Hit top 10, dropped to 50ish cause of a glitch, back to rank 24 and now i stopped playing for about 2 days. It has finally lost it's touch. The turn-based system just makes games way too long. Much rather a game of SC or GOP.

BTS February was a bitter sweet moment for me in terms of my love for quests. Bitter: No 150. Sweet: Anticipation of a quest that is like no other (WGS was a bit of a disappointment for me). I personally will look foward to either the next part of WGS as the storyline is amazing (just the boss and the puzzles were too easy to be called GM). A continuation of the Plague City quest plot would also be amazing. Lathas attacking both Asgania and Misthlain at once? Would be a very interesting idea. (Perhaps this is also when mobilizing army comes into play? Mobilize an army against Lucien or Lathas?)
  3. I lol'd at Gert dieing xD That was a funny screenie. Seen Lilyuffie alot at w60 GOP. Never took a screenie or talked to her though. Kingduffy when I was training for 99 fletch at edge bank along with Casserole. I should really start taking screenies. The Larryr post was really touching. Amazing someone can amass that much rc xp =/. I'm working on that as my long term goal this year actually. btw, the first page posts makes me miss rsc soooooo badly =(
  4. The article on taking care of your pet rock has convinced me that I should release my Guthix raptor and raise a rock instead. Also, the article on the gods is a little short >.> I expected much more when I read the title, still it was a nice read. Hurray for Tip it Times =]
  5. I really am tired of arguing on this topic. To all the people that complain about junk trade, google the following: -The invisible hand -Microeconomics -Theory of Supply and Demand -Price controlled economies I believe after a bit of reading in those topics, you will have a better understanding of the GE and its economy.
  6. The first part is true, the second part is not. Ideally, Jagex shouldn't need to pay attention to the market, it is not their job to push around the prices how they wants. They need to set up a program which tracks the street prices more accurately and faster, the current one is not good enough. As long as the two are within the GE % limit, it will be fine. The part that Jagex provide in this RS economy is that they play the role of the government. In that role, they create taxes (N/A to RS) and Price Controls (Grand Exchange/Trade Limit). Don't get me wrong, the GE made my life a lot easier, I'm sure people will all agree to that. However, for the special items such as rares/discontinued/3rd age, the price control has to be either extremely well monitored, or not controlled at all. In real life, price controls are used for political advantage (rent control). In RS, price control is used to prevent RWT. Theses price controls all will cause excess demand/supply causing erratic price changes and a second form of market being formed (black market, junk trade, bribe, etc etc). With a Price ceiling predicted at the right place, Jagex will require a hiring of a brand new department to not only conduct surveys to predict a supply and demand curve, but also predicting where the price will land. It just comes down to if Jagex wants to spend the money and keep the RS market up or just leave it as it is and hope for time to erase their mistakes. That's what the GE system was designed to do. Jagex didn't anticipate players refusing to use it and stalling out prices. Jagex did their job by installing a system that would work if it were used. The have no responsibility to hold our hands because we don't use the system they gave us to keep prices where they should be. We were supposed to do it ourselves, just like we always have.(just by different systems) The problem with the GE is that it turned RS from a free trade economy into an Oligopoly. If say Jagex decide one day to decrease an item such as the ags to a price of 100k, you would not sell it on the GE, you would try get the junk to sell it or hold it because it will no longer be worth it to sell. That is what has happend to items such as 3rd age that has huge demand yet a lower price than what people are willing to sell them at.
  7. Lumbridge, I'm just too used to it by now. Spawned in Fally once and I just didn't even know what to do.

  9. Nice idea, but it will never happen. As long as the GE's faulty prices remains, junk trade will stay. The only way for Jagex to fix this is to pay A LOT more attention to the market and actually update prices accordingly.
  10. Revs eats 15 times max against 1 player. Also switching prayers on them is stupid. It isn't predictable. My rev hunting set is usually d hide and range or melee depending on my mood, and just either protect melee or protect range. They aren't that hard at all, I use like 5 monks max on a knight and maybe 10 on dragons.
