99 skill partys?
99s are overrated and for me getting 99 magic ranged and hp was a huge anticlimax. Might also be cause no one was online when I got it...

Certain random events at aggressive monsters
I also get a hat and mage ammy in the GE :-) Traded hat later on for mage top (looks cool IMO) some i'm left with mage top and ammy, which I dont use TBH, those randoms... Anyway, I assume you didnt get back there in time either. (that feeling, when you lag out, and you wanna log in asap, and your computer freezes for 2 whole minutes, dont you just hate it!). And of course, no one blesses it either (probably cause it dissapears as soon as you dc). The last 4 times I died, the grave system never helped me lol (bork with fire cape, duo bandos (friend lagged out too), twice at steel drags).

BabyPunchers' Guide to Range-Slaying
Have you even read my reply? Full arma with dfs or even a dragon squareshield is BETTER both in ranged and defence bonus than your suggested tank outfit. Only thing it is slightly worse in, is prayer bonus. (and cost)

Certain random events at aggressive monsters
Wow, that seriously sucks. And I thought I was unlucky when I lagged out twice in a row at steel dragons an died twice (first time 2M lost and 5h of charms, second time 300k lost and 4h of charms) (ofc, somehow, when I lagged they got agressive again, and somehow, the dragon was in melee range when it attacked me, and somehow... Darn murphey)

What if you had more inventory slots?
You don't get it do you. The longer the trip=more chance of drop=lots of drops=less profit=gwd and monster hunting pointless. Plus, everyone who is too damn lazy to make cash will be able to afford everything. Its also possible to get a 99quicker which will blow for the whole RS since everyone will have a 99 in a shorter period of time with 30+ invent spaces than 28spaces. Longer trips = being logged on longer. It doesnt really speed up things. People are already doing 5h + GWD trips. The 30min needed to get kill counts is neglible then.

Bursting rock lobs for 68 summoning
Bursting: 180 mage xp per burst 100 hp xp around 950gp per burst (use waterstaff) 270 crimsons per 1k bursts (9 lobs) You get 150 crimsons an hour 100k mage xp an hour 45k hp xp an hour 570 casts an hour This is from a 10k + burst sample of myself. Numbers are a bit rounded off, I cba to look up the exact ones. Calc it out yourself.
-
Andylax38's 9 Lob Bursting/Barraging Guide
Your crimson numbers / lob are also high. Doing over 15k bursts, my average was like 270 crimsons per 1k bursts. I dunno how big your samples were but it seems a bit strange. I was wearing around 105 mage bonus btw.

Slayer..
He gets it because he can't compare xp rates? Range isn't bad, but it's definetely not good compared to melee at ANY task. RobinHoodie... he closed his guide down. What? I answered to your point. People who train Slayer SHOULD train it efficiently because Slayer is a skill. Slayer is definetely an inefficient way to train combat, but Slayer in itself is a skill. Which is why it makes sense to train efficiently. I get your point, but you're definetely not getting mine. He is saying that IF you want to lvl ranged, why not do it through slayer. You are saying IF you lvl slayer, do it through melee. That's a difference. For me personally, I melee all my tasks, cause I dont wanna loose my slayer helmet bonus. I mean, thats why you train slayer, right? (+ for slayer xp and a variety in your training)

Why has runite ore gone up so much?
That doesn't mean that Rune smithing is profitable again. Still costs an inordinate amount of cash to make the more desirable Rune things (sets, 2hs, scimitars, etc), and you'd be losing money if you bought/smelted from ore. Plus why would you go past 80 if you're training for Stealing Creation? 85 is require for anything Runite... Unless you mean that training to 80 inspired people to go higher or that people are using the hammers... I'd think people to be training towards 99 at the fastest rate possible (using rune bars with SC hammers). Smithing just isn't a profitable skill anymore. But the cheaper xp really makes it a real strong possibility that people are buying rune ore/bars to level faster. If you go to the anvils in varrock about 80% of the people you'll see there are using the clay hammers. No, the best money:experience ratio with Smithing still is Iron. The only difference between using the proto-tools with Rune versus using them with Adamant (which, mind you, is FAR cheaper) is about 25xp more with Rune. Iron beats 'em both though, only 50xp a bar though... With smithing addy bars I'm losing under 2gp / xp

Waterfieds at low levels
I think with your stats 50 crimsons an hour would be possible. Dont hope for too much more. Id suggest to get a bunyip first though.

