Slayer..
Ok, lets see, you can get say, 10 tasks of slow, bad xp, like say Iron dragons, or 10 tasks of something fast, good xp, and possibly good money, like, a combo of hellhounds and spiritual mages. There is obviously no way to actually even come close to limiting an amount of xp from an hour, let alone a day of slayer, unless you are: 1. Stupid enough to try 2. Psychic 3. Stuck in a very very obvious loop I would like someone to explain to me how to average slayer xp without knowing what tasks you will get. Gavati, for one hit the nail on the head. The point of this debate is not, why train slayer by melee, its why not train ranged by slayer. Some tasks can be faster via range, can be more fun, can be more efficient and cheaper. Though, there are little that defeat melee in any of this, there are still some. Are you [bleep]ing [developmentally delayed]ed? Do 500 tasks and you will have a VERY good estimate of how much xp you get on average. There's plenty of people like Zarfot, who recorded their xp. I cant belive I have to explain this Secondly, besides Turoth/Kurask, I dont know ANY task that is done faster with ranging (considering you have equal stats, so for you it'd be 75 melee, or 75 ranged).

What are your thoughts on grand exchange merchanting?
Actually, they do have minimum prices. Look at maple longbows (u). Those are used as junk now. So NO to minimum prices. However, a scrap metal dealer or something would be nice, although I think bars would just go up even more in price then.

Combat Familiars.
This is something I definately have an issue with. I've only been playing RS again for around 3 weeks after a 1.5 year break and i'm sure it's already been discussed to death, but combat familiars only being really useful in multi combat areas was something I was pretty disappointed with. Sure, it's nice having the extra healing/bag space from certain familiars, but considering summoning raises your combat level, the affect it has in single combat is pretty underwhelming. Of course, my summoning still definately needs some work, but those are my first impressions on combat familiars. Fight me and my unicorn in a no food duel?

Skillers
I agree. Why get 99 cooking twice
-
How rich are you?
Which skills then? Most of your high lvl skills are collecting skills... Most people who say they rather spend it on skills dont realise that spending the cash and lvling also takes time. I mean, I could pour 150M into herblore and get 99, but I dont feel like doing that for 70 hours straight. I could get 99 crafting, pouring about 30m into it, but I dont wanna spend 40 hours of crafting hides/making staves. That's why my net worth keeps growing.

Wtf? THEY didnt screw it up badly, WE did, straving for as much 99s as possible. The G£ just made it easier to unload the finished products.

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
Did this guy buy your phat by any chance? Lol. I must say I'm not a big fan of your outfit tbh. It just doesnt seem right to me, somehow. Like unmatching clothes/colors (purple and red I guess).

How rich are you?

good inventory for dust devils
The repair cost is, hmm, 6k an hour. You cant afford that? Wow, you must be poor. + you eat less, so you hit more, and you *save* fish. Yes, you might actually save like 2k worth of fish, if not more! That's a lot to you, right?

is there faster exp then aviansie
Fire giants 23k, lmao. Try 50k with broad bolts, void and 90+ ranged. Also, using SC hammers for chinning is lame (like you said), but not only because you can not use full void. Also, you would use around 20 helms an hour. So one hour of chinning is 600k xp, but it takes 6+ hours to collect the helms. So thats 600k xp in 7 hours, for the cost of 900k (rough estimate, I could look it up if you want to). Compare that to 600k xp in 2 hours, for the cost of 1.8M. Can you make 900k in 5 hours? I can. However, SC is loads of fun, so if you truly enjoy it, and you dont want to lvl smithing or construction with it, you might as well give ranging helmets a go. Just know that you are getting 45k ranged xp for free there. (15k extra xp per helm). Decide for yourself wether it's worth it. For me, I'd rather get 75k free con xp, or 90k free smith xp, but that's me :-).

Waterfiends guide?
If it's the one from Oxidation, it isnt out of date. Also, in the discussion of the topic, there is a link to a guide to Dharok them, which is actually the fastest way to do it. Might want to look for that perhaps. (I heard up to 140 crimsons an hour, but that didnt include banking I think)

Waterfiends guide?
have you even looked for one? There is a great one from Oxidation on here, I think in the archive of wisdom.

Achieving level 99, naturally.
That's what I miss. Now it seems it's just a grindfest to the most 99s, starting with cooking, flethcing and firemaking. Great topic, I was wondering about it too.

An Essence of Skills Divided
A good skill for me is a skill that isnt straightforward. A skill that has lots of ways to train it which all have their benefits. Examples: Magic (you can burst, you can alch, you can bolt enchant, you can make planks, you can enchant in MTA, you can fire wave, you can do COG at DKS, ...) Summoning (you can camp waterfiends, you can burst/barrage, you can do slayer) Melee, ranging (obvious) Crafting (battlestaves, dragonhides, jewelry, silver, Yak hides, leather) "Bad skills" IMO. Hunter: It's basicly just catching chins. Firemaking: maples, eucalyptus/yew, or mages ... EDIT: agility: even though it's used a lot, unconsciously, it is a really narrow skill. There is only one way to train it: do courses. And for the courses there's like 2 major choices: Ape atoll, and Dorgeshkaan (note, I'm talking for lvl 70+). Also, I like to train skills that not everyone and his mom has 99 in, just for having 99, so I dont like fletching, firemaking and cooking. I like to be a bit "special", or something... Also, somehow I'm not a big fan of AFK skills. I'd rather have a skill that needs my full attention (eg manually bursting rock lobsters), than a skill that just needs you to bank every 2 minutes. If I'm playing runescape, I like to *play*, not just click a few buttons every 2 min. Cleaing herbs and stuff like that is a bit overkill though (too much clicking). ... might continue

Help put an end to junk trading
Wow your post is absolutely unintelligible. I take it english isn't your first language. I tried, but i just couldn't make any sense of this, sorry. You have turned into an absolute, arrogant [wagon]. why?
-
Slayer..
Hit the nail on the head! Anyone who doesnt get it after reading this topic is a complete ... The only arguement you could throw in is that you could train melee first and then train ranged through slayer, gaining less overal ranged xp, but more slayer xp. So I guess it depends on what you value more: slayer xp and slow range xp, or quick range xp and no slay xp.

Ahrim's special on player
Muggiwhplar is a player who knows all too well the devastating effects of Ahrim in the wilderness. If you'd be so kind to show the above person the GIF animation that I've seen around here, then maybe you'd open up his eyes to the potential of Ahrims. Kind of going off topic here, but to answer some inquiries here about the usefulness of the Ahrim Hood/Staff, it's only good in the set effect. Farseer helm provides the same mage attack bonus as the Ahrim Hood, and is non degradable, so don't make the mistake on that one. There's also some better weapon slot equippables that trump the Ahrim Staff too, so outside of the set effect the hood and the staff are basically defunct items. That doesnt show the potential of ahrims, it shows the potential of ancients.

INCREDIBLE XP? or am i missing something?
I know, but some people say they degrade on an xp based time, just like SC stuff.

99 skill partys?

-
99 skill partys?
See how bad it has become: people are talking about CAPES now... *refrains himself for starting another 99 debate*
-
INCREDIBLE XP? or am i missing something?
So they degraded after a little over an hour?
