  1. Ah, good. Hopefully that respawn time should make Atacama desert (long conquest level) more fun. That level is such a pain when the enemy team have a level 45+ pilot.
  2. Just finished my latest goal of getting a gold star (100 kills) with every weapon [except the M1A1 Thompson, which is glitched]. Apart from that, not having the best of luck with matches right now, as it seems that almost every game I play in ends up being me and a bunch of level 20 people against a full clan whose members are all above level 40. Getting thrashed game after game is so.. so frustrating..
  3. Well, I'm sure that were he to have to go to the bathroom still asleep, the not waking up to do so would create a state of some discomfort, cause awakenedness :P She's saying he would drown in his own urine and vomit. Don't know why the vomit, but he would. First; I don't understand where the vomit came from and second; what possible reason is there for him not being able to wake up? Save for falling into some kind of a coma, your brain will wake you up.. :-? Rachael, stop confusing everyone :P
  4. Ahhh.. I remember the real old days of original Game Boy and SNES game manuals. If my memory serves me correctly, both Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) and Zelda: Link's Awakening (Game Boy) had particularly good, long manuals. Plenty of pictures. :P
  5. The Kit upgrade DLC (Dr Pepper promotion) is due to be released tomorrow for the Xbox360, just three weeks later than originally intended.
  6. Just confirming that patch list is real; the primary source material can be found here. Here's hoping that some of these changes make their way into an Xbox360 patch. I know a couple of my colour blind friends will be extremely happy about that list. :P On another note, after reading through other entries in the Battlefield Blog, I came across this article: Where are my G3 and MK14 Optics? I find myself completely agreeing with DICE's point that giving those guns the 4x scope would result in people sniping with them. I can not, however, understand why they allowed the 4x scope to be used with every other gun outside of the 'all kits' option. While a red dot sight seems fine, letting people put a 4x scope on an SMG/LMG (and in some cases an Assualt rifle) just results in killing people from crazy distances. SMGs are meant for close range, and LMGs surely have too much recoil to ever make such a zoomed sight useful..?
  7. I am really loving Dungeoneering :P Very happy that they made something like this into a skill, as it truly is a joy to play. I organised a quick team of four with some low level'd F2P players and it was so much better than it had any right to be. Had a good laugh trying to figure out puzzles and mowing down the enemies aided by my three team mates giving me every decent piece of equipment that was dropped, which was fine, you know, seeing that I pretty much had to kill everything on my own. Hell, even the level 3 pure that was in my team came in useful as he helped the other three out by running around the level mining and smithing to get us our weapons and armour. Never thought I'd have so much fun with three random low level'd F2p players. Brings a tear to my eye! I can see this skill making people a lot of new friends, and I pity anyone taking this skill so seriously that they'd rather quickly grind through the dungeons on their own instead of finding people to play with.
  8. Minigame or skill? With regard to Dungeoneering being more like a minigame than what we expect from a more traditional skill: Good! If being more like a minigame will mean that Dungeoneering might actually be *shock* enjoyable to train then I can only praise this new choice of direction. Given the choice between traditional skills such as Fishing/Woodcutting/Mining (endlessly extracting raw material from objects), Cooking/Fletching/Smithing/Crafting (using said material in production) and what little I know about training Dungeoneering so far, I would much rather have Dungeoneering, as I'm not the type of person that enjoys repeating the same gathering/producing actions over and over and over again ad nauseum. There are obviously some people that do enjoy repetitive tasks and their concerns over this skill are fairly legitimate, however I still feel that if asked what they find more fun, the majority of players would probably pick boss hunting/minigames over training traditional skills. Take, for example, training Thieving. Personally, I'd much rather train Thieving through minigames such as Pyramid Plunder and the Sorceress's Garden than pickpocket the same NPC ten thousand times. Dungeoneering, to me, is an extension of the ideology that training skills should have enough variety to be at least somewhat fun. Mutiplayer? In an MMORPG?! In terms of this new skill being aimed at team play rather than players that like to play alone: Finally. It may because I come from a background of multiplayer home console games where my favourite type of game is one that can be played with friends (read: Battlefield), but I actually enjoy the thought of gathering up a few mates and taking on a dungeon together. Runescape is, after all, an MMORPG, and so far there have been comparatively few group activities to partake in. My only problem with this multiplayer aspect is that I actually have relatively few friends that actually play Runescape, although I believe this is likely my fault due to the fact that I'm now 21 and it's quite difficult to find any mature players; the kind that aren't spouting out the latest internet memes every other second. So lonely.. My biggest concern, though, is that this skill seems a bit too separate from the main game to actually be called a "skill". If what I'm led to believe is correct, then relatively few of the rewards can be used outside of the dungeons themselves, and the skill itself is practically useless outside of Daemonheim? I am willing to believe that my problem with Dungeoneering's relative isolation compared to other skills is simply due to my lack of experience and understanding in the skill. Don't get me wrong, I'm loving what little time I've spent with the skill so far, it's just that, as Me Hates Libs said; "2) It incorporates every other skill, but is a skill exclusive to itself..." Basically; I love the idea of this skill. It has real potential to be something fun which is a far cry from what we're used to from skills. As Unknwnwrrior says, the skill needs a few tweaks here and there, especially in terms of the way we use it with other skills/outside of Daemonheim. I think I'll err.. stop writing now. I could go on all day about the ideas behind this skill, but I think I'll leave that to another topic, or make one myself if there's enough demand for such a thing.
