  1. Cleaned up a lot of "me too" and repetitive posts.
  2. Cleaned up some posts that didn't contribute anything.
  3. I have seen other "luring responses" from Jagex that seemed to be answering different questions. The answer really depends on how the question is phrased. Whatever the Jagex rules, the official policy here at Tip.it is that trade luring is a scam.
  4. Sure, the grammar may seem similar, but C source is very very different looking than Java source. Also, I'm not sure what you mean about "heavily based". Wow, someone suggested LaTeX. That's terrible man. :D
  5. Awesome man, just totally awesome.
  6. Congrats man. At the slow (but profitable) rate I'm going, I'll be 99 Herblore in 2 years :P
  7. Unlocked and moved.
  8. Solid, there's plenty of lying. "Come to the tree to sell/buy this thing" comes to mind. The person has neither the item to sell/the cash to buy or the intention to make a trade.
  9. True, it would be sort of like pking old women and kindergarteners. *** What is Jagex up to? They keep releasing untradable gear that removes more and more incentive for people to PK. Even a skiller like me thinks this is a bad thing. Is there any hope? Is Jagex moving in the wrong direction? Is there any positive side to these changes? I don't know, I don't pk.
  10. Perhaps Jagex made these a bit too rare for the bonuses they offer? After all, these aren't discontinued items, so people may not be willing to spend tons of GP on them just because they're super uncommon.
  11. Go slow, don't burn yourself out. I made it to 99 without hating the skill, since I paced myself.
  12. I'd be willing to bet that there is sound business logic behind the "level" of updates released. Perhaps Jagex knows that the average account (totally random numbers) lasts 6 months and reaches 70 combat. Then perhaps they would be able to increase that average time by releasing updates geared at or slightly above that level, so that the average time would increase. If they release updates for too high of a level, this "average" player might get discouraged and quit. Perhaps Jagex also knows that once you reach 100 combat or 40m xp (again, random numbers), you're invested enough in the game that you don't quit easily. They want to get you "over the hump" so that you'll stay, but not give you any more than necessary.
  13. Too many Off Topic post there to get a good answer :P I've gotten almost as many 0/10 as I have 8 or 9 or 10/10.
  14. It has cost you a penny, just out of kingdom profits. That's cooking the books to make it look better. :)
  15. I get probably 5 HYT a day if I'm not in 99, 20 or more if I am in 99.
  16. I am guessing that the benefit probably settles around 10%. If you're going for 99 WC, 10% less time is quite a lot. Even if it's only 5%, it's worth it to me. Let's say, for the sake of argument, that I need 112k willows for 99 WC. I'll also assume that with the rune axe, I can cut 700 an hour. That's 160 hours. Even at 5%, the dragon axe saves me 8 hours - probably close to a week of playing. To me, that's very much worth it.
