  1. Thats just a sexy rank right ther! Keep up the great work
  2. They all start to look like each other those millions eh? Getting awfully close to 100m now! Keep it up
  3. Always use the highest bone possible (Frost dragon bone at this point). Saves you money in the long run ;)
  4. if you want to melee them, super pots + leaf bladed spear is the way to go. But I do suggest just fire bolting with chaos gauntlets. Slayer dart isn't a bad spell either, a little more costly but very efficient much alike. In my opinion --> Magic > Melee > Ranged. Get a hexcrest and turn your slayer helmet into a full slayer helmet. They aren't that expensive and well worth it :) Bring a BoB and only a few anti fire potions to bank those 50 dragon bones + charms/good drops. Pays for the runes
  5. If you recorded what their max hit was, because the hits are equally distributed across 0 to the max hit, you would multiply their number of 0s by (maxhit - 1)/maxhit. That would mean you assume normal distribution among 0 - max hit. How sure can we be about that? P(Maxhit) = P(Hit=0) or not? Before the constitution update, you couldn't be sure of that, since 451 would be equal to 450 (or 460 if it rounded upwards). Who says the damage isn't calculated in a way like 451.3 now? I don't think you can get the exact failed damage from maxhit-1 / maxhit due to this. It would give you a good estimate though.
  6. There will always be players not having the gear at hand at that moment. I think you can focus better on high end normal pots (Super Restores / Brews) to go up a fair bit. Rocktails might win some ground, but would be marginal. But if you really want to make the moneys, I'd say, supplies for extremes could rise the most, which is convenient as they are dropping at the moment aren't they? (Double check that?). A lot of people that do hunt for them elite clues realize.. hey I need more pots. Also high end pouches/scrolls might win some. Think Yak, pony's and perhaps even Titans. Those are the things I'd aim for!
  7. Really interesting in seeing how this will work out. Some of the pictures are a bit messy, but that is no problem. As for the gear you use, it might be wise to tell people that offensive is what counts. (Rune defender / zamarok book / Neitz / Fighter torso.. anything that adds to damage per second) Really interested in how big you're planning on making this :D
  8. Time for me to reply I think. First off, I am able to make well up the scale of 750k per hour. I know the methods, I know the info and from what I don't know, I know where to find it. At some point (around level 105 at the time) I figured, hey swamp paste = worth Moneyz! So I went to these cute cave slimes. I brought some anti poisons. Brought my void, started to kill them. After 15 minutes I pricechecked and found out, they aren't worth doing. They have low health, they hardly hit but when they hit, you get a nasty poison! I often kill them faster then they spawn (Omg I'm that fast?) That might not be done by lower levels, but it shows that at combat 105, I maxed the speed of moneymaking there. I made about what you said, 150k per hour there (on average from a few short 15 minute tests, like 3-4) This was before the iron boots being 22k, which I didn't get their strangely enough. Also at some point, I tried Flesh Crawlers. Nice, decent and fairly easy to bank with fairy rings, but still didn't do it for me. The quality herb is quite low actually and also the nasty poison is annoying as hell. Both of these monsters aren't great training in terms of exp/h. Also they are nice money, but nothing to great. Flesh Crawlers would be more gold/h then I'd say. Still, it is far from great. Even quite annoying in a way. (So far my analysis of how I tried these monsters and experienced them) The original poster claimed he compared Slimes to Crawlers. That is all good, but as much as you like it, you discard all alternatives with this comparison. Job A gets you 4$ per hour, Job B gets you 5$ per hour and is also a bit more fun. Then Job B might be better right? Shameless to say, you forgot about Job C that pays 10$ and is just as much fun! (Comparisons are great, but don't compare to a single thing, compare to 'the entire game'.) Someone your level CAN make a lot more. The method you found might be nice, but there are more efficient methods. Also, in long term concept you will be better of training slayer. On a final note: Men are slightly worse experience per hour then slimes/crawlers I think, but they are more money per hour consistently. in Edgeville I've been able to get upwards 200k-250k per hour consistently while hunting for clues (not counting time to finish clues, nor counting clue rewards). Test whatever you want ;) there are more experienced people on the forums. They don't want to burn you, they just hate it when people use bad reasoning. (See above) - Rambling mode off - Good luck on finding more methods. There are also great guides written and made by other players which have very entertaining methods about training etc. Feel free to post more info like this on the forums, just make sure you double checked it and reason it well ;) Know what you say!
