Most are inactive now due to the GE. I remb back in the days when I worked for a WC company. That was fun. Edit: wow I didn't know they still had a use like that. I guess I know where I'll go to for bought out items now.

In the weeks leading up to EXP weekend, 1 gp bought less of everything. That is inflation. There's a well known equation that deals with inflation, M*V = P*Q I.E. the money supply multiplied with the velocity of money is equal to the average price level times the number of transactions. Leading up to EXP weekend, the money supply *really didn't change*, but the velocity of money did. The price level on everything increased, and the number of transactions *slightly increased*. When the price level on everything increases, that's inflation. 1 small problem to that argument. In the EXP weekend, the prices of all high level items fell. Check prices on Godsword/GWD/Barrows

These ideas are actually really well thought out. The PvP tombstone idea is actually amazingly good seeing as it would promote people from start using higher valued items again (Old PvP feel) as well as incorporate a money sink into PvP which generates GP. The GE tax should have been there from the start as many people have said. If you want the convenience of using the GE you should pay a little extra to ease the inflation. A normal tax rate of 1-2% is pretty much enough to help inflation out by a lot. In general I love these ideas.

Pump crashed or Onyx rose? I sold a pump for disk and 3 onyx a few days ago. If 5 Onyx = 1 pump then I'm in luck :)

Yes. I believe divine is over 1b street, or I thought it was. Onyx is what, 50m street? Divine is between 2.5-3.5 Pumps last I checked. 10 Onyx is a pump. So yeah, you're still a bit off.

Yes, once after I returned to RS after 4 years... after that I have not yet seen a quest where I could not complete on the date of release :/

Yeah, I heard this theory from a w2 camping friend of mine. She told me that Phats updates after 2 are sold on ge while regular items updates after 100 are sold. That would explain why Divine updates like once a year while Phats updates once a week. P.S. Just to clarify - It means that at the regular time period of GE updates, it checks how many of those items are sold to decide if it should update or not. Kind of like an If then statement (not sure if I got that right, only took C# for 1 semester back in high school)

Again, it is comments like this that makes me think you've played very little real CW. One of the best scorers in Castle Wars is not even closed to a maxxed player called Drr Blake (Formerly Snake Pit6). His setup for scoring is black dragonhide, jesters boots, fury, master wand, and zamorak book. I have def'd against him on occasions and trust me, you do not want to let him get loose a bit. In private 5 v 5 Castle war games, the setup is often 2 mages with 3 scorers. The mages is considered the most important part in those teams due to the fact that they are the main freezers of flags. Melee is mostly used as a support combat in Castle wars and is one of the part of reason why I like CW. If you try to score in full melee gear, my solution most of the time would be to let you out because I am confident that it would be easy to kill you before you have gotten anywhere at all. A scorer in full Dhide would be way more dangerous in my mind compared to someone in a divine and full bandos using chaotic rapier/longsword. P.S. - If mage was so underpowered in CW, why does all the stackers go on the team with 5-10 mages?

It is manipulators taking advantage of the broken system. If people didn't hoard items, we really wouldn't ever hit many problems. I own a Divine, I do not want to sell it, I use it to monster hunt and make money. Am I a hoarder? Just because the price on the GE is too low to convince any of the Divine owners to even remotely think about seling their shields on the GE does not mean that everyone who has more money than you is out to get you. If you want to blame anyone, blame Jagex for placing such irrational restrictions to trading.

No offense, the first article made me doubt highly about how much you actually play castle wars. Your analysis did not seem to account for anything other than the rewards given by Castle Wars. Was not a very satisfying article for me. Especially the part saying meleers dominate was just silly. Magers and Scorers run Castle wars. Melee pkers play a great role in defending but it is the mages and the scorers who truly runs a game. Meleers can brag about however many kills they recieved throughout a game all they want, but at the end of the day, the 2 reward tickets belong to the actual CW'ers who are scoring and defending the flags To Extreme Manipulation: Bravo. If only you could have added some possible solutions it would have made the article even better. Touched on one of the deadliest form of manipulation in the GE. Was a great read and was extremely thought provoking. I look forward to seeing more articles like this that touches upon the real problems affecting RS at the moment.

