  2. Just saw Resident evil: Afterlife. Argh @ the ending, I expected it to be the last in the series.
  3. This weeks rules sound much more fun by the way.
  4. Mind = Blown. Does it actually work though? Looks like the start would be really slow. The new rules sound much more fun to try.
  5. The ESRB Ratings report is one of the best selling points of the game. You would think they had been paid to make the game sound as bad-a as possible:
  6. When does the week end?
  7. Driving fast isn't a totally bad thing to do, but driving fast in a residential area is. It really isn't worth the risk. 75 in a Residential zone? If somebody had walked onto the street they would have died, period. It is such an idiotic thing to do. You cannot possibly know every person will be at work or every child will be in school. NEVER drive fast in areas where there are pavements. I personally cannot stand people who excessively speed, even if it is only once or twice. I won't deny, I often go through 30 areas at 40, or 50 areas at 60, hell I sometimes drive down the motorway at 80-85, but driving those speeds in areas where there are pedestrians is not the right thing to do, and unlike many people I won't say live and let learn, you need a good hiding for that. Damn right you got scared by the police and serves you right, they should have done more, you may as well have been walking around with a loaded gun. I have no patience for people who put other peoples lives at risk. go ahead and kill yourself driving, I don't care too much, but other innocent people, I do care. The same goes for drunk driving.
  8. This is a bold claim to make without any proof. It is also not going to make people think very highly of RSWiki therefore I am locking this. If you find some proof and want this opened you should PM either me or another Moderator.
  9. In the last two weeks I've seen: 127 hours: Great film, great seeing his transition from sane to near crazy and the feel good tone at the end was nice. Black Swan: Went in not knowing what to expect, my god what a strange film. The finger-skin part was the worst but it started annoyingly slow. I wouldn't watch it again, but wasn't trash. Despicable me: Didn't expect it to be good but it was amazing. One of the best animations I've seen for a long time. Up there with some Pixar films in my opinion. It had a very cute charm. Paul: Another good film, much better than Hot fuzz, almost as good as Shaun of the dead. Should hopefully be seeing Drive Angry in 3D this coming week, looking forward to it, even if it is just for Cage.
  10. Isn't there a default yellow legs that would match?
  11. We don't know the extent to which it will be improved so we can't really speculate at all.
  12. You seem to be laboring under the impression that whether a player is high level or not is a matter of luck and not something players can control. NOPE. Please tell me where I say that. High level in some skills can be influenced a lot by luck, I will say that. Getting yourself 99 prayer right now or 99 herblore right now requires a certain amount of luck either getting monster drops or stakes, getting lucky with price rises/changes. It isn't totally luck as a player can grind the pathetically low money making skills, but who would do that right?
  13. Personally no I don't. Herblore has turned into a horrible skill which for the ultra high levels has improved the game, but for those under those levels has almost ruined some aspects. They have become imbalanced in Mhing (not going to get into the whole crashing debate) and made herblore incredibly expensive to train. It has, as with many things in runescape, made the rich richer and the poor comparably poorer. I could see a high level non-tradeable smithing update doing the same. Depending on the benefits, if we have anything go go on by the herblore update, it would make training it for your average joe even more painful than it already is. Although compared to herblore it is easier to get the raw materials so DIY would be easier, it would still not help the majority of Runescape players, those who cannot afford to get 90+ in buyables at all. I do not deny smithing needs a major overhaul, but making it like herblore would not be the way. This update however could be the overhaul it needs. If somehow it makes smithing cheaper to train and gives an alternative to standing at an anvil or a furnace for hours, making the higher level update in the future would be less painful than making it now. It's better for them to put the infrastructure in the game now than to wait until after. Edit: To add as well, we don't know that this isn't the overhaul either. They don't explain what an ancient ceremonial sword will be or what the armour will be. For all we know, they could be parts you add to existing armour like people have explained. Add ceremonial armour plates onto existing armour? We just don't know. Judging it now is pointless as many people can and probably will change their opinion when the update rolls around.
  14. If you don't like quests, why bother having a quest cape? Shouldn't a cape be for something you enjoy doing? Don't want to do quests, don't do them?
  15. Honestly? Then why even HAVE a smithing update if you're not going to provide USEFUL content for producing material with a user-requirement of over level 30-40? Why raise a skill to 99 just to make junk that no one in P2P even uses anymore -- to give use even more crap that no one's going to use? Ceremonial (rune) swords? Really? That's the best we can hope for? Are you telling us that the management at Jagex doesn't know this? Are you telling us that, when Jagex said they were going to update/upgrade/revamp smithing, that they put their heads together and said: Mod in charge: "We're going to revamp/upgrade/update smithing by creating a Workshop that will basically allow the players to get more XP per bar creating useless items that no one will use our want in P2P ..." Other Mods: "oooh! ahhh! Brilliant! Super! Oooh yeah, baby!" Mod in charge: "This is exactly what the players want, yep yep yep! My morning milk comes from cats ..." Other Mods: "oooh! ahhh! Brilliant! Super! Oooh yeah, baby!" Really? And you know these items will be useless how? You know it will produce nothing useful how? Please also show me where Jagex have stated this update will be more than just an update. The herblore update came as a high level herblore update, this has never been called a high level smithing update as far as I can see. Players may have thought that's what it will be but Jagex may never have intended it to be. This is exactly the reason Jagex removed the BTS and turned away any questions about any future content. Players have a hard time realising that not every update will revolutionise Runescape for the limited ultra high levels
  16. http://forum.tip.it/topic/288713-01-mar-2011-elemental-workshop-iv/ was first unfortunately.
  17. It isn't Jagex's fault when all they say is 'there is a smithing update coming' players turn that into meaning it is going to revolutionise smithing. Jagex have not made he update sound appealing, players have. Players came up with idea for what they wanted and assumed Jagex had been making their idea when in fact they had not.
  18. Hardly, its a low level update and your way late on that. You should have had that up after the living rock cavern update. Thats the official way to train smithing nowadays. You have an odd definition of low level update. If making the lowest level ceremonial swords, which I assume to be bronze, requires level 70, then rune is going to be pretty high. I love how you are almost always the only person who steps back and thinks before posting. The BTS doesn't label everything possible for the smithing update, only a selection what will be. Just because it mentions Adamant ceremonial swords doesn't mean there will only be them. The smithing update has however been so obverhyped by players that always hate Jagex that whatever happened it would be bashed so it doesn't really matter what they do.
  19. On the speaking of allies:
  20. So yeah I am kind of excited if you couldn't tell.
  21. So yeah I am kind of excited if you couldn't tell.
  22. The topic died off over a year ago and really doesn't have any more discussion value (since Jard did eventually get the examine as far as I know), so to prevent spam I'm locking this.
  23. I have quite a few assignments due in this month so I doubt I can update this thoroughly but If we have any new OT browsers it would be nice to get enough squares to fully finish it. I think I still have the full copy somewhere. If It does get finished, I may consider finding a way of getting it printed onto a poster. I'd love to have it hanging on my wall, a good reminder of so many OT people.
