Spot stealing wrong?
If you think this thread is the same as the crashing thread (which imo it isn't), you do not have to post saying so. You can always, and I suggest not posting and letting those who want to, to discuss the topic. Lets also keep any flame and judgements on others minimal, the topic is not about the people, it is about the practice of stealing a spot. Keep it that way or posts may be removed.

Cars
I'm not a huge fan of the new mini's at all. Firstly because they really aren't mini at all. They have the same rough shape as an old mini, but they are so much larger. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqCeoKTHFtM Secondly they feel to me as a bandwagon car. People get them because it's a Mini, not because it's a car they like, just because it has the name. There are MUCH better small cars out there at the moment.

Spot stealing wrong?
I think it would be nice to have a thread on this subject which is NOT about bosses where competition is forced due to lack of worlds. This is different from the crashing thread in that regard.

Antimatter atoms produced and trapped at CERN
The whole matter and anti-matter thing went straight over my head. It is probably a really cool discovery, but I haven't got a clue.

4chan DDoS's some anti-piracy sites.
Sarcastic good luck to them! If they wanted that they should have tried it first. Maybe now they are seeing that their attacks do nothing and they are resorting to another tactic? The problem is that now nobody will take them seriously. Calling them 'Demands' is even worse, they may even be treated as terrorists.

RPG game similar to Call of Duty/Battlefield?
Do you mean FPS, or just a massively hyped and advertised game?

new member
I would say wander around with no aims except doing quests and discovering new content when you come across it. You have plenty of time to plan ahead, take time to enjoy this early member period while everything is still fresh.

Prince William gets Engaged to Kate Middleton
The thing is, in a way, they are a fail-safe. If we somehow managed to get a power hungry government which decided to go into a full war with another country, the Royal family could theoretically stop it. It is a system which has been refined over hundreds of years. You have to remember that our governmental system was one of the first if not the first to use a monarchy and a parliament. It was formed before many other governments in the world, specifically the American system which I could call just as strange in that it keeps going back to a document written hundreds of years ago for things which are not relevant to today. It works, and it seems to work well. Once we get a younger King in William, we may actually see him use some of his power. It is a very big deal, especially considering how big his mother was. Can Kate live up to the expectations of what came before? I hope she does. In an interview they did today, they looked madly in Love and seemed much more comfortable than his Father and Mother were.

Exclusive Content
Many people play the game for a vast variety of different reasons. Stonewall, you have even argued that fact with me in depth in the past so you should know that. Many players such as yourself will play to reach goals which elite updates enable you to do. However, there are also those who play for fun on the go, which lower level updates please. There are then many players with reasons in between, and many with reasons outside who don't care about updates at all. This forum has a large percentage of higher level players which does give the look that a majority of RS players want elite updates, but I would argue the opposite and that more want a casual game they can log into for a few hours a week. Neither group are better or more deserving than the other. By now, Jagex have realised that higher level players are much less likely to quit and get bored than lower level players. Jagex have done updates which changed the game drastically for many higher level players but they have stayed with the game. Because of this, they know that they do not need to make as many updates for them to keep making money. Jagex will and do focus on lower level content to get new players and new money.

Is Runescape (free worlds) really that popular as it appears?
The first few posts in this thread basically proves OrTradeMe's post. Members recently seem to see nothing past exp and money. F2P can make less money and less exp, but that does not make it intrinsically worse as a game. Being forced into a smaller area, F2P still has areas outside of the G.E in which players interact which has lead to it having an actual community, opposed to the shambles P2P has. F2P can be very fun as long as you think past exp and money. The game has it much more simple in terms of equiptment and combat which leads to PvP mini-games and the PvP worlds being much more accessible than the alternate P2P versions. Members has some very bad traits which luckily do not transfer fully over to F2P which actually keeps much of the 'old' charm of Runescape. A majority of members cannot give a valid opinion on F2P as it is so different from P2P that you need experience of it to do so. However, A majority do not have this experience and will say their opinion with nothing to back it up. Much like many who compare RS to WoW have no backing, this goes along the same lines. I do agree that F2P may not be as popular as it is said, but you have to remember that those who go on to members all started in F2P. A very small minority went straight to members, which does mean a majority of the accounts made for Runescape intended to play the game for free knowing they could. With games which have micro transactions, it is hard to differentiate those who play for free and those who pay, which often takes them off lists.

F1 2010 Season
I don't know if it was a lack of sleep or the race itself, but I did find the race hard to stay awake during. It had it's short flurry's, but for the main part it was a very straightforward race. The only exciting part of the race was how close Schumacher came to having his head taken clean off by a Force India tyre. It was a bit of an anti-climax, but I don't think any race could have seemed as big as the championship had been this year. As for the Championship, of all three main title hunters, Vettel was who I least wanted to win. He is incredibly fast but so far he doesn't have a very wise head on him. This does make him an incredibly good driver and a very fast one, but he doesn't think through things enough. Vettel had the brawn, Alonso the brain, Webber the wisdom. I still wish Webber had won, he is just such a likeable guy who has been in the sport for so long he deserves something for it. He had definitely been the most consistent guy this year. I definitely hope he stays next year and is in a good car. Now we have a long wait until next year, and we will have even more world champions starting.
