  1. You do not speak for the majority. Many members depend on raw materials gained from free players, and would not be pleased to all of a sudden have to get their own. There would be a dramatic effect if F2P was shut down or what-not. They wouldn't have to get their own though. They'd still be able to buy from other P2P players. There's really no difference between buying from a F2Per and biuying from a P2Per.
  2. I chose Guthix.. cause I'm a believer in balance in the universe and all that stuff.
  3. There wouldn't be a total lack of resources. There's some players out there who are fairly self suffient. It would have a devestating effect, but it wouldn't destroy it completely. And how would herblore & farming suffer from a lack of F2P resources?
  4. All you're saying is that the United States has a horrible legal system, which I already knew. :P Im australian. Oh sorry, it's just whenever I think of a sucky court system I think of the US. And rightfully so. Unfortunately, the Aussie legal system blows too.
  5. Or another way of looking at it: P2P is the expansion pack.
  6. Where do you get this "risk v reward" nonsense. You probably saw someone else mention it and thought it sounded like a good quote. I hate this type of sound-bite, which has no basis in truth. Did Jagex use it? I can't remember that. If there is a "risk v reward" culture in Runescape, where does Pest Control fit in? NO "risk", GOOD (was VERY GOOD) "reward"? Answers on a postcard please! Teeg Well I have an awesome postcard of Sydney Harbour Bridge at night, but I'm too lazy to sort out the scanner atm, so that part you'll have to go without! :P It's my own personal variation on 'If something seems too easy or too good to be true, it usually is.' There are very few things in life that yield a high reward and are also low risk. As for Runescape... it is largely the same. The stronger creatures you battle, the better the drops are. For Abyss RCing specifically the 'reward' is shaving time off your runs. It's possible to RC without going anywhere near the Wilderness and the way I see it is that if people want to RC quicker, they should accept the risks. As for PC... *sigh* I'm not even going to start. Did that help any?
  7. +1 I've said it before, I'll say it again: Risk vs Reward. Personally I don't see the point in a no-challenge kill, but then, I don't PK at all, so *shrugs*
  8. I'm in two minds on this one. 1. It's the wilderness. You gotta expect to be attacked. If I use the abyss, it's me, my pouches and the tiara. 2. Where's the satisfaction in killing a completely unarmed player? I'd see it as more of an achievement to kill someone who's eating and using pots. But I know that's not the way everyone else sees it. I stand by "risk vs reward." If you're not prepared to risk being pked, find another way to do it.
  9. If people are still being lured after the introduction of the wilderness ditch, then no guide is going to help them.
  10. I would say that P2P is the expansion pack of F2P.
  11. *s[racist term]* Hannibal Lector for 99 slayer & cooking
  12. why do you talk with so many breaks in your sentences its really hard to read Next time try to add some input that actually makes sense. To many members reading this, i just want you to know that us f2pers here on tip.it are aware that "f2p is immature" and that "most f2pers buy money off of the internet." and that "there are too many macros in f2p." But that certainly doesnt mean that all of them do. Especially the ones with 99s. Just imagine, you work very hard for a certain 99 skill (Woodcutting for example). You walk around wishing you had a way to show it. Then, some random person asks you the question. them: "Wc lvl?" you: 99 them: zomg noob lyer u r dum" Im sure many of our f2pers with 99s here (Nje, jackstick, ect) have this happen to them a lot (tell me if im wrong) I would find it very annoying, and i would wish that i had a way to prove it other than saying "look me up, im not lying." Because 9/10 people will not go to look you up. because i was making it look like 2 people talking, now to flame you in the same way you failed at flaming me you think that this makes you look intelligent but really your a moron Excellent. I'm glad we're agreed on this basic point - you're a moron.
