  1. I don't think the levels matter one ounce on the maturity of the RSOF. I know no other games in which you need in-game achievements to use the forums. The problem is not the users but the staff and forum system. Impliment much more widespread moderating and report systems and the RSOF would be able to handle people of any levels. New players are the ones that need help the most and would utilize the forums, but currently they cannot. It is also not low level players that spam, those with levels spam just as much.
  2. Were some good entries in both competitions.
  3. I think the new update has just given everybody three free invites. I'm ranked 147th on the pantheon of taming, Sparky is at level 10.
  4. Not for much longer!
  5. Nah I don't really have any decent ideas.
  6. I doubt weapons and shields do due to degrading. At least they probably won't once used. Not sure on the rest.
  7. The RSOF just needs an overhaul of their moderation systems. It isn't who can access them but who cleans them up.

People buy music. Piracy does not stop the sales, the idea that people won't pay for something they can get for free is incorrect because I buy music and movies all the time and so do allot of other people. I have some doubts as to whether you even read my post. Otherwise you would know that I pay for media. A product or service is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. That is an absolute fact in business and people who ignore it are almost certain to go bust, sadly I see it happen far too often. The thing is, people are not willing to pay because the product is not as good, but because they can get it for free elsewhere. Without the piracy, the price would not come into question as they haven't exactly changed since pre-internet and piracy. However, because it can be gotten for free, it massively devalues the product. It is piracy making something seem to you that it is not worth it, not those making the product. Also, saying somebody will not buy something they can get to free is incorrect is itself, incorrect. Sorry but you cannot think you are right there? I can guarantee that many people pirate not because they can't afford things, not because they do not think it is worth it, but because it is easier and FREE to pirate. They may think about going down to a shop to buy a CD but then see that they can get it for free in 60 seconds. That person won't go and buy it.
  9. They don't use because they aren't trying to kill anything. They just freeze and try not be frozen. I mean really is dclaws with arma supposed to be trying? And I haven't played for that long? Ha keep dreaming. The difference between you and me is that your a stacker and I'm the castlewar pker. You hold the flag outside your castle. I kill you and the next person who picks it up where you died and any other person on the screen who thinks they don't deserve to die. You stack one side so you can win over and over. I stack cades on the stair side door of my respawn room so the stacked team isn't mine for long, so I can have some fun targets to hunt. You drop cades as you run away with the flag because you can't tank. I come to your castle and tank half your team while hunting robes. Jagex makes some simple updates for my emergent gaming. You quit. Funny how that works. Oh boy, sorry but now your argument is not applicable to this situation. You seem to simply be winging about people who can play the game better than you. See i just randomly play a castle wars game everynow and then to blow some burst runes for a little fun, i give no heed to the community side of it. That's fine, a lot of people do just play for random games every now and then. However, for a lot of people, castle wars was one of the only reasons they played this game. It is a very unique take on capture the flag with a lot of strategy and skill required to play it at the highest level. The communities which grew around it were the driving force behind so many clans and so many people playing the game. Worlds were still there for players to drop by and play games of all sizes, from the large mass games of world 6, to the smaller more challenging games on world 99. What Jagex did with themed castle wars worlds was to add something which already existed, while destroying what many people played for.
  10. I think the female clothes in the Mass effect games would look good for the picture.
  11. I think it says in the FAQ what a completed temple gives. I know it gives some fairly large bonuses.

Piracy is not theft. All the bandwidth in a bit-torrent swarm is supplied by other people sharing that file. Nothing is being stolen not even the bandwidth or CPU cycles required to share the file. Please do not resort to false analogies. Sharing is a natural part of our society, and I have yet to encounter a human lacking any generosity at all. If I want to share a movie off my computer then where is the harm, as I am simply reproducing a fresh copy that is then given to another person free of charge. Some day we may have the nano-technology to allow us to make perfect copies of tangible objects as well, and that will truly be a fantastic era for our society. People still buy DVDs and even my own DVD collection supports the rule A product or service is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. As for obtaining a free pair of shoes. If you are not willing to go to the store and instead are contempt with the free shoes from the hall way then there is nothing wrong with that. Just as there is nothing wrong with downloading a movie instead of going to the store to buy it. If you like the shoes/movie and decide you want to pay for it then you can still go to the store and buy them. I have purchased 147 DVDs of my favourite movies to date, these movies offered to me free of charge were worth something to me and so they where paid for at an agreed price. You seem to be unfamiliar with copyright which is plastered all over most media. In short, copies made for sharing or distribution are illegal. You can pander around on your non existent moral high ground all you like, but the fact is, it is illegal to willingly share copyrighted material without consent of those who created it. If you were to buy a CD, then create 500 copies all burnt to disks, then hand them out on the street to anybody that wanted them, you would be liable for arrest. That is exactly what is happening with torrenting. Those taking the copy are doing a crime if they know they are getting it for free (common sense) and the person distributing it would be committing a crime. This is exactly the same as online piracy except on a smaller scale. If you wan to own something, buy it, if not then you shouldn't own it. You totally missed my point with the shoes analogy. In our lazy 21st Century, if people can get something for free without moving, they will do it in a heartbeat over having to move and pay for the same thing. This does not meant the thing is not worth paying for, it just means that it is human behaviour to go for the easy option. Let me put it in an even more flamboyant example. If I was offered a free Ferrari on my doorstep, or to go pick it up from 1 mile away for £10, I would go for the free option. This does not mean it would not be worth the £10, as it is worth thousands more, it just means the easy option is what humans gravitate towards. Torrenting music for free over going to a shop and purchasing it is the easy option which people will go for.

