  1. Think I'll just go for some chocolates. Reminds me to sneakily find out what she likes. I think a shake weight would get me a big ol' slap in the face.
  2. Trading in F2P and forums only is a right pain, would love access to world 2. edit: Sold my green for a Yellow + 40m +green h'ween After selling the green for 65m, works out at exactly 100m profit after upgrading for 5m. Not bad for a few days of not playing.
  3. Does anybody have a rough estimate on what Greens and Yellows are at the moment just so i know I'm not getting ripped off?
  4. Would this be a good time to sell off my green and re-buy a yellow or are the prices fairly close?
  5. You have already had this topic locked once here http://forum.tip.it/topic/286112-truth-runescape-will-die-after-1st-february/page__p__4702464#entry4702464 Do NOT repost a thread if it is locked.
  6. Well person to person trading can come in useful now if you have all your G.E boxes full. Toad, you had better spread the wealth around, did anybody ever tell you who suggested you for your staff position? I'm going to give F2P pking a go just because I have the money to spend, but remembering where to buy rune gear is a pain. I can't remember where to get helmets.

  8. Personally I would prefer if it did. World 2 G.E laggs worse than Falador ever did due to the extra people the G.E naturally brings. It would be nice if everybody returns to the old areas as well. There was a really good map created here on TIF which laid out the areas incredibly well but I cannot remember exactly where it is located. I map of falador for those not around at the time: Area 1 - New Treasure Trail Items Area 2 - Party Hats Area 3 - Dragon Chain Area 4 - Dharok Area 5 - Torag Area 6 - Full Verac Area 7 - Verac Parts Area 8 - Ahrim Area 9 - Guthan Area 10 - Abbysal Whips Area 11 - Dragon Square Sheild Area 12 - Karil Area 13 - Obsidian Capes and Sheilds Area 14 - Furys and Rings Area 15 - Infinity Area 16 - Mystic Armour Area 17 - Rune Boots and Black Cavs Area 18 - Ranger Sets Area 19 - Dragon Amour (No Chain) Area 20 - Easter Egg, Pumpkins, and Disks Area 21 - Santa and H' Masks Area 22 - Rune God Armour Area 23 - Guilded Rune Amour Area 24 - God Pages Area 25 - Herbs, Seconds, Pots, and Seeds Area 26 - Sharks and Lobsters Area 27 - Inside Bank Area 28 - Dragon Bones and Green Dragonhide Area 29 - Glories and Dragon Weapons Area 30 - Rune Items Area 31 - Range Supplies Area 32 - Magic Runes
  9. I agree with the above. Please ask the question in your original thread.
  10. Well we knew wilderness was returning but what's with the green dragons and the foggy look? Is that the chaos tunnels or are they brutals?
  11. Same here. The same as the Tunisia riots, I didn't know why they were doing it either.
  12. Oh look, dipping into cultural stereotypes to fix your own analogy. Skill. As I said, it depends on what you define at the best or greatest. Some sports are cultural, but football has had such a worldwide appeal that is has crossed a lot of cultural barriers. It has become so dominant due to it's ease to play and simplicity in playing. I would assume it is played by more schoolchildren across the world than any other sport as well as being watched by more. Does that make it the best? I would personally use that definition, but you haven't put one forward. You have said your opinion but no reason to argue against those who think it is the best. What makes it not the best without using your opinion that you don't personally like it?
  13. Weapons and armor are risked because that's their nature. You can't compare risking pots with risking weapons because they have different purposes. Yes you can, they have exactly the same purpose, to make killing faster and not dyeing easier. As to your previous point about food being buy able the same as herblore just more expensive. The prices mean that one, is accessible to the vast majority of players meaning that nobody has an over the top advantage over another. With untradeable herblore potions, they give an advantage that only a tiny minority can use and will then become hugely overpowered compared to those who can't make them. Players shouldn't be forced to spend millions just so they can play an integral part of the game which people have been campaigning to bring back for years. As your other point, they also, most crucially require the combat level to use. Combat level isn't about people having an item at x level, it's about the ability to have it. That ties in to Jagex's statement about things being visible. You can complete the quests with the non combat skills but be below the combat level and others would know you still don't have the item. Auror: the thing with dungeoneering weapons is that they need both a combat requirement and the risk.
  14. Items resulting from quests shouldn't be allowed, quests require non-combat skills. Potions shouldn't be allowed, herblore isn't a combat skill. Food shouldn't be allowed, cooking and fishing aren't combat skills. Geez, sure is good argument in here. Yes because items got from quests require combat skills to wield. Food can be bought so is equal for all, along with the tradeable potions.
