I don't think we should compile the bios/introductions in the first post. That would come across as a wall of intimidating text, in my opinion :P How about we leave the sticky unlocked and allow all users - both old and new - to create a reply introducing themselves?

Exactly what earthgragonsage said :) I suppose it would just be a revamp/expansion of the Rules. In every forum we have at least one sticky that follows a very similar format; it contains an overview of the purpose and content of the forum, the rules for that specific forum and any other general information. The Falador Tavern one would be like so: It is all very general information - nothing that needs constant updating.

Well everyone works in very different ways so it's hard to give you tips. Personally, I tend to work on one line at a time. Your brain can more easily memorize groups of words than a huge block of text so memorizing one line at a time and slowly combining them will work better than just rereading the whole thing over and over. Other people like to: Put it to a melody, then it will feel more like memorizing a popular song. Memorize while chewing gum... I heard chewing is supposed to help with memorization? :lol: I've had friends who had wonderful luck with connecting whatever they were trying to memorize with something funny/sexual. That never worked with me though. And I'm not even sure if I explained that very well.

Hello you guys :) The admins have talked about all of the ideas presented here and here's what we have to say: Global Announcement: We would be happy to create a global announcement to remind the users of the Falador Tavern's existence and do a little promotion. We'll probably get this up in 1-2 weeks once the sticky (mentioned below) has been completed and maybe once the Crew Application period has ended. Sticky: Definitely something that we'd love to see. I'd be happy to set up a basic structure for you guys and you can fill in the descriptions for each role play. Tavern To Top: Unfortunately this is not something that the Administrative Team will be doing. It is not fair to the other forums suffering activity issues. If we do it for one forum we would feel obligated to accommodate all of the inactive forums and we simply can't keep moving forums around. Furthermore, we feel it will just be an annoyance for our users. PM Tavern Members: Another no here. The Administrative Team will not be PMing Tavern members to remind them to post. Posting is optional. If users are not posting then it is not our job to remind them to do so. Again, we feel this would be an annoyance to the users more than anything. Thread in Varrock Library: We are not going to have an entire thread in the Varrock Library dedicated to the Falador Tavern. However, I have added a note to the Varrock Library Rules stating that role plays should be posted in the Falador Tavern. I know it's not much, but it's the best we can do. If you guys have any other ideas, feel free to share them. :)

I watched The Rescuers Down Under today. I had see it when I was little but I never quite realized how dark it is for a kids movie :| [hide=At the end...]The poacher dangles his prisoner (a 10 (?) year old boy) above some crocodiles and slowly starts lowering him down to feed him to them... :|[/hide]

But also, I don't get what you're saying if it's English (and even in German it makes little sense, so I'll try to interpret that as "What song do you want us to rap, oh creator of worlds?"). I'd prefer the songs "Hit 'Em Up" by Tupac, or "[N-word]s Bleed"/"Juicy" by Biggie Smalls. If you can speak and rap in German, try "Keine Entschuldigung" by Bushido, "Unter der Sonne" by Chakuza, or "Ring Frei" by Chakuza. Sorry - I literally meant "Where is Das?" :P He is quite the rapper :P

Hmm I'll see if/how I can work that in :) Also the background history seems like a war. So you could INSTEAD put in a memory which shows the girl and a dead man. The dead man is her love. If you go for this, it's important to highlight blood spots on the mans face and his lifeless facial expression. The girl in the memory should be crying over the man. This would really look awesome! I wish you good luck <3: EDIT: I made a "sketch" of the memory. Don't laugh 1) I am not used to new Paint on Windows 7 and 2) My art level is still at 1. I think I might try to incorporate your idea into another picture since it's venturing so far from my original plan :) A few weeks ago I had been trying to come up with a "lost love" picture but was unsuccessful. Well my idea for the picture was a "die with pride," "death is only the beginning" kind of thing. Then when I decided to add the space ship in the background I guess it might have turned into a "hah you think you can pwn me, well now my friends will pwn you" kind of thing.

Thanks for the clothing suggestions! :) The lasers are on guns so she's about to get pwned! ...or maybe the ship in the background has big guns and is going to pwn the people who are about to pwn her!

Haha nice one :lol: Not winning is always a disappointment - so I don't blame you! It can certainly be a motivation killer. Anyway I didn't enter anything. I'm not very good with comics. Humour and wit isn't my forté :P I do believe that Jagex posted some of the entries on Facebook. I glanced through them briefly.

Moved to Tech & Computers :) It sounds like your problem may have been solved but I moved it to the correct forum just in case you still have trouble! Help & Advice is great but usually Tech & Computers is better for all questions and problems related to computers and other technical issues :)