Honestly Clifford, I will swap names with you (first names).
  14. The link doesn't seem to work.
  15. I did the same in my list. The day after I thought of 4 more games to add.
  16. Everyone else, of course. Mask's rage is building! Mask's attack rose! When is this "hit an anon day"? Are groin attacks restricted in any way? Can I get in trouble for doing so or is it not okay? Anon is genderless; which is to say that they're all unemployed males from the ages of 12 to 30, with a high probability of living in their parent's basement. Knocking these losers in the groin, in my opinion, is perfectly acceptable. Scratch that, I encourage it. I like getting paid for creating stuff. These freeloaders ... yeach. On their rally thing, only 12 people have voted to say they will go to the London rally. Not worth the effort, one security guard can handle all of them. Hell, even Cameron could handle them. Honestly, if they ever held a full protest with over 100 people, I would organise an opposing protest. Edit: When was Anon actually formed as a thing?
  17. I want to go to the real life events and punch a few people. Honestly, they are just targeting anybody who feels they shouldn't be able to get everything for free now. Spoiled little brats. As if they cannot already get enough for free. They disgust me and make me ashamed to be an internet user as we all seem to get lumped in with groups like this. What I do find funny is that they think they are having the desired effect. However, the outcome will more than likely be the opposite. These companies will become even more resilient and determined. Overall, words cannot describe how [developmentally delayed]ed these guys are at this point. Edit: Hit an Anon day?
  18. This thread already exists here http://forum.tip.it/topic/102652-the-first-thing-that-comes-to-mind-game/ Locking this as there is no need two of the same thing.

I disagree. That concept goes out the window as soon as you are able to get said item for free. for example, If I could walk into my hallway and get a free pair of shoes I would. This would then stop me needing to buy them in a store. This doesn't mean that they would not be worth it in the store, it simply means I can get them for free for no effort. We cannot say at all whether removing piracy completely would boost or decrease record sales. Everything would be guesswork as human behaviour is very hard to predict. Often it is not only the price which is the deciding factor. Things such as effort needed to go and buy something where downloading illegally can be more simple for example. As I say, nobody is going to turn down free things, but that does not mean the original product would not be worth buying.
  20. 01:08 Shamefully died by the hand of the Tropical Yeti. 01:08 I easily avoided Tropical Yeti's blow, but was then struck down by lightning. Almighty One, can you please find a better time for punishment? Oops. Lucky It was my last punish so didn't cost me any godpower.
  21. I can't answer the rest, but I would try Microsoft security essentials instead of AVG.

Exactly, make the name fit you. I knew a guy at school called 'Fred' A very unique name nowadays, but he made it fit him. Be happy you don't have a generic name which you know about 10 others with the same name.

I say go for it. I very well might do this as well, considering that my name is Andrew Clifton Cox. I mean, really. My last name is male genitalia, and my middle name is Clifton. I can see where you're coming from. Strange, Clifton is a place name. I Actually think Clifford sounds pretty cool. It's a memorable name, which can come in handy later in life. I would suggest against it. I sometimes think changing my surname would be good, as it is said differently to how it is spelt, which makes a lot of people think I'm saying Dan Alison when in fact it is something totally different, just said roughly the same. But then I remember that a Surname is a very important thing to me. It is my link to my family and my roots.
  24. Hh then you have probably seen all the pro clans that are currently out there. As I say, the Cw clan world is shrinking. A few years back there were at least 10 clans on the go at once, but now I only really know of around 4. The only thing I can suggest is to frequent the themed worlds and try to impress others, but it may be a fruitless task.
  25. It depends, are you looking for a down to earth clan for beginners or a pro clan? The CW clan community is in mass decline. They are very thin on the ground, and the few that are out there usually require you to have been in a few previously or be incredibly good. Which is actually killing the clan world faster. Because of Themed worlds, smaller communities cannot form on the smaller worlds which used to evolve into clans. If you wish, I can PM you a site which has the last few surviving CW clans active on it.
