I'm flattered, but I've had this conversation with "da bosses" before. The minute you become a mod is the minute you lose your ability to express yourself fully in a rant or reply. If you mod rants, you can't really participate in rants. Conflict of interest.

I "merchanted" crystal keys when I wanted glories. I'd sell a few, keep a few - made no cash profit, but built up a nice stash. Now that I can make glories myself, it's a nice thing.

Yes. As I argued before ;), the Rants forum as it stands has very little to do with ranting. All of the "I need to blow off steam" topics are disallowed currently. Yes, if vigorously enforced. People will still want to start topics, both for post counts and visibility. I like this idea the best. It will be very nice to have somewhere to debate without worrying about conforming to whatever rules/guidelines make up a "good rant". Again, we will need heavy moderation, at least to start.

87 Combat, 1784 total - 20.5 now. I'm like 4k mage xp from 88cb, so it'll go down a bit soon.

For me, farming and herblore go hand in hand (I'm 91 in both). They are a great source of income, so I keep working them. I expect to mosey my way to 99 in 2007, but we'll see. Even when I do, I'll at least keep farming for the profits.

I think along the same lines as the original poster. I currently have the fletching and cooking cape, and am working towards the firemaking cape. However, I decided that my next 99 needs to be in a non-purchasable skill. At this point I'm thinking thieving. The combat capes are the most common, even as easy as fletching and cooking are to get.

I have 8, have planted and dug up 5.

I am a big saver - but at some point, I'll start spending to get levels. After all, what's the point of the cash? I have several rares, and I get annoyed when I don't see that "20M" marker in the top left corner of my bank.

Skills, always. I can make several million a month just farming cheap herbs, and that hardly takes any time at all.

It usually takes me 4 trips to get my pouches fixed in the abyss. My mind is on the "craft natures" rut and doesn't get out very easily.

I died maging blue dragons from a safe spot and lost my runes + splitbark. That was probably a year ago. Biggest scam was a unid switcher about a year and a half ago. It was only 500k, but I had 600k at the time. Now I don't combat, and don't wear rares/armor, so dying chances are minimal.

You'd better "invite" me this time!
