  1. a double 50 + with full void RANGED and a god book seems very unlikely. Not saying it's fake, but I'm suspicious...
  2. Wait, you were safespotting those fire giants? I'd just engage them in close combat. You can attack them continuously then. Bring monkfish, and geyser titan, or a bunyip/unicorn. It's quick banking (right next to GE) so Geyser would be best I guess. EDIT: Strange, for me a bunyip was more than sufficient (If I recall it right). However, once I got 80 + summoning I used fighting familiars and some monkfish. (meleeing)
  3. I lost all my respect for you (not that I really knew you, but I've browsed here enough to see that you were a respectable member who makes interesting posts). 100 idiots with 400m +, and most of them have gotten it unfairly? I hope you are being sarcastic... Even I, and I dont consider myself uber rich, have over 400m. I havent gottan a single GWD drop, besides some shards. Imagine if I did GWD regularly too... I'm not gonna try and explain everything, cause Madman has already did that for me. Only thing I might wanna add, is that I kind of agree with third age being hoarded by merchants. Before the GE third age was like 30-50M or so for a set. After the GE, and price controls, merchanters stopped doing partyhats and jumped on third age. HOWEVER, since merchants jumped on it, other people got interested in it too, so demand raised. People realised it IS really rare, and compared to partyhats, actually useful. So there is demand for this third age, also by not-merchants. It's just that, once an item is on the rise and it's hard to get (cause of the frikking price controls, and the rarity ofc), prices have the tendency to totally inflate. Even more so cause of the fact that junk isnt worthless. So yes, third age street prices are stupidly high. But no, it's not just merchants that buy them. I think you just underestimate the amount of cash people have. A lot of people have 100m + cash that they can't do anything with. So what do they do? They buy this item that is supposed to go up. Remember when slayer came out and Oddball and some others got incredibely rich? Well, that was the time partyhats totally [bleep]ed. Oddball had gained like 1Bil and he could do nothing with it (no GS's, no bandos, no ...), so he and other slayers invested in dicontinued items. Now, we have new rares, since partyhats have lost their fate: Third age and Spirit shields and even more rich people.
  4. Do fire giants in chaos tunnels? Constant combat garantueed.
  5. Why did you state you had full armadyl etc? Dont wanna bash, but it just seems like unneeded boasting... I'd advice a DFS btw. It has only 5 mage def less, but 70 or so more melee and ranged defence.
  6. Why is ephraim saying "grats on destroying MY account again" then? A mistake I guess.
  7. Can you elaborate? Wasnt that his account? (seems like it from what I understand)

High alch isnt quick... And you dont loose LOT of money with it either.
  9. Wauw, what an amazing analysis.

That is because when meleeing your slayer tasks, you get this slayer helm bonuses. You wouldnt get those when you werent on a slayer task. If you range your slayer task, it is as if you are just ranging as always. No xp bonuses. You do get slayer xp as a bonus of course, that's true. I do get what you mean though, and If I were 70 ranged, I'd most probably do it through slayer, although aviansies would be a really good alternative. However, at like lvl 90 or so, ranging is ungodly slow and I'd rather chin my way up (if I wanted to get 99, which I did, but somewhat regret).
  11. Off topic: Mazgar, dont forgot, untill 2 days ago, you didnt use any punctuations AT ALL. :-)
  12. bedman replied to The_Gabe's topic in Help and Advice
50K per hammer for con xp, pretty sure about that.
  13. Gold is outdated. SC hammers all the way now. Make addy bolts or arrowtips. You get 120k xp an hour, not counting the time it takes to do SC (which is fun :-))
  14. I love them too, but I'm a bit dissapointed about the last ones (fally, seers, relekka). Also, you either get "free" craft xp, or you make profit with those battlestaves. You cant have both of em together.
  15. Of course you are better off selling your partyhats in the GE. They are OVERpriced. Nobody is willing to buy them for full cash, let alone a partyhat + junk for full cash. I was thinking we were finally getting somewhere, but this statement made me doubt it.
