  1. I disagree with HL1's story running out, it is just a game with an incredibly subtle story. It fits well, a man on the ground wouldn't know exactly what was happening at every moment in an emergency. I prefer that style over having everything shouted at you in other games. I've been back and played it again, and apart from the final boss, it worked very well for a game which is now over a decade old. If I had the choice of playing either Hl1 or Hl2, it would definitely be 1. That is of course, until 3 comes out. I've actually owned every game on your list apart from Bioshock and Area 51 and agree that they are all great. Apart that is from halo. To consoles it was new and fresh, but to a PC gamer like me it never seemed as though it deserved all the praise. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Halo 3, but the first two I never completed due to boredom once the flood stages started. In original content, the first game was really lacking after the first few levels. They are going back to focusing more on Rally in Dirt 3, but I agree, a proper rally game is needed. We need a game which goes off the proper formula of having continuous stages with time carrying over and minimal time between to repair, going through a whole championship. Also, I'm sure soldier of fortunes gore had it's part to play in making your list ;)
  2. Come online today to see my guy has managed to attain a +29 weapon 'Laser hammer'. Woo! Unfortunately he was dead too, but he can be forgiven for that. He prayed as soon as he revived, then he's gone straight into a skirmish which he looks to be winning. Riku you need to speed up on the bricks. Currently at 13.9%, 139 ftw. Edit: 13:37 Notes from the battlefield: Hazle was killed. Danicus got 665 gold coins. Danicus acquired Hazle's ear and a golden brick for the temple to his disposal. Hazle's ear is a bold item, and now I'm at 140 bricks.
  3. Kim Jong-Un is the one you guys mean. The youngest son (as far as anybody knows). He is the real pivot now and in the next few years. Will he, being younger be more sympathetic to others, or will he be just as brainwashed as everybody else and possibly be even more erratic?
  4. I do the same when eating. For example, when I have a sunday roast, I'll eat the parsnips first, then carrots, then cabbage, then brussells, then broccoli, then I leave the meat until last. The best part of meal is always left until last. It is the lasting memory you have of it so it has to end well.
  5. Definitely agree with this. They were like miniature antiques shops. You could find the best bargains and little items people had dumped in there.
  6. That's the thing. Jagex are not in an easy position. Bots are not an easy thing to get rid of by any means. So many games have problems with them and I don't know of any which has managed to find a way to get rid of them effectively. Admittedly banning was a much better idea than stat wipes, but they are definitely running low on ideas. With my limited knowledge of updates throwing bots off, All I can think of is doing some sort of daily server reset to at least slow them down.
  7. I have an obsession with wiping my nose. I carry a tissue with me wherever I go and unless my nose feels 100% dry I will feel like it may as well be a waterfall. I even carry one when I go for nights out to clubs. I can't drink from a bottle or glass that somebody else has drank from. Even family, if my dad drinks from my glass, I'll either throw the drink away or let him have it all. The same goes with using forks/spoons that other people have taken a bite with. I also have a favourite spoon which I always use instead of the others. It's different from the rest of the spoons in the set but I can't remember where it comes from. I even brought it to university with me.
  8. Everybody knew the top players because they were unique. 99 in a skill didn't get you a cape and it actually was an achievement and rarity to see. Castle wars armour looked good Castle wars was a simple mini-game needing little to no preparation.
  9. Granted they did fire away from the shore but what did they think would happen after they fired on the north? Kim jong may be a mad man but he's not an idiot. He know that if he does start a war he will be crushed. North Korea regularly threatens the south when drills are planned. The training is not out of the ordinary - the north's response is. But how many drills acutally have the south fireing into water that the north views as its own? Granted it was not onto land but it was still in waters that the north has a claim on. If say, mexico, fired into the water off the coast of florida but not actually hit the land what would be the U.S's reply? Well they wouldn't fire at a Mexican military base that's for sure. There is zero justification for North Koreas retaliation.

    Am not.
  11. This can so nicely be compared to the real life situation with town high streets and supermarkets. The supermarkets take all the custom the small shops had because they are far quicker and easier to use. This then leaves the high street, or in this case the entire towns abandoned. People who used to use them think it is a waste, while newer people do not see the fuss.
  12. Yep the G.E ruined the economies of all the small towns. For example, Seers bank used to be a good place to buy fletching supplies and Catherby was a fairly good place to buy fish. It is also that many skills are now best trained out in the middle of nowhere as space has been used in the towns. Add onto this that many people now refuse to train any skill if it isn't in the most efficient place, which is rarely in towns.
  13. Beating Fable 2's Colosseum (from DLC) solo felt like a fairly big accomplishment too.
  14. It is very good, however please post this in the advertising sticky here: http://forum.tip.it/topic/11294-advertise-your-thing-here-all-posted-elsewhere-removed/
  15. Can't forget the time I managed to rack up over 150 extra lives on Serious Sam on the Xbox on hard difficulty.
  16. I found my save, here is my epic park: [spoiler=Large pictures] No cheats or anything, which is why it took 12 game years. And that scenario still isn't complete, I think I need another 3 coasters in there.
  17. 3000+ Cw tickets in runescape back when that was actually a lot. (it is a game afterall) My level 100 (or was it 99?) Charizard and Mewtwo in Pokemon yellow were pretty epic. The problem now is that all possible achievements actually have achievements tagged onto them in games, which makes them feel much less unique imo. I had an incredible park on Rollercoaster tycoon 2. It had 8 huge coasters, all over 1200m length and all worked fine. But it seems I have since lost the save file :(
  18. Is it really that unreasonable to think that updates usually come tuesday? or that we get a game content update at least every 2 weeks? It usually happens, so what's wrong with getting used to it. Just because some updates are on Tuesdays does not mean this one was. It just seems strange to me that you can be disappointed that something not confirmed for today didn't happen today. They have not said it would be out today, so it didn't come out today. I can't see the problem.
  19. There really is no way they can be counted as one country. They are poles apart in governing systems and basically everything. There is probably nowhere else in the world where two countries, so different are so close. The Republic of Ireland and the North of Ireland? The governing systems and cultures there are both very similar. The main difference is religion, but if you placed somebody from one into the other, they would be able to almost continue as normal.
  20. How can you be disappointed in something which you had no idea was happening? Jagex never said an update was coming today, so now that one isn't coming today, they get blasted? I do not get this community sometimes.
  21. There really is no way they can be counted as one country. They are poles apart in governing systems and basically everything. There is probably nowhere else in the world where two countries, so different are so close. North Korea really needs to be dealt with. They have pushed their luck for far too long now, and the tension they are causing in that area is too much. Especially with Kim jong Il's son taking over the country, we could definitely see some escalation of the troubles there very soon.
  22. Ownership is not needed to have something stolen off you. This one definitely comes down to morals as there is no real reason to steal a spot that isn't high in demand.
  23. A couple of weeks I think. Starts taking ages to level at around 20.
  24. Without you guys, I doubt any of us would be here.

All I can say is how can you afford a <31k car for your first car? I would suggest getting something cheap for around £1000 which you can run around in for a few years and learn to drive before going to something more powerful.
