  1. The person who came up with the reverse caption idea and those captions must be a real genius! Good luck to anybody entering, I hope you come up with some entertaining pictures.
  2. Yeah I find it best to use encourage/punish as soon as my hero gets around 3k. My hero seems to have fairly bad gear for his level now, everything is still around the +15-18 mark while all my duels people have around +21
  3. Its called emergent gameplay. I doubt jagex intended the yak to be used as a tool to make overloads faster (especially convenient when boosting the level). Or for conquest/MA to be boosted. Or any other instance in which the player thinks of a way to, within the rules, use something "outside the box". Simple as that. And the point is more that Jagex seems to know SO little about how their players play the game, then anything else. I have NO doubt that, even with the same gear, I could outkill any J-mod at TD's, or DKS. An example of a real bug that needs fixing is continuing to get the 10 second countdown after you die in PvP, and having it closeout your bank, or the numerous cores @ corp in FFA, or not being able to type into your note section when in combat. Have you sent bug reports about them?
  4. So the KBD Lair is supposed to be a schoolyard playground, then? IMO the KBD should be f2p, but that aside, I agree with Dangazmlp that revs are too weak to pose a threat at higher levels. Mainly, their max hit isn't up to par. Whether you like this or not, is another isse. My point is that very few enemies are going to pose a serious threat to high-level players anyway. But this isn't about what things currently can do, it's about what we would like things to do. Would you want a more dangerous wilderness?
  5. But the wilderness is supposed to be a wild and dangerous area in Runescape lore.
  6. True, that could be the reason. I wonder what will happen at higher ranks. I have heard of a cardinal rank.
  7. It's not about the bug, rather jagex not being aware of it. It's their game, afterall. Don't they even bother to read the forums or anything? Well they know now do they not? I personally did not know of it, granted I have not played the game in a while, but I read forums often. Maybe Jagex had not trained prayer with a BoB or had not found out about it while playing themselves? Is it often discussed at prayer training locations? Know what? That alot of people abused a bug for years that they never knew about? wow, that's great. Jagex should be on the top of things, and as this method has been discussed alot(and is even included in some guides, etc) it's pitiful that they should say that they never knew about it. Do you know how large this game is? Do you know how many Mods actually work on the code for the game and who could notice this? Admittedly, many Mods may play the game, but we can guess now that either very few of them have trained prayer recently or they just did not know of the method while they trained. If it had been reported as a bug, using the system Jagex want us to use, and then not been changed then I would be disappointed, but ranting because they did not find it themselves right away is absurd. If you gathered a couple of hundred random players, you would have a chance of them not knowing about it.
  8. 20:16 Laid down under a tree to die from heavy wounds. Came back to my senses to find Sparky performing CPR on me. I Love you sparky! 20:36 Doctors became flustered when they saw my guild rank and treated me in no time. First time I have seen that, we must be gaining influence in Godville.

  10. Please let me all remind you of something very vital here: Personal attacks are not welcome at any point. I am not saying they have happened, but I can see where this is going so I am saying this so I don't have to later. If you want to discuss the content of the article in a constructive manner you are very welcome to, but attacks against the authors are not welcome. Remember that the authors will not improve their writing if they see you as doing nothing but flame. Constructive criticism can help improve future articles.
  11. I don't get the above rant. It was never meant to be able to happen and should have cancelled out the actions being taken by the player.
  12. I greatly disagree. If you go into the wilderness now, your chance of first being found by a revenenant is fairly low, add that on to them being very unbalanced at higher levels means that your chance of death, assuming you have at least done minimal preparation is very low. Renenants at the moment for higher level players are nothing more than an annoyance, compare that to pkers who were out to do nothing short of kill you as fast as possible, you have a huge difference. For lower level players and free to play, revenents are actually quite strong, using all three combat styles and hitting fairly high for their level, making them a challenge. But once you hit higher levels, they are severely inadequet for their job. They are lacking firepower and attack much to slowly. Add onto this the fact there are so many more places now to hide and safe from them with all the clutter in the current wilderness. I would be happy to carry a couple of million GP through the wilderness now, I would never do that with pkers. Before you had two choices when attacked, run south out of the wilderness, or run north to mages bank. You can now run to stealing creation, bounty hunter, clan wars, various teleport areas, corporeal beast etc. The general gist is that it is no longer dangerous or wild.
  13. Totally agree.
  14. How about if instead of making reverents stronger, they just added a lot more of them? It would make multiway areas much more dangerous, but still make single way slightly more dangerous. It would stop the wilderness becoming too much of a no-go for F2P while keeping the difficulty up. I do agree with removing the areas and buildings which have no need to be in the wilderness. Karamja jungle feels more of a wilderness now, the wilderness just feels too settled and peaceful.
  15. Great list. I like how you included some flash games in there too. Oh, but AOE 3 <_< It was a good game except the rail-road.
  16. What people forget is that it may be x in one area, but it will be y in another. Here in the UK, the life expectancy changes dramatically from for example, the south coast to inner city Manchester in the north. Then place that next to the US which is about 10 times the size, with about 10 times the population. It would be much more effective if you were to compare states than comparing the Us as a whole, as it cannot give any sort of accurate reading of how it actually is on the ground.
  17. http://forum.tip.it/topic/278738-12-oct-2010-charm-sprite-hunting/ He was first unfortunately. Locking this one.
  18. C-c-c-c-c-ombo Breaker! But seriously, if you have nothing to add to the discussion, don't post. Pointless quote chains will be removed and actions may be taken.
  19. I didn't manage to see Lee Mckenzie's presenting. Couldn't watch it yesterday so I spent all that day and today making sure I didn't hear the result. I player only had the race, none of the pre-race coverage unfortunately. Such a shame about Kubica, he really had a good chance. He really could have shown what he is made off if his wheel didn't fall off. honestly, it happens to Rosberg too, you can half expect it after a pit stop, but the two were both after a fair amount of laps. Both incredibly unlucky, but Kubica will be back! Koboyashi really is fun to watch, he really went Banzai on those passing moves. I think the Mclarens now need a miracle to win the championship. They are both more than a win away from Webber, meaning they need him to basically not finish or have a terrible race for all the rest. I honestly cannot see it happen.
  20. asynchronized swimming transp., level 7 fanned fingers combat, level 6 golden vein trade, level 1 One of each type of skill now.
  21. My hero has a pet firefox now too! He's called sparky. It seems only a select few enemies can be caught, but I guess the ones you find will change as you level up.
  22. Ouch, do you think you will get up to watch tomorrows quali and the race too? Probably better to go to bed now or to not go to bed at all. Was quite disappointed for quali to be cancelled, but It was obviously too much for the cars to drive in. I have never seen that happen before. Points of interest: Will drivers have the stamina to do qualifying and then racing a couple of hours later? Pretty fun watching the presenters have to fill the gap of the program. I bet the woman presenting the BBC coverage for the first time (forgot her name) was wishing she had stuck to the interviews and small pieces instead of the full presenting. Also funny watching how the drivers and staff bide their time, they really were at ends as to what to do. I want to see a video of the story Martin Brundel said with him spinning out in a race and hitting a marshal so hard his bone came out of his leg.
  23. If you guys have nothing good to say, don't say anything.
  24. I think basically, Being good is for PvM, and evil is for PvP. "Smite "x"" sems to work well in duels for me.
  25. Merged these two threads. No need for two in two different places.
