  1. That would be hilarious if the introduced the blood altar as part of a quest you need like 60 or 65 farming to start
  2. I'm pretty sure I have, but it doesn't really matter 8-)
  3. al-Kharid 3 iron rocks with dueling rings is probably the fastest.
  4. I've told you several times now, it's 73.5 magic exp for level 6 enchant in the arena. They reduced the exp gained from each spell by 25% in there. Doesn't stop it from being excellent training, tho
  5. Finding buyers for gold bars is very difficult. You should craft them and alch them, you'll lose more money on them, but it's good mage exp.
  6. You probably could, but Kamil could give you some trouble. As long as you make sure to keep your prayer up in every fight, you'll be fine.
  7. Wildy is better exp wise, but the werewolf course is a lot more fun because of the zip line. I found myself able to train there a lot longer without getting bored, so it's helpful to alternate between the two to keep from getting burnt out too quickly on agility training.
  8. There's no reason for anyone to be a jerk, particularly while pking RCers. What I would really like to see is people have some respect, even if they just killed you. But that's a rant about the RS community in general, not just pkers or abyss pkers  Regarding the pouches, I want every abyss RCer that gets killed to have to spend hours getting their pouches back. Not out of sadism or anything like that, but because you have been given a ridiculously easy way to make a ton of money in a relatively short period of time. RC pkers are necessary to keep balance in the game and make sure that runecrafters aren't just given what would practically be a license to print money. Having been killed on the way to the abyss, I know how annoying it is. Having killed others on the way to the abyss, I can tell you, it's not that easy. Smart RCers should be able to get away from any pker. Most can't TB you, so an ectophial or elf crystal is a must. The ones who can will TB you first, giving you enough time to get to into the abyss before being entangled 99% of the time. Some can TB you, but will entangle you first. You'll be gone long before they get a chance to TB you. And hell, if you angle your screen right and can see the TB coming, you can tele before the TB takes effect. The ones who think they're smart trying to ancient you aren't as bright as they think - without TB, they have no way of killing you. IMO, people who die to abyss PKers are either incredibly unlucky, or idiots - and usually the latter. One guy I killed while PKing there got by me twice before I finally got him the third time, and he was wearing full rune at the time and didn't try to tele once even though I couldn't TB him. I mean, give me a break. As soon as you see a spell headed toward you - click! teleport away, and it'll work even if the spell is a TB. So if they annoy you, form a hunting party to kill them all. Give them their just rewards, but complaining about them is lame.
  9. I find this pretty stupid. Just another thread in the long line of people complaining that things should be easier/less annoying for them. Honestly, if abyss PKers didn't exist, the abyss would be completely broken as a way to make money. If you're really that upset about them, why not start an abyss PKer hunters clan? And once every few days world hop at edgeville and slaughter them all? Much more effective and fun than complaining about them here, no?
  10. Nothing, other than completing Priest in Peril to gain access to Mort Myre.
  11. Actually, it's not full exp every time. Exp for all enchantment spells is reduced by 25% in the arena. You get a number of pizazz points equal to the level of enchant spell you are using every 5 orbs you enchant. So, if you use level 4 enchant, every 5th spell you cast gets you 4 pizazz points. You get 1 additional pizazz point for every bonus shape you enchant, so ALWAYS do the bonus shape! As kwimbob pointed out, the dragonstones will each give you 2* the enchant spell you use in pizazz points, so you'll get 8 points for each one using level 4 enchant. I believe, though, that no pizazz points are awarded for depositing orbs in the middle - but you do get a couple random runes for every 20 orbs deposited. Neither enchanting bonus shapes nor depositing orbs gives you bonus mage experience. But you will get plenty of experience otherwise, although below level 5 enchant, the alchemists playground is faster exp.
  12. Because you get some exp from smelting, supeheating in the mines cuts down drastically on mining times, and mith ore is a lot harder to sell than mith bars.
  13. North of the eastern entrance to Yanille, there are 3 iron rocks right near each other. The bank is less than 3 clicks away - although now it might be possible with the bank in Lumbridge castle basement that the mines down there are the closest to a bank. I haven't tried, though, so I'm not sure about that.
  14. I really don't think so. I skill because if I die wearing full rune or black dhides and a glory, I want to be able to spend a few minutes making them to get them back, rather than buying them. For me, and a lot of skillers out there, there is a lot of satisfaction in seeing your rank climb in the high scores, or seeing the message that you can now craft dragonstone amulets, or smith rune scimitars, or craft death runes. That's what it's all about. I mean, if it was all about profit, I would have simply quit skilling once I got 44 runecrafting. Why bother raising my other skills when none of them compare to the money I can make crafting nature runes?
