I guess initially it was inspired by Stellar Dawn because I'm not normally into sci-fi. Well I like it but sci-fi usually includes things like ships, machinery, guns, etc. which I am SO not experienced with drawing/designing :oops: But that first Stellar Dawn picture got me kind of into it and I suddenly had an idea that I thought was cool. So I guess it's not really based on Stellar Dawn but kind of inspired by it. Here's what I have so far: Don't mind the.. er.. nakedness.. I haven't decided what she should be wearing yet :XD: (suggestions are welcome)

Making fun of people because of their name (and similar silly reasons) is such a high school and younger thing. As previously stated, when you get to college and later on in life there is far less teasing in general, especially over things like names. In fact, in the almost 1.5 years I've been in college I have not witnessed a single incident of teasing. People grow out of it. I don't know how old you are now but wait and see what life is like in a few years.

I appreciate your thoughts :) Personally, I find it difficult to draw detailed RuneScape fan art without taking a lot of creative liberties. The clothing, monsters, etc. in RuneScape (less so with the recent update, perhaps) are all very simplified and if you draw them exactly as is, I don't find that they look very good in detailed art. The clothing in that particular picture was (loosely) based on some in-game items, but the picture was a request from a friend *points above* so I drew it according to how he imagines his character to look in RuneScape :) He wanted it based on the following outfit but made a few personal modifications and wanted all the colours brown: The blade is Keris: And the medallion on his hat is also based on RuneScape, although perhaps nothing like it exists in-game (idk): Then there's the vyrewatch: Of course a lot of liberties were taken there because look how simplified that is :P Anyway I do see where you're coming from :) It certainly isn't line for line and colour for colour something that you would find in-game.

Also, keep in mind that this changes your display name only (what will appear to other users on the forums and in your profile). Your login name remains the same :)

I can't imagine that it would affect you more than you feeling a disconnection from your family. Also it might make reconnecting with lost friends more difficult, should you ever choose to do that. It is good that you are choosing to wait because it is a pretty big decision and you need a lot of time to think about this. I don't know how old you are but I'm sure there is definitely a chance that you will change your mind later on.

Maybe I will try to get something done for the Christmas gallery, but nothing until then. I'm really busy with school right now so it's hard to find the time! When I do have spare time I usually spend it doing quick, ~5 hour PhotoShop projects (instead of 15 hour!), watching movies or other things :) That Stellar Dawn picture has gotten me pretty addicted to space art!

I think the snow could use a bit more shading. Although I can see a bit of form, it still looks pretty flat to me. Snow can be pretty difficult. I would recommend working in some blueish grey for some shadows.

I miss the days of trick-or-treating! I won't be doing anything this year :( I have a project to work on and a midterm exam on Monday.

Drawing your own desktop is epic fun, isn't it? :D I've done that twice now myself. Two things of note stood out to me: All of the bush strokes on the leaves of the trees go in the same direction. It makes the trees look very unnatural to me. Leaves go in many different directions and that should be reflected in your brushstrokes. Also, using shorter brushstrokes after you've laid down the main colours will help imply individual leaves rather than just one large mass of colour :) And if you want to go the extra step, you could spend a few hours refining the leaves in the closest trees (or at least the very closest one which is on the right). It would be a lot of extra work but would make all the difference, I think. I'm a little unsure about the colour of the sky. It just seems like a weird colour to me - like too much green. It makes me think of smog. Not sure what you're going for though so for all I know that could be spot on. Nice job overall :)

Just because she doesn't want to drop everything for you doesn't mean you're losing her. Why should she give up her interests - her future - for you? I don't know what it is she's doing exactly but I'm sure they're things she enjoys and/or things that will help her get into college, etc.

Yeah... I haven't read all of them for that very reason. I think I read four of them and for 2 or 3 I was just like "okaaaaay this is pointless and nothing is really happening." I got bored of them and never bothered to finish the series.
