You're NOT losing money
Yeah, but we're not talking about money. A whip is a whip no matter how much you payed in the past. Such an item can not lose usefulness, just monetary value, and when you have no intention of parting with your whip for the decreased monetary value you can not have lost anything. title is "you are not losing MONEY", so we are talking about money. Talking about wether the whip has been useful or not is a very subjective thing. And even though I do agree that the davaluation of the whip is nothing compared to it's usefulness, were not talking about wether it's worth it or not. We are talking about wether you are losing money or not. It's difficult to explain to people as stubborn as you guys, especially if english isnt your native language. I'll just keep it at what someone else has said already: your net worth goes down = you lose money. As long as you keep your whip at all times your not losing money. If you sell it back for a "loss" of 10m you can buy another for 10m cheaper than you did before. Repeating what you have said doesnt help... You ARE losing money. Look up my reply on the first thread with the example I gave. You keep whip: okay, but it's worth less than it was, so you've lost money. Simple as that. And your argument that you can buy it back just as cheaply is just plain rubbish. I'll give an example: I'm merching, and I have bought 50 masterwands for 1.7M each. They crash, cause they are pvp drops now, and they are only worth 1.3M each. I sell them, with a huge loss. Then you come up and you say: "but hey, you can rebuy them just as cheap, so you didnt lose money". I'll kick you in your face. I do have effectively 20M less than before the whole story... (ps: real story).

What's 3rd age worth?
Dont get confused with those prices though. Junk isnt worthless. If 3a even reaches 1/2 to 3/4 of its current street price, itll be a lot.

Hello, my name is Robert. And I own a cannon.
Your lack of willingness to see reason and accept efficient training always surprise me. Even faced with logical situations and arguments, you always find a way to look like a total fool with unsupported arguments, childish opinions and generalisations that are often simply not true or greatly exagerated. Calling a way of training stupid when it is a proven way to train efficiently only makes you look stupid. Amen Ray, just shut up if you dont know anything about it, seriously.

I want to stay alive and I want to get kills
I never pk, and when I try, I dont hold myself to the honor code cause I'm too scared... However, for f2p, I totally agree there is an honour code. It is IMPOSSIBLE to kill someone 1vs1 when they have a full load of food and a teleport. Either they eat and run, or they stay fighting, till they are out of food, then tele out.

Total levels overrated?
Of course the 2000+ total guy gets more respect. 2000+ total is mostly like 100m total xp, allthough you can get it with only 50m or so. Secondly, 2000 total shows you are good in a lot of skills, not just one.

Total levels overrated?
Dont ask me why, but I always like to have the lowest total xp from my total lvl (on highscores). So for me, total xp isnt important at all. It scares me :-)

Newly uncensored word list
What's offensive about "niggle"? (saw it in other thread but it got locked). Is it because it looks like "[racist term]"? (which is IMO not even such a bad word. I mean those gangsta rapper dudes call themselves like that all the time... Like 50 years ago it wasnt even a bad word I think. (at least our "neger" wasnt, now it's got a negative connoation) I'm not a native english speaker though)

You're NOT losing money
If it crashed in a short time, and you didnt use it in the mean time, you should have better sold it. For things you always use and only fall like a few M or less / year, it doesnt apply though. Still your not "losing" anything because you can just buy it again for the lowered price. Compare it to someone who didnt buy the item when it was that high prices. Situation one: you both donth ave the item anymore He: doesnt buy, keeps his ... Mil You: buy. Sell later for less. You got ...-x Mil Situation two: you both have it You: buy for ... gp (long time ago) He: buy for ... - x gp (now). he keeps more money.

Logout Timer Increase 13-Jan-2009
Are you serious? What would you do? Instantly log out when you see the timer? I always play till the last second when I see that timer, unless I'm at GWD or something. I think the point he was making was that it's foolish to see the timer nearly run out, and still have the whip on the floor. That and I doubt you'd stay until the last second at Bandos, it's just not the best idea [which is the essential comparison, using your situation]. I'm 99 % sure that as soon as he saw the whip, he clicked on it. He probably only got one hit in on that demon he was attacking. I mean, dont you also click on the next monster before checking the drop.

Skillcapes
Skill capes are so overrated. Before, everybody trained more or less what he liked. Now it's a rat race to 99. I must adimt even I have fallen for it. However, now when I finally got a few 99s, I know it's all not worth it to race after it. Let it come naturally.

What are your thoughts on grand exchange merchanting?
All right, when I read this yesterday I thought it was time to put some more time in merching again and guess what: Made 5m + so far :-) I'm facing a few problems though: 1) I have too much unused money. The trade limit seems to stop me from using my full investment power. This is also cause I didnt invest in that much items (like 5 of them). 2) Trade limit timer: "Am I offering a bad price, or are those 4 hours still counting" Also, Can you instantly rebuy after selling, or is there also a 4h limit. Lastly, I was wondering wether there are people who have experience with flipping godswords and other high end weapons. Is it possible/profitable, yet safe enough?

Noobs say the funniest things!
"You're lots of fun honeybun" = EPIC  Wait, who's the noob in that conversation? Me = Evil Offence. I would hope that softcore is the noob :? . He was attacking my rock crabs, once I started attacking his rock crabs back the conversation above ensued. He logged out at the end. I was confused cause you said he attacked your rockcrabs and I saw him saying "off noob", and assumed it was you. So I thought, wth, this guy is a noob himself, calling the other one a noob :o

Slayer Sucks
No, I read the entire OP. The 30 pages in between no, I did not read those beyond the first few pages, but thanks for telling me what I have and have not read, since clearly you'd know this better than I #-o First of all, I don't think my character is capable of getting 100k melee XP per hour attacking bloodvelds. Second, that's a bogus argument. It might hold water if you operate under the assumption that melee XP is worth as much to me as ranged XP, but for many, many players, this is not the case. You can't make blanket statements like that with any kind of authority. These things are far too subjective. Also, nowhere in the OP that I read mentions anything about 160k/hour FREE ranged XP. Where are you getting that? If this is true than no, you haven't been updating the OP like you claim. Um, the thread title is "Slayer Sucks." Slayer sucks =/= I hate slayer. It's just a catchy title. Actually, it should be "slayer sucks for combat xp". 160k ranged xp for free: Mix chins and aviansies. (and use your brains on which chin, what prayer, etc) Look at my ranged lvl, then look at my melee lvls. IMO ranged xp < melee xp. Even though, if you are just a casual player who does bit of this bit of that youll probably get more melee xp, if you really go hardcore ranging it's faster.
