  1. Adorable :D Confession: I always leave lecture half way through.
  2. The Sorcerer's Apprentice - Kind of fun :P
  3. Although it's true that this thread is old and the task has probably since been completed, making comments about how old the thread is doesn't help anyone or contribute to the topic at hand ;)
  4. Runecrafting... I've been working on that 99 for four years :P In that time I've managed to get some of the more expensive 99s but runecrafting still lags behind..
  5. In moderation I have no problem with piercings or tattoos. I personally find that too many looks tacky. I don't judge people because of it though. I have three piercings: two on one ear and one on the other. I got two (one on each ear) done when I was like seven years old. It was mostly my mom's idea. My sister really wanted her ears pierced and I came along with no intention of doing it myself and my mom kind of nudged me along. I got the third piercing when I was in 7th or 8th grade. I don't actually wear earrings all that often though. I do not have any tattoos and doubt I will ever get one.
  6. The video makes video games sound like evil life-ruiners. The fault lies with the player letting video games completely consume their life and there is a huge difference. Video games don't cause people to become overweight or get a divorce. People allow this to happen. Those same people could allow it to happen with ANY activity. They could allow gambling to take over their life, drinking or even just staying home and watching TV. It is not the video games themselves but people who are unable to maintain a healthy balance between The activity and the rest of their lives.

    I couldn't leave them out!!

I have a hard time picking just 3 :P My boyfriend, family, art, literature, my kitty and skittles.
  9. Welcome to the Tip.it Forums! :) We are glad that you chose to join our community! Please feel welcome to introduce yourself to the community here: Introductions & Farewells. Don't hesitate to PM myself or another Tip.it Staff member if you have any questions :)
  10. I saw Fair Game tonight. I didn't like it. The trailer made it out to be a lot more intense than it actually was. I found it boring and too political (and not enough action) for my tastes.
  11. Just removed a ton of spam and flames. Remember that this sticky is NOT the place for off-topic arguments. Pointless/rude comments are absolutely not tolerated. In the future, if any of you see off-topic posts, inflammatory posts or lengthy arguments, please report them. And if anyone finds themselves getting caught up in an off-topic argument or discussion, please stop yourself and continue it via PM. This sticky is for screenshots. Some comments and responses are okay as long as they serve a purpose but if you find an entire discussion or argument branching off, continue it via PM or create a new thread (as long as the argument does not consist of personal attacks, flames or spam).
  12. I did it truthfully and successfully for my boyfriend! :P Giving Peter a list of colours and flavours of skittles doesn't count. :P Oh :( ....Nvm then.
  13. I did it truthfully and successfully for my boyfriend! :P
  14. Sounds pretty sweet to me :P (talking as a girl). It may be cliché but most girls love cliché.
  15. Two nights ago - Treasure Planet Tonight - Salt

But then what use would there be for a forum? ;) I know it would be nice to get the possible extra activity, but it's just not appropriate. It's like having a "Music" or "Video Games" thread in Off-Topic.

Yes, tell us what joint it is. I have been looking for some delicious chicken, ready for pickin'. Sorry it's only on my university's campus :P It's not a joint.
  18. tripsis replied to Skull's topic in Off-Topic
I have discovered the most amazing chicken strips ever. There is a restaurant on campus near my dorm that I had never gone to because they don't have a large menu and most of it is similar to what can be had at the dining hall... But I finally ordered some food 2 nights ago and ZOMG HELLO AMAZING CHICKEN! Want moar.
  19. Can we get back on topic please guys? :) If you want to talk about something else there is The Back Room. Or if it's related to role-playing you can create a new thread.
  20. Thanks wyvren2000 :) Each role play definitely does need to have the rules and game information clearly outlined in its first post.
  21. Already covered in the Forum Rules, constructive flaming is allowed by the forum rules and flaming is not commonly found in a way that contravenes the rules. Meh I included it because it's the most common form of rule-breaking :P It can be removed though. Although no form of flaming is really allowed. Debating ideas is allowed but flaming (which is defined by personal attacks, insults, harassment, etc.) isn't allowed at all.
  22. It's just a reminder, and one that we use in probably every "Rules & Guidelines" sticky in all forums. Sometimes users need to be reminded that there are no exceptions to the rules. Forum Rules & Guidelines Game moderators run, manage, and set the rules for role-plays. Individual rules are set for each role-play. Please abide by these rules. If you disagree with them, consult the game moderator. Flaming is prohibited. All users should be treated with respect. All other Tip.it Forum Rules apply. Popular Role Plays Here are some descriptions of the forum's most popular role-plays that are often played multiple times: Dungeoneering You take on the role as an individual and are plunged into a scenario of the moderator's choosing. Examples include pirates, adventures and spacemen. Hegemony The game usually begins with deciding the setting. Once that is decided, you take control of an empire. Examples of settings include the Napoleonic Period, the Modern/Futuristic Period and the Prehistoric Period. Zombie Survival A simulation in which you are asked what you would do immediately after a zombie takeover of the real world.

Well I think a big reason is that we now have other threads that serve the same purpose that this thread did (i.e. What book are you currently reading?)
  24. It's not necessarily a bad thing if it never gets touched again. And of course any off-topic discussion could be split off. We have introduction stickies in 2 other forums and I think they work quite well :)
