Four Lokos
The same could happen with very strong energy drinks too. It really just a case of being stupid enough to do stupid things with drinks like these. Drinking them responsibly is fine.

Four Lokos
That's what I was wondering.

Looking for a New Game? Ask Here!
I'm looking for some Pc games I can play without a mouse. I only have my laptop but I left my mouse at home. I don't like using the touchpad for gaming. Preferably something with rpg/strategy elements and something that isn't too new so I can pick it up for cheap. I'm thinking maybe sid meiers pirates! but if there are any other good games I'd love to hear suggestions.

When you lose fights in the arena or die, your weapons and armour can rust and lose stats. They can probably rust in other ways too.

Future Update Discussions
I trump that with skilling. I don't mind holiday events, but Deaths house is starting to get a little boring.

Looks like you lost a skirmish.

Mcdonalds burgers
Apparently they are dried. I wonder if the same result would happen with other plain burgers, plain buns?

This Rule Makes No Sense, Honestly
Allowing foreign text altogether with no translation is not an option as far as I know. Many languages change when translated artificially which makes moderating incredibly difficult for the staff as we cannot possibly understand all languages. This leaves disallowing them altogether. That would as far as I see, not benefit other users one bit.

Mcdonalds burgers
Pretty cool. But still, they taste nice so responsible eating of them is fine to me.

This Rule Makes No Sense, Honestly
And the positives that will come from changing it will be getting rid of the redundancy. But how does that help the users of the forum?

Two New Global Moderators!
Congratulations!

This Rule Makes No Sense, Honestly
At this point I have to ask, what positives would come from changing the rule out of its current form? The positives of having the rule there are a good compromise between all and nothing.

I think of them as mini-RPG's Basically instead of spending a year on a character, you spend an hour on it, then go onto another one in a different world almost.

This Rule Makes No Sense, Honestly
Oh ok, so I'll post whatever I want on these boards and hope no one ever reads it. Good plan  Yes, it took a while to verify the multiple reports we received about it, from multiple people who understood it and were offended. to number 1.) Didn't say that. If you couldn't understand it the first time, you won't if I explained it again. Not to mention you ignored this part It was conditional, and theoretical. to number 2.) According to the info Racheya posted, it took a while to verify it. If there were so many reports, it should have been handled quickly. Either that or the mods just didn't get to it in time. Do you not expect us to imagine what would happen if we made changes to rules? Honestly, I mean no offence but you do not know the systems which work behind the scenes and how the criteria the admins go through when changing a rule (Even I don't fully know) so you cannot make an informed argument on any of the points which you are trying to argue. It has been explained numerous times on this thread why the rule is as it is, why it is the best of both worlds and that it took a fair amount of time for the staff to come up with the rule in its current form. You are now either arguing for the sake of an argument, or you have lost the point that you are arguing for.

You will get one eventually, don't worry. It will probably be a firefox or rocky raccoon though. I'm not sure how to get better pets, whether you need a low level one first, then when it dies you get a better sort of one, or maybe you have more chance of a rarer one as you level. ELITES are back on the up in the rankings. We are following Fairy Tail back up to the top.

Should the Internet remain anonymous?
On the whole, it would lessen the crime, but it would also on the whole make things feel much safer for those who do not know how to protect them selves as well as they could. It could also increase the chances of big business' embracing the internet as much more than an additional tool, bringing it much more into the mainstream as a way of doing business. One good example I said before which came to me would be online emergency services. Currently, they would probably get too many fake emergencies to be anywhere near effective. However, if you were to be able to see names, people would be much less likely to prank these emergency services allowing for a new way of finding help to open up. Also Pirate, the problem is, it is almost an all or nothing scenario. If only a few people do it, there are enough trolls and the like out there willing to ruin it. If everybody including them had to give their name, then it may not happen.

Should the Internet remain anonymous?
Your argument is so idealistic I can't really counter it properly, I'll admit. But no matter how much we talk, they government can never win. You can hack through Chinas wall; they only block the gate of the internet not the internet itself. A US law to require all websites to require Real ID registration can be avoided by setting up a server in Mexico. Seriously though, how could such a thing happen? I do like to think of how I would like things to be in a perfect world and then think backwards from there. With international and mass online attention, maybe even something coming to the attention of the UN, Real ID could be used worldwide for any website set up. All servers worldwide would need to comply to this, but apart from needing to be named, they would not need anything else. There would still be black-holes and anomalies, pockets of illegal activities and servers, however they would pale in comparison to the safe internet everybody would be able to enjoy. Without anonymity, (this is thinking way into the future) we could have fully integrated media and internet etc. Imagine walking through your front door, walking up to a screen, having a biometric scan of some sort then having full access to anything on the internet (as long as you have the correct level of access). No more passwords for everything, no more old guys pretending to be little girls, being able to instantly shop on the internet with integrated banking. The possibilities are almost endless, but it all requires people to put a little bit of faith in authority and relinquishing anonymity.

Should the Internet remain anonymous?
Nobody would own the internet if we were to stop anonymity either though. Individual countries would be responsible for keeping their own users inside their own laws on the internet, apart from that, state control would almost cease. As currently we do have censorship on the internet, for example in china, where you could say they do almost own their section of the internet. However, instead of people being able to bypass this censorship and partake in illegal activities, they would be noted down by whichever country they are from and prosecuted accordingly.
-
Should the Internet remain anonymous?
the police of whichever country a person is from. I am not talking about censorship, but I am talking about people doing illegal actions online. Different from what you may think, the police are not evil overlords bent on making us all slaves. The police are there to protect people. Just as a policeman walks down the street, a countries online police would handle reports made of a certain persons illegal internet activities. No illegal activities? No worry. Also, you say the internet is unbiased and unpolitical? I beg to differ. The internet is very anti government, anti authoritarian and in certain places anarchist. On the whole, across the majority of message boards on the internet, I would place bets that you will find the internet very biased if you take a step back and look. the world needs authority, like it or not, it is the driving force of human civilisation.

Should the Internet remain anonymous?
The above examples however should not count, because only a few people gave up their names. The people doing the bad things remained anonymous. If they had their names published, would they still go ahead with what they do? It would be a massive change in how the internet and the world works, but I for one would welcome it. It could possibly lead to a whole new age of internet prosperity. If nobody had to be scared of the internet, think of all the new information we could get a hold of, all of the new people that could potentially use it. With no anonymity, we could get so many new things working on the internet. Online emergency services for example. It would also allow the proper authorities to correctly police the internet. This could even curb terrorism/random attacks. Imagine if somebody is looking at weapons, military tactics, bomb plans for example, police could actively know who they are and question them as to why they are using it. So called 'human rights' have held humanity back in the last half century, unfortunately they only seem to be expanding not contracting which will not help us move forward at all.

DOTA 2 1 million dollar tournament announced
Definitely something I will try when it comes around. One of the bigger problems I have had playing these sorts of games has been that I suck at them. But there is usually almost no learning curve, you just hit a brick wall at the start. I did play a game along the same lines a few years back called Light and Darkness until it got canned, was very fun.