  9. Dreamtongirl is A MAN? Had my suspicions, I must say. I've gone through the topic and indexed everyone who made it explicitly, unequivocally clear that they want their pictures indexed/deleted. If I accidentally missed you out then please PM me.
  10. Moved to Questionnaires ;)
  11. The scope dose not increase zoom. I think all it does is increase range of the round and decrease bullet drop. Actually, the 12x scope does increase the zoom and, thankfully, different scope have no effect on neither bullet drop nor the capable range of a bullet. I have no idea why anyone would have any trouble noticing the increase in zoom :? There is a cooldown effect when spotting so as to prevent spamming the spot button along a vista and showing the locations of tens of enemies.
  12. Well, judging by the opening text, nothing. "Reuters demanded an investigation into the killings. U.S. military authorities concluded that the actions of the soldiers and pilots involved were in accordance with the law of armed conflict and their Rules of Engagement."
  13. Had my best match ever in terms of kills last night, although I received a shockingly low amount of points. I unwittingly joined a friend's match - Hardcore Rush in the jungles of Valparaíso - and opted to try out the VSS sniper rifle properly for the first time. Fortunately, I found the rifle to be far more accurate than I remember it being in the original Bad Company, meaning that I was consistently getting head shots from a decent distance using the default scope. The extra ammo specialization turned out to be a necessity due to the automatic nature of the gun using up far more ammo than I intended. Long story short, I went 52 - 11 and destroyed 3 M-com stations for a grand total of.... 3800 points! I am actually pleased that you receive so few points for so many kills as it should encourage others to play properly as a team in order to gain the most points.
  14. People start dropping gold dog tags after I believe level 35. I have three golds from the same person
  15. Saw my favourite film of 2009 again last night: Moon. Highly recommended to anyone into classic Sci-Fi films (2001: A Space Odyssey, Twelve Monkeys, Blade Runner etc) that are more about making you think rather than blowing things up. Truly amazing film, especially considering how cheap it was to make. And I completely agree with you Skully regarding Shutter Island. Really does mess with your head, and despite it's B-movie sensibilities I loved it.
  16. I still kinda wish someone took Articuno If you show me a picture, I could always transform ;)
  17. Nope. Even if it did, it'd probably be more trouble than it's worth to gather up 8 people at the same time.
  18. I'm hearing the beat I'm feeling the rhyme Wont be at the wedding, man I ain't got the time
  19. Best way to legitimately get Et Tu Brute (for me anyway) was to try and join a friend playing Squad Deathmatch. Because there's a 4 man limit on each squad, chances are high that if you join you'll be in a different squad to your friend. Then all you need to do is get familiar with your friend's squadmate names, track down that squad and knife your friend. Five times. If you have some real trouble getting it then I'd happily bite the bullet and let you take my precious dogtags. Gamertag is Cursa, but try and get it legitimately first - shouldn't be too hard now.
  20. Just a couple of kills away from getting that Destruction 2.0 achievement. Got about 10 destruction kills just from the new Arica Harbour conquest map
  21. 5 486! Yes! My second favourite number!
  22. Good news everyone! I mean.. good luck everyone! And don't forget to add the post links of where you found each sprite when submitting your final image!
  23. Done, done and done. Kind of surprised to see that is the first picture from you, Insanity, considering how long it feels like I've seen you around Tip.it Maybe I'm thinking of a different Insanity.. or the combination of various people named Insanity throughout these years. Could be that I am simply going, aha, insane. Anyway.. [hide][/hide]
  24. Congratulations! :)