  16. I've got a third age robe top and a third age amulet. I've bought the robe top when it was 22M and the amulet when it was 20M. If I would sell them now on the GE for max, i'd make around 45M. If I did what you said and sold them on the GE when I got them I would have made 3M. How can you possible say selling is your best option for making profit? You are also saying that by keeping the item you will only contribute to the stagnation of the price. While this is true, who in their right mind sacrificies 42M to "help the community" by letting those undervalued items go up quicker. Who? I certainly don't. On the other hand, I do agree it's very silly of people to spend hours upon hours collecting junk. That's a small minority though. Most people with a lot of junk have either accumulated it over time, or have gotten it by buyng some underpriced item. In those cases, you're best off selling your rare with that junk, and this way, liquidate those frozen assets. But I think you already said that too. I was just pointing out that there's few people who actively seek for junk. Those oportunities are long gone.
  17. Very nice. I'd say you should work on your summoning (through slayer and bursting) and slayer.
  18. I do agree, but now you are suddenly talking about "stable rares". For stable rares (AGS, ...) junk trading isnt even an issue. It's about items that are severly underpriced and arent changing cause NOBODY in their right mind sells it (Divine, Elysian as an example). You are saying you would sell it cause you would at least make 10M of it if you sold it for max. Well, I find that hard to beleive and I also find it silly of you to tell us to do it too. So for players with no junk to liquidate, the best option is to keep it, or sell to friends. My point is: If everyone stopped junk trading, nothing would be solved. People would just be more inclined to keep the items to themselves. No one wants to sacrifice his cash so that others can sell something for a higher price the next day. The whole GE mechanism is flawed and that's where the solutions lie: changing the GE mechanics. NOT another attitude towards junk trading.
  19. Wow, what a difference (punctions, not a new line every sentence). Looks SO much better, really. I know it should be all about what a message contains, but sometimes the looks can make a lot of difference. Thanks for making the effort (allthough, anybody should make the effort, for everyone's good). Anyway, I'll explain it AGAIN (well, not really, others have explained it). You CANT compare to this real life economics. I have yet to hear of a government saying "scrap metal is worth more than the brand new materials, we have got this computerchips put into your body that paralyse you when you try to pay less for that scrap metal." Things like the law of supply and demand still apply of course, and there are different parameters (like valuing of xp, which isnt the fact in real life). This whole price control is something unique. The whole net worth you are talking about is biased. I do agree the net worth doesnt change when junk trading, technically. And I do realise that it does change if you sell that 3a for max. But if the value of your items is wrongly valued, what does a net worth say? NOTHING. So to conclude: Technically speaking, you are right that people who sell their 3a with junk aren't profiting. However, since junk SHOULD be worthless, but it isnt priced like that, you can "liquidate your frozen assets" (like you called it) which you would otherwise *never* be able to liquidate (dont come up with general store trading, it's time consuming, and you dont even get the full GE price). [hide=]And congratulations on your results at school/Uni, but I still beat you :-) (100% on maths, 2 times in Highschool, 1 time at Uni). I would normally never boast about it, but since you started :D[/hide]
  20. bedman go to school and talk to thee economics teacher, ask them to explain the difference between liquidation and profit to you Why dont you: a) Go to school (in general). B) Develop a brain. c) Learn to use punctuations. d) Learn not to use enter on every sentence. You've been proven wrong so many times. Everyone has tried explaining it to you. I'm not even bothering anymore to explain again what Soma and others have done much better than me. I'm only going to ask you to read it again. And again. And again. Till you finally understand it.
  21. "Explain to me how alching works". :wall: Only thing I should have mentioned it that it's diamond bolt enchanting. However, prices changed, so could be that you're making losses now, but when I did it, I could break even, and sometimes even make god profit.
  22. Bolt Enchanting+ is 120k xp an hour
  23. :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:
  24. I love those :-) Wish I had the balls to take an AGS to pvp. (and 99 str). I know you can protect and all that stuff, but still, I dont trust myself with that in pvp :D
  25. If you understand that no one fights without food and that you need a ko to actually get a kill, you'd understand that an ags is better. PVP isnt all pvp worlds. Duel tournaments, fight pits, I think that's what compfreak is talking about. At those places most people dont use food, or cant (no food duel).
