This is a lie. There is NO such thing as a "gay gene". If you think otherwise, please provide the literature to back it up. Yes, it was rumoured a while ago, but the research was flawed. It might not be a gene but something else? Besides that, think about it: If homosexuals know they are disliked by today's socity, why would they continue to be gay? So its not 'a choice'. Maybe they like being gay? Don't want to change just because other people's opinions? I'd rather like guys then girls... It just feels different, better. Other then a few guilty pleasures (Techno songs lol) a song needs both a good lyrics and a good rhythm for me to like it. Although Nightwish's lyrics are horrible... Meh, one exception lol.

Depends on where you live really... Sonata Arctica is popular in Europe I'm pretty sure... I'm listening to Kingdom for a Heart right now lol. I live in Canada, no one can even pronounce "Arctica". And Dream Theater is widely popular... Symphonic/Power Metal is usually a tight-knit genre and most of them are popular (don't flame if im completely wrong lol, I'm just assuming). These ones I know are popular in other countries but I'll say anyway... Nightwish (I know -.- but they my fave band lol), Within Temptation, Lacuna Coil, HIM, and Epica.