This puzzle was way more difficult than Nomad's puzzles. Nomad was a joke. The only thing I don't like about this quest is the fact that they let one of the best puzzles in the game be fitted into such a horrifically managed quest series. Puzzle 10/10 Quest 3/10 (Only because the puzzle was that awesome)

I haven't Dung'd in over a week now. However it was not due to lack of interest, but due to lack of time/wanting to get 99 slayer. The way I see it, Dungeon is a pretty fast skill. If people can hit 20m+ xp in a little over a month, it is not at all a difficult skill. Batch 2 can only make the xp/hr rate faster. In that case, instead of spending my time getting 99/100 Dung depending on my mood, I rather spend the time finishing up some other goals such as getting Slayer up and perhaps getting a few more claws solos at TDs.

Dismiss your familiar. That sometime causes the glitch. P.S. If you have auto retaliate on, even if you can't see the boss but it attacks you, you'll still attack and damage it.

If Compost pot actually become the new currency I wouldn't mind tbh. Vinesweeper might actually get popular again and I can go there to leech point/xp off people :)

Sucks to be you. I took a small break from Slayer and when I came back all 5 of my blocks became empty. That was a pain also. Atm I'm 97 Slayer with 4 blocks >.> plain sad :(

Hardest Quest in the Game: 1. ME2 2, WGS 3. RFD 4. Nomad Requiem 5. Dream Mentor List was in my opinion, I do all my quests freestyle. MM would probably list in the top 10, but not top 5. Considering the general ease of most quests that does not say much.

Are you camping GE? Try get the offer in like within 15 seconds and you'll probably snipe a sigil or a shield. You got to remeber with Ely's drop rate 1 ely each day is even being very generous. 3 friends of mine sniped shields off the GE while 1 of them got a sigil. So you might think about trying going after shields instead of sigil. I've personally been sniping both Ely and Divine for about a month until the dungeon update in which case I started sniping Divine only. Happy to say I finally got one a few days ago when my friend quit and decided to let me have his ;) But yeah, it gets tough sometimes trying to snipe these things. I recommend you try using some of the popular GE bots that tells you when the last GE updates were to get an estimate on what time you should head down to GE and start camping. They're pretty popular in almost all IRC chats. Or you can use the runescript bot on Tip it's front page. The command to find the GE update time is !geupdate. That estimates the time of the last ge update to within a 5 minute time frame I think. If that fails, then one of the dung shields is a pretty good replacement for Ely as well. P.S. One last solution is trying to snipe Phats and using those to trade for a Spirit Shield. A good friend of mine Sniped a White Phat like 2 month ago I think and got a Divine that way. Just need to pay attention to the GE graph and predict when they update since those don't update for days at times. P.P.S. Just realized something, since you're trying to get an Ely instead of Divine. Try sniping Disks or Pumps instead. Those should be pretty easy to snipe and if memory serves me Ely is roughly = Pump + cash.

Elysians is half a pumpkin at the moment. Not that hard to get off GE honestly, 4 of my friends already got themselves one within 1-2 days of trying. Not worth getting imo as 450m can be much better spent on other items/skills or even just used to flip items daily.

31k xp/hr. Sounds about right, seeing as I spend alot of time semi-afk training, boss hunting, minigames etc etc. Usually when I do train something I try to stay as efficient as possible so my xp/hr didnt fall down to like 20k/hr.

#1. No discussion value, seem like flamebait imo #2. Glory = Fury in everything but str and prayer. BCP is used for Str bonus, so Torso = BCP. And Rune Def > DFS.

Honestly my theory why the lower rares are rising now as well is simply because there is so much cash in RS that just the upper rares are no longer enough to allow players to hold their cash, therefore people just sort of bought out lower rares to hold money and by side effect caused a huge price increase there.

Divine's only 2.7-3.2 Pumps? I saw offers to buy for 4 not too long ago. Did I miss something? Are Eggs Purely buy-able GE now? Or did they crash GE-wise also? Never did care for them, they're only high imo because they were a medium of exchange for a highly competition market. Pump might be different though seeing it is the "first" rare.

Sighted Mage Long is overrated, tested it against Broad Bolts on Rune cross, Rune crossbow does way faster dps than the Sighted Mage Long. Not sure about maple though. Cba to go f2p and test it.

I usually click to attack another monster before worrying about the drop from the previous monster. I also look at the coinpile to see the size before I decide if it's worth my time to pick it up.
