  1. How is this relevant to a discussion about gun control? The only connection I can see is that severe injury is possible with any number of implements.

Statistics is virtually never bad; and probably one of the most enlightening courses out there. Enjoy it.
  3. the statistics bear out that no connection exists between violent crime and gun ownership.
  4. Lol. This is too funny. Nice to know it's so easy to get something verified as a legit miracle The catholic church is actually known to be quite careful about attributing miracles only when no practical explanation exists. While real, non-prayer related reasons might exist for the improvement, they usually search quite hard to find them.
  5. What is it with people's rabid distrust of corporations? They are organizations made of regular people and are not out to get you. This. There is no suggestion that the government intends to take away anonymity on the internet; rather simply provide for solid login credentials. This is a very smart idea.
  6. This map goes to demonstrate the persistent, voluntary segregation of our society. In some ways it's truly interesting, but in others it is somewhat sad. Where I live is fairly racially integrated, but the areas immediately surrounding it show marked racial homogeneity.
  7. It depends. Avatar was probably the most famous movie thusfar to be released in 3D, and it certainly benefited from it, but I agree that in many cases it is nothing more then a cheap moneymaking trick.

Even though the essay is already done, for the future you should avoid the passive voice like it's the plague and work on your introductory paragraph - it lacks a clear thesis statement, and without one the essay seems to meander rather then directly addressing whatever the prompt might be.

Im trying to stay lean, not turn into Arnie. high rep, low weight workouts will tone, not bulk up muscles to huge proportions. While what Tim posted is a little low it's not that far off.
  10. Neither were too developed, were they?
  11. The computer would run RS (It's not a terribly demanding game) but not much else.

They'll have to get creative to get them to work. I am curious about this too.

Well considering kingmickez is intending to use the videos/pictures to slander the girl, it may very well be considered libel. The tape is what actually happened. For libel to be libel it must by definition be untrue.

Yeah, pretty much. Here's a court case on something similar. No, the guy didn't go to jail, but he paid $135,000. I'm sure there's a better case out there relating to this issue, but it sums everything up nicely. In any case, just watch out and don't do anything too rash kingmickez. Australia =/= the United States. They have a convoluted definition of privacy there similar to Europe and dissimilar to the United States. Bottom line - so long as it was not a hidden tape (IE she knew it was being taken) he can publish it. The only reason such videos may not be published in the US is if they rise to the level of libel, which does not apply with a sex tape and is anyhow very difficult to prove.

Less then 18 and it's CP and thus illegal. Otherwise, it's legal to post it so long as he took the video. He made it and thus has the right to make it public as he sees fit. Morally however is a whole other ball game.
  16. how long did it take to get it after you applied?
  17. This. The Macbook pro's have had problems with the graphics card BGA's cracking and coming apart under heat, causing strange graphics issues.
  18. Overall it's a good decision. There really isn't much reason for banning homosexuals from the military, so it's better that they be allowed to join.
  19. this. Your speed is quite slow, and the only practical way to increase that speed is to buy a better package from your ISP.
  20. Have you tried any other monitors with that computer? Do they work?
  21. Mark Zuckerberg developed online social networking, while Jullian Assange leaked a number of small scandals before publishing several hundred thousand state department communiques of no value whatsoever. Zuckerberg has been far more influential.
  22. Rest in peace. He was an extraordinarily long serving administrator.
  23. I have a pair of those; they make great headphones while on the road. Although they are not particularly durable (mine fall apart once every eight months, like clockwork) sound quality is decent, and for 100 bucks they cannot be beat. Durability issues are not a problem either, since bose replaces them no questions asked whenever they break and extends their warranty by another year - I am on my fifth set of headphones now.
  24. Depends on the school you go to. Unlike the UK, schools in the US charge tuition rates anywhere from free to ~$60,000 per year, with everything in between. Less expensive large instate public universities run about 6-8000 dollars per year, which is charged to essentially everyone, whereas famous private universities commonly charge $50,000 per year (though they give out massive need-based grants, Harvard distribuited some $300,000,000 in aid to their undergraduate student body of 8000 last year)
  25. Eh, Clinton was a decent president who didn't get bogged down tin needless partisanship. It's good to see he can work well with Obama - keeping someone like that involved is invaluable to American diplomacy.