  11. Wow... talk about bringing back memories. I actually joined rs as a Wizard (Big Gandalf fan at the time =D, still am technically just not as obsessed as when I was younger) I am surprised to see no tank mages in the screenies as I used to be one. BTW, out of curiosity, who did the RSC bank screeny belong to and when was it taken? 86m back in RSC makes me feel like a realllly big noob now lol =(
  12. Nice read. More reason for me to tell my WoW friends to cry in their corner >=D. Also to your question about Santas. The news of Santa suit came 6 month before the Christmas event. When that happend, people already know that Santas are going to be a widely merched item. However, the people that want Santas for the suit has already obtained one (6 month is more than enough time to get it) Therefore, Santa would reach it's peak about 2-3 weeks before Christmas. After that, it will fluctuate between that price until Christmas event arrives, which was about a week before Christmas. The first day, people would not realize what happend. So Santa merchants will attempt to sell at ridiculus price. However, by this time, there is not enough demand for Santas because everyone that could afford and want one already has it. This means you have a TON of merchants with about 20-100 Santas on them and nothing to do. If you were in that situation, you will want to get rid of them. So my first reaction is to sell on ge at mid which floods the ge and gets rid of even MORE demand. Then its time to sell min, now the demand on ge is completely gone and I still have more Santas. Finally, junk trade comes in where Santa price continue to plummet, by this time, ge database will show a decline and forum will have people selling for junk. All the other Santa merchants now panic, and you get your giant price crash.
  13. Badabababa, I'm LOVIN it!. Props to Jagex, first update of the year and it's this good.
  14. 99rc, 99 mage, 90+ all melee, 80+ all skills, 2100+ total lvls.
  15. You deserve a medal of some kind xD. What's even funnier is that I got a ham sandwich that I'm eating at the moment.
  16. They covered it slightly, but honestly, besides the GS, the SS, Zilyana, and the little bits of hint from Legacy of the Seergaze quest series, there is really no info on the Icyene. It might be that the Dragonkin will eventually lead to Castle Draakan and a little bit more hint is released. *fingers crossed*
  17. It is highly suspected and suggested. Also I'm pretty sure this idea has been bought to light in another thread. Look for the topic on Dragonkins. They made a suggestion that Vampyres = corrupted Icyene. Personally I would like to see a quest to further explore the Icyene. If they can make a weapon as potent as the GS, wonder what other magical things they got stashed up somewhere.
  18. Doubtful, one of RS's biggest success is that it is a browser game based on a java engine. That allows alot of people to afford to play it. Going to the Xbox or PS3 would mean it would require people to buy a $200-600 gaming system, a $60 game, and a whole new set of complicated controls. Many people will not be able to afford that and will stay with the browser based version.
  19. Very nice, finally someone making a list of all the skills including the opportunity cost. The only flaw now would be between afk skills and non afk skills (afk skills has lower opportunity cost, but differs for each person). If only we can factor that in the list would be impeccable imo.
  20. Does tormented demons count as boss? Technically I think it shouldn't. But yeah, skele wyverns are a pain to kill
  21. I'm pretty sure its just animation lag, happens in many different games.
  22. I wonder if that'll get me unmuted =o. Seriously, how do I get muted for asking a freind in RS to buy me one of those target RS cards as a joke >.< (or maybe he could actually buy 1 and save me a month in membership fees. Ahh I love being cheap.)
  23. If you were quitting and such, or to quote a fellow tipiter, "for teh lulz" :twss: For every cracker cracked in RS, I feel a little deader inside =( *thinks for a second* or you can crack it with me and hope i get the phat! =D
  24. The Sara page 3 I got from burning vyrewatches like 2 month ago disagrees. (free 1m =D)
  25. You see mean ancienters, I see free runes to pick pocket. =D
