing marks ontop and below the text.
  17. Wouldn't it be better if you just use slayer point to skip though? That might be even more efficient. Also congrats on 500, my friend just hit 496 with Abby Demons. He's also aiming at 500 =)
  18. Slayer tasks, you love them you hate them. You wish for that Abby Demon and dread the day you get Skeletal Wyverns. It's not exactly easy for someone to go from 1-99 slayer without canceling at least one task at somepoint in time. Since the introduction of Smoking Kills however, people are now able to track how many tasks they accomplish with out using the Burthrope reset. My question to you is this. How many Slayer tasks have you accomplished in a row? Please be truthful about your personal achievements as this is not a competition, but a way for fellow slayers to aid each other and see where exactly we are compared to our fellow slayers. My number at the moment is 118. I am 84 slayer. (One level to go!!!)
  19. Well at least we all know that they will fix the PvP trick on monday. Assuming they find a good way to fix it. If they do manage to finally get it right after only god knows how long now. We can finally see how much damage this fiasco's actually did to the GE.
  20. Just from my own experience, Graahks bought me around 4k-4.5k nats/hr. GOP Tabs is 6-7k nats/hr (not including the 1 hr minimum to get enough tabs). Abyss bough me around 3-3.5k/hr. Fairy Ring was about same as Abyss although the highest I've gone was 3.2k/hr. Divide the numbers by 2 and that's how much ess I've used to craft. If someone has the numbers from gen shop we can compare the methods.
  21. [hide=Go Stormrage!] People seem to miss the point I tried to make earlier... Ofcourse you can be very mathmatical and have figured out that, before the PVP rewards update, GWD was the best money-maker out there... Trouble with it was, that since it is both drop-rate and team-mate dependant, you we're not 100% sure about the amount of cash you would get per hour... Fishing Lobsters and cooking them (especially above certain levels) is at the other end of the spectrum; very reliable source of money considering you can fish them at a steady pace, cook them pretty much without burning, and they sell pretty well too... Problem with this is that it was not much money... So at one end you have un-reliable but huge amounts of cash, and at the other you have steady reliable but small amounts of cash... The 26k (or 76k) trick is not in this spectrum... IF I had to compare it to certain other known methods of money making, I would compare it to slaying Hellhounds, but with a 1/10 droprate of a LVL 3 clue scroll... It is BECAUSE of this unbalance that in my previous examples, players from each section of the economy are abandoning their old methods and start "making money from nothing" (I will explain later why this is bad)... This unbalance is like the scale not only tipping over, but one side already hitting the floor... And we have no idea how heavy the weight on it is yet, untill we start counterbalancing it... Now, Why this is bad and untrue for several reasons... 1st, your method of calculating 1.6m alchage in 3 hours; 1k Magic Longbows alch for 1.5m... If you an cut 1k Magic Logs, pick 1k Flax, string it into Bowstrings, and fletch it all together to make 1k Magic Longbows, mine or GOP 1k Pure Essence and craft it into Nature Runes AND alch it all in under 3 hours, I would be extremely impressed... If you do this, then yes, you have created 1.6m out of nothing in 3 hours... If however (as I suspect you do) you decide to buy the Magic Longbow (u), Nature Runes and Strings, and then alch it, you have not created 1.6m from scratch... About 1.4m has then dissapeared to the people who actually did the work... So congratulations, you got 1.6m, but it cost you 1.4m, meaning you made 200k cash out of thin air, the rest already existed in value as those raw materials... Now - PLEASE STOP ACTING LIKE YOU DONT UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERRENCE - (yes you, n64jive) 2nd; why is there a difference between creating a pile of cash from thin air, or creating items from thin air which you then sell for the same amount of cash? For you there is not, but for the economy as a whole there is... I guess the logic of my earlier example is lost on you (as I suspected)... I painted a picture of how people more and more would switch from their original jobs to doing the 26k trick... The reason this is bad is that supply stops... People still wish to play the game, so to use your examples of green dragons; to level prayer and crafting, people need Dragon Bones and Green Dhide... They will also resort to tricking because their normal methods of aquiring money for these items seems no longer sustainable, causing further inflation which continues to spiral out of control... I can name some real life examples of why it is bad for people that when a supply of an item stops while people still have plenty of money to actually pay for it... Any food or medicine scarcity comes to mind... Even if people have the money to buy food or medicine, but there simply is not any supply left, bad things WILL happen... They are not directly able to be translated to RuneScape mechanics but what it comes down to is this simple fact; Inflation spiraling out of control due to there being too much money and not enough supply is not somethign that seeks its own equilibrium... The economy will not correct itself, and as prices ever increase with only 1 viable method of making enough cash to keep up, the root of the problem continues to be fueled... Eventually, a handful of people will start to return to skilling when they can get 10k for a Shark, and 2k for a Yew Log, but only a bare minimum of people will do this... Infact, only just enough people will do this to meet the bare minimum demand... What this creates is an ecomomy where rich and poor couldnt be further apart, and considering the situation, making the jump would require a LOT of patience and levelling, unless they too resort to tricking... Unfortunately this means that new players coming to the game see a world where they will never be able to keep up (remember the days when barrows armor seemed unatainable?)... And once again this means even further inflation as less people play the game with more money flowing into it... And eventually even that problem spirals out of control... I'm all for teachign the new people some patience, it makes getting that wanted item all the more of an achievement to them... But of this continues; they either become part of the problem, quit wanting that item, or quit altogether... We all know where the bulk of new people fit in... [/hide] =D> =D> =D> If they don't fix this tricking problem though. I'll laugh when my AGS hits 500m.
  22. HOLY (bleep) at some of your set ups... I just have my laptop on my desk in my dorm. Sometime I take the laptop on my bed when im tired =x
  23. I fail to see how inflation isn't bad when my 1m I earned in one day turns into nothing the next day. Inflation comes in at different rates, the general inflation that RS has been going through for 9 years now is a chronic inflation rate. At the rate it is going now however, we are rapidly going into a hyper inflation. I can also see my own prejudice as I am an avid RCer in RS. While it is true that people who camp for d bones and other commodities do not suffer as much. I will suffer as the infinite rune stock means that the runes I craft will never keep up with the new inflation rate and that RC will soon become a lost skill which makes 0 cash due to the fact that all the other items have inflated to absurd prices.
  24. thats the basics of it, and it yeilds very good drops Very good drop as in drops that averages 1-2m/hr. Faster than 91 rc double nats.