  15. If you wan to to talk, technically it is. (Strangely, I actually had this train of thought a few days ago). It all depends on what you mean by best. In food, is it taste, how much it fills you up, healthiness, speed, availability or presentation? A small plate of food from a posh restaurant that chefs would call the best to me is terrible food because it doesn't do the basic thing food should which is to fill you up. It may taste and look good but fails on other points. Somewhere like McDonalds fills most criteria to a high grade which has allowed it to be popular worldwide. Depending on your definition, it can be classed as the best indeed. So how would you define the best? You may say this definition is rubbish, but you haven't put forward your own definition. As I say, all opinions are valid, but surely the majority opinion has more chance to be right than the minority.
  16. Yeah it means you get another death added. Would be nice to see a deaths pantheon.
  17. i'd take pauses if it means more bursts of action play, instead of several snorefest moments in one period. just because there's no "time outs" in soccer doesn't mean there isn't time wasting. diving, substitution, and just full blown turtling add up more than the "pauses" you're complaining about though i agree, baseball is actually slower than soccer. but i'm not claiming one is better than the other. either way that's why hockey is better isn't it? (edit: relative to pauses, not in general) no stoppage of play in substitution means the game doesn't slow down and you don't have to watch a bunch of players play exhausted it also has hard hits. only team sport that allows fights, and real fights at that. it's a man's game, while a soccer player is bent over in half because he got tapped in the shoulder ;) btw basketball has limited time outs, so you can't just keep calling time outs every 10 seconds. when was the last time you watched a game? And now you're claiming hockey is the best sport. It is all about opinion but your lack of any appreciation for football is annoying. You seem to be ranting on unsupported arguments. There are many sports shown in Europe, football has a large world following not just in Europe but South America, Asia, Africa and even in North America. It is definitely, the undisputed best sport in the world if you define it by which sport has the most viewers. That is probably the easiest way to define it as to have viewers, a sport has to be interesting to those people. Apart from the Olympics, I don't think there is any other sport out there which brings more countries together in a peaceful competition allowing for cultural awareness and rivalries. The simplicity of the sport as others have said, has given the game such worldwide appeal. Have fun going to the park to play an American football game with three friends. When you grow up playing the sport with friends, you gain an appreciation of the sport. Your personal opinion on the sport is totally valid, it's an opinion, but it doesn't mean it is better than any other opinion. I personally am not the biggest football fan unless there is an England game on or a cup final. Personally I prefer motorsports. That doesn't mean they are better, it just means they appeal to different people in different ways.
  18. Time to get this discussion back on topic. If you want to flame Jagex for reasons other than community events do it elsewhere. Any posts not about this community event are liable to be removed and actions taken from this point on. Discuss the community event or don't post, it isn't hard.
  19. Definitely something overheating then by the sounds of it. Has it only just started? If so, it could just be due a clean and be overheating due to dust.
  20. Could you not install MSE to see if it gets rid of them?
  21. Are you sure it's beeping and not a scraping/grinding sound? Could be a wonky fan or a broken fan when your computer is hot.
  22. The thing is Dire_wolf, if they were to spawn loads of revs, it would make the event more unattractive to the lower players. It's a hard balance to strike, so Jagex have to cater to one or the other in this situation, but as you say, we don't actually know what they will be doing. Grimy, sorry, but you know next to nothing of coding or how Jagex organises it's staff, so saying something is a complete joke and unimpressive is itself a complete joke. A team of developers don't just sit there with a blank canvas and create an update from scratch, they will get designers designing it, then they will create it, it may go back to the designers, back to the coders, then to QA and then back to the coders and so forth. It isn't a cut and dry mathematical equation. Developers will be spread and allocated to where needed. Mods aren't going to tinker in-game any more due to the amount of ranting that will come of it and any accidents that could happen in the game now. I find it very hash to call something pathetic when you have no clue how it works and how much work goes into it, all because it isn't catered to you personally.
  23. I have to agree. People think Jagex does nothing special compared to other companies? Psh, such a fallacy. Maybe compared to Blizzard, but they have a huge budget which means they can dedicate many more staff, as well as not having many staff tied up in weekly updates who can be diverted to making new content for an event. I promise you, go to a majority of MMO's and they won't even have a community team or staff members doing anything in the game. Many of them who do try at events do things very similar to Runescape, but very very rarely anything more. Jagex are doing their best to play with the community within their budget and timeframes. If they didn't think they were doing as good as they can, they would try something else. Just because an event isn't for you, doesn't mean it isn't for others. Considering a majority of this forum's voices (but not readers) are higher level players who will rarely get involved in events which don't give rewards, you can't expect a positive reaction here.
  24. I have to agree. The OP seems more biased than the people he's trying to rant about.
  25. I actually agree with blind_auror, it's a nice to way get the whole games community involved in the lore of the game. "and the armies of men came to reclaim the wilderness from the dead to use as their battleground once more".