  13. Oh yeah, correct. These P2Ps make everyone think that all P2Ps are dumb, hypocritical and selfish, when a lot of them aren't and care for the F2Ps and whatever. They (the bad ones) think all F2Ps are cry babies that want everything. We don't NEED everything, we don't DESERVE everything but we SHOULD get some things. Nobody likes being neglected. F2Ps are more (note it's "More", not "Aren't") neglected than P2Ps, but we still get things. P2Ps notice we should get around 10% of RS at least, and we don't want everything, otherwise... good-bye to RS. If you don't NEED anything and don't DESERVE anything, then why SHOULD you get anything? Ignorant. I said "Everything", not "Anything", for crap's sake. People should pay more attention, unlike me, who barely has attention and would lose my head if it wasn't stuck on my neck. Wait, it is? Didn't notice. Not ignorant, just trying to read with a toddler throwing food at the back of my head. I have a general stance of 'no pay? no updates!' but that's knee-jerk reaction to the all the entitlement posts of "OMG! We MUST have this or I'll quit!!!elventy-one!!!11!!" For the most part, I don't care. Sorry then. Why F2Ps think they need something? If Ashes were the only Member items... Who would become member? Jagex loses lots of money and boom, it's over, RS, unless Ads give enough money. Frankly, I'm happy with the stuff we have now, though there's a lot of stuff I'd like on F2P's (damn POHs). People should learn that in life, they need food, water, a place to crap and another to sleep. Not anything else. Do I need a PS2 to survive? Do I need to have a Lvl70 orc in WoW to survive? No. Another stupid thing is that "They don't pay, they don't get anything" is NOT a reason to the lack of updates. Did we pay for a public toilet, fountain, a place to drink, and all public stuff? Not either. RS can't be compared with most of RL. (Also, ChickyBee, I'm not criticizing (???) you. Just clearing up some things) That's cool. I understand that everyone has their own opinion and that it will rarely be the same as mine. I see it like cable TV - I pay so much a month for all available channels and I'd get annoyed if someone paying less demanded a channel they haven't paid for. But if my cable company said "We're going to make this channel available to everyone" I wouldn't turn around and cancel my subscription. I'd shrug and make a coffee.

  16. I met my goals. We went down the local pub and heckled all the kareoke singers while downing jigs of bourbons. Then we stood around the local kebab van for several hours in the middle of a thunderstorm. Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
  17. But it's just a jump to the left and a step to the right. How can you screw that up? ;) Hey for a kid that doesn't even what left & right means, I'm pretty impressed. :P .. of course, I do tend to leave out the pelvic thrusting... there's just something wrong about seeing a kid in nappies do that.
  18. What does it say that my first thought was "Hang on! But he had nothing to do with that side of things? He was just the handy man!" Yes, I'll get it  My 16 month old son grooves to 'Sweet Transvestite' and can make a pretty decent effort at the Time Warp.
  19. Depends on how it was affecting her though. She may have needed the computer for study or work and been unable to use it. If that was the case, I can understand, any thing else I'd say she used it as an excuse to move out. how would that make a difference? unless the computer magically split in half as she left. She should have her own comp anyway at that age. It would make a difference because... oh let's see... she wasn't able to study for school and complete assignments? As someone who at the same age, had to fight tooth and nail to get the computer off a Sim City addicted sibling, it is possible for school work to suffer when someone else in the house hold has a computer related addiction. Should have her own computer at 16? There are many reasons why that simply isn't gonna happen.
  20. it's post like these that annoy me. No one has said to this date that they play runescape just for education. Everyone already enjoys it because it is a game. An added bonus is that it can teach you certain RL skills. I never said that everyone is saying they play RS just for educational value. And if anyone said that outright, I'd tell them to sell the computer and join a library. A lot of the posts on what's been learnt come across as "I learned this and this and that makes playing RS okay!" The real joke there is that a large section of the knowledge is either inaccurate or could be better learnt elsewhere.
  21. Just the once? Damn, you do learn quick! My parents broke wooden spoons over my backside. Although they stopped using the wooden spoon the day the head flew off, bounced off the wall and hit my mother in the forehead.