  15. Um, he said mith arrows in his post. You'll come very close to breaking even with them, even buying all the materials - bars, 1k each. Headless arrows, 20ea. Every bar gives you 15 arrows, so each bar costs a total of 1300 for 15 arrows. Sell those 15 arrows for 80 each, and you've made back 1200. If you buy the materials for 15k arrows, you have spent 1.3 million, and will recover 1.2 million of it. 50k smithing exp at an overall cost of 100k is not too bad, and you'll get some excellent fletching exp at the same time. F2Pers are making mith plates and alching. They are losing a lot of money doing this, but your whole post is based on one extremely faulty assumption: No, it isn't, not to a lot of people. F2P smithers have no way of quickly raising smithing levels without spending a ton of cash to do so. I'm assuming your smithing level is fairly low, so I'll let you in on a little secret - it would take several days of doing nothing but smelting steel bars for a level 85 or 90 F2P smither to gain a level. People don't like spending several days smelting steel bars. So instead, they take their hard earned cash and invest it in some fairly quick smithing exp. This is why mith bars are a popular item, for both F2P and P2P players. Not everyone is a slave to the almighty gp.
  16. Very well done guide, a fun alternative for making money to be sure, even at higher levels 8-)
  17. Yeah, I ripped through crafting 2k ess there in a matter of 20 - 30 minutes, just to check it out. Didn't wear anything special, just shouted out "2500 gp!" and got runners lined up to trade with me. I might have been lucky, but there was only one other person there offering cash instead of runes. People greatly prefer getting cash in return instead of runes, so you'll get much quicker exp if you offer money instead of runes. I did also notice people offering only 2k - which was fine with me, just drove more runners my way :)
  18. Yeah, but these will hopefully be a lot more fun and a lot less annoying than things like Leo or the sandwich lady.
  19. That general store is usually deserted, though.
  20. Just buy Irit leaves. Go to world 2 fally, and shout out "buying irits 1.5k each!" and you will get plenty of sellers. Unfortunately, most will only have a few herbs for you, and it takes an hour or 2 to get enough herbs to even level up once. But it's the best way to level, because as rft pointed out, getting seconds is even harder than getting herbs, and you'll have a far easier time getting eye of newt than any other second. Although hopefully you've been stockpiling limps for when you get to 55 - I had over 300 stashed and was very happy as a result. Keep farming while you're buying, the extra free herbs have an excellent effect on your profit margins. Quick way to get eye of newt - carry an air staff, and a bunch of laws and waters. Run to Taverly shop, buy 25, tele back to fally and repeat. You could alternately take some charged glories to Port Sarim and run there from Draynor bank and tele back, but both methods are about the same amount of time. Best way to get vials that is, as far as I know, virtually unknown is to go to the Catherby farming store, buy 27 plant cures, and WALK back to the bank, emptying vials out as you go. Bank, RUN back to the farming store, and repeat. The store replenishes its stock of plant cure very quickly, you can buy probably 400-500 vials this way before the stock level becomes a problem. At which point, just change worlds.
  21. The ones in Edgeville are in the wildy. The Taverly druids are more popular, which is actually a good thing. Most of the people killing druids there will be dropping all of the herbs Guam through Tarromin that they get - meaning you can keep the ones you get from kills plus all of the ones dropped by other players. This is the best way to get low level herbs.
  22. Jagex can't base a decision on gameplay on how a few skill pures might feel as a result. I mean really, if your argument against a combat skill requirement is that it might piss off some people who did a useless thing like level skills up high without getting any combat levels, it's not very convincing.
  23. I think that initially, Jagex didn't intend for it to be used solo, but didn't fix it because if you couldn't solo there it would be empty on every world  Cballs for exp are very bad, they are so slow, but you will make a significant profit. Gold ore with goldsmith gauntlets are the fastest exp, but gold ore can be very costly as the product, gold bars, are worth much less than the ore. My personal favorite as an "in between method" are arrows. Get your fletching up to the point you can make mith arrows, and you can buy all of your arrow shafts and feathers, and your bars, and smith them all and come close to breaking even. Alternately, buy your mith ore and mine your own coal and superheat bars in the mining guild. Arrows aren't as fast exp as gold, but you get fletching exp as well and don't lose much money. And if you use the mine-your-own-coal-and-superheat method, you will make a significant profit and earn exp in 4 skills.
  24. Thieving Fremmeniks to get to level 70 (currently 70), will go back to Ardougne to try paladins before I probably get frustrated at failing so much, and do the knights there instead.