Major tweaks needed for 2009-list
Oh I agree so much with what's been written here, great topic. Something I would like to add, not really an update though: A tab to open your summoning beasts inventory and that doesnt close when you get attacked. So actually a permanent summoning inventory, just like your own. Have it above or next your real invtory so you can drag items from one to the other. Only problem is finding a space for it without interferring with the rest. Especially with a pack yak it takes a lot of space. It's just that I hate having to use every item manually with my beast if I'am attacked.

You're NOT losing money
You dont care, okay. I dont care either that my fury has fallen in price. That's not the point.

How to Get 99 Strength?
You sir, are a an idiot. And a disgrace to maths. Reread everything that compfreak has written. If you dont undestand it, okay, you are too young, or either too dumb. First option, wait a couple of years, go to school, and who knows... Second option: get out.

Void Range Armor, worth it?
Actually, metal dragons is one of the exceptions where void is worse than armadyl.

Slayer Sucks
Just reread the post and I think it actually isnt that clear... First of all, you make it seem you really loath slayer in itself, which you said afterwards you dont. ("Actually, slayer is one of my favourite skills"). (I'm referring to one of your first paragraphs where you describe your latest tasks). You might also wanna stress more that you are ranting against players who advice others to train slayer for charms and/or xp, not against the skill itself. I dont think it's in there literally, or at least not stressed enough for most of these idiots with their short attention span that browse on these forums.

55-70 Construction with SC Hammer?
I'm sorry, but I somehow got extremely annoyed. Double xp = half the cost. Even a 10 year old can figure that out. Secondly, oak planks are 60 xp each (again, really easy to find out) 2 * 60 = ............... 120. Now the xp for lvl 70: 730k xp for lvl 55: x k You need (730 - x)/120 planks. If you cant figure this out on your own, you should be playing on quick chat worlds, or not at all.

Total levels overrated?
Of course the 2000+ total guy gets more respect. 2000+ total is mostly like 100m total xp, allthough you can get it with only 50m or so. Secondly, 2000 total shows you are good in a lot of skills, not just one. How so? Theres a link to combat in there somewhere 2000 total is far more challenging and low combat than it is at 120 cb. I am sort of mid combat (93) with 1919 total I'm sure I get more respect than a 120 with 2000 total. If i were 120 now I'd have 2100+ total or near there so there is a link to combat in there. Total levels do count though and are not overrated. As for exp you can still have 30mil exp in skills and high total level. I have 22mil cook exp, 26mil wc exp and 31mil thieving exp and I think I have a high total level (for my combat at least). I dont understand what you are trying to say. I think you didnt understand me either. I'm just saying that 2000 total > 30m xp in one skill and 1500 total. That's personal of course. And by "good" in a skill, I mean, exerperienced. You know what it's like to lvl it. You know the tricks to train fast, etc...

You're NOT losing money
No, but I'm not sure how to make this more clear. 1. You spend 40m on a whip. 2. Whips drop to 2m. 3. You sell your whip for 2m, because that's its current monetary value. You have 38m less than before. 4. You repurchase your whip for 2m. You've lost nothing, as you haven't spent any additional money, and you still own your whip. This is assuming you'd sell your whip in the first place, but I can't imagine why anybody would want to. You did loose something. Your whip is worth less. If you would have waited, and bought for 5m in stead of 40m, you'd have 35m more. I know where you are getting to , but you are wrong.

Slayer Sucks
Your calculations make no sense. I understand what you were trying to do sort of, but you did it wrong. You can't work it out with a set gp/h already in mind, more specifically not 850k/h. The average player cannot attain that rate. After reading what I wrote, how can you say it is 40 hours for the charms? You will average 145 per hour. So to get the 11.2k charms will take 76.73 hours. You cannot guess a number and expect it to be taken as fact. It was almost the double the time you guessed of 40 hours. The loss was calculated to be 46.3m on the bursts, and Slayer was originally about 5.8mil ahead, so that is also added on. The calculations I did show the threshold of when it becomes better. 850k/h is possible and fair because you get your rates with maxed (or near maxed) melees I can get my rates with 91 rc. The average player dosent have maxed melees. I could of sworn bursts were at minimum (including other charms) 200 crims/h. Burst maxes at 150 crimsons an hour at 9 lob spot

86 - 96 magic and 86 - 90 crafting with 10 mil?
Wrong, wrong wrong. Go with battlestaves and bolt enchanting. Might alch the b staves too, but its really boring and slow.