  9. Hmm, herbs might just drop a little now. The added spawn is great and way better then the excisting 2 spots (Ardougne and the normal Edgeville spot). Ranarrs are also crashing because people consider that the boost in herblore (Blue dragonscale spawns / Limpwurt spawns / New herb room) supplies causes all gp/exp for herblore to drop. Including prayer pots. Also prayer is less and less needed ;) We gettin different potions for that. Super restores / Super prayer I don't know what. New prayer gear coming up ? Anyway: Prices will drop by about 20% from existing. I don't see them drop any further. If they do go down further, respect towards Jagex for correcting that dramatically. As for the other resources: I wonder how good bots are at training dungeoneering. Some things can't be done. Most of these spots will be untouched by bots I think. I really do think :D At least for now. On a sidenote: Would 1 room combined with winter storage scrolls be worth it for higher members? Take down 12 of those guys, pick up all herbs / spawns. Fill pack-yak, winter storage when possible. When full get to the bank and go back. I'd see this going way up high in the money making scenery I think? (Or am I just thinking to much here?)
  10. In almost all cases except those named above, any other familiar would be better. Unicorns are an overkill and mostly used for monsters that DO eat food. I'd say, when in doubt, go bunyip. If you can't suffice with a very little bit of food and/or spec weapon, then and only then a unicorn would be nice ;) But almost all monsters are to easy with current gear / pots etc. and don't forget prayer. Just try and save those scrolls/pouches for bosses.
  11. A few pointers I think are worth adding: 1) The Gem bag gotten by Dungeoneering is a useful way to keep gems in (200 in 1 inventory slot). Prevents the waste of room. 2) An enhanced excalibur is a great way to keep your health/defence up all the time. Worth taking as a special weapon. 3) Combat potions are a cheap and great way to speed up your killing. Supersets are also worth taking, but if you find these to expensive, combat potions are the way to go :D 4) Bunyip familiar is a great way for people with low defence to keep their health up. Also it might be worth bringing a magpie or 2. They yield a nice amount of jewelry while you kill the warriors. Extra cash per hour! A nice guide and indeed an overlooked monster. Great for mid-levels to train on.
  12. Mining them is always worth it I'd say. The profits are just to great to be ignored. You could even consider mining them and re-invest those earnings into extra prayer to boost your damage? Then a prayer-based offensive outfit would top?
  13. First things first: I found that using whip/defender is still THE most efficient weapon combination to use here. They are the best weapon for this monster. The Z Spear is in no way faster, nor is the godsword. Their low defence, which is true and you point out also mean that any 'weakness' can be neglected. The only thing better would be the Chaotic rapier (and the chaotic longsword) combined with a rune defender of course. Shields are overkill here in all ways and should never be used. Guthan should never be used either, only as basic armour perhaps. The 1 thing I would recommend: Verac skirt with perhaps torso if ones defence is high enough. Verac skirt + brassy if ones defence doesn't sustain. Use berserker curse + super/extremes to just lengthen your prayer and to max. benefit from the potions. EE / SGS + Bunyip should always suffice. If it doesn't, you just need more defence or just go AZ's anyway.
  14. You receive 31 experience for high alchemy. Also per coin you get 2 experience. If you manage to do 30 point casts every time, the occasional free alch and the occasional mistake, your getting about 60-70 experience per cast from my own experience. Also some of the experience is free. The experience isn't as fast as you would have had normally, but it is quite enjoyable. What I personally did was create an outfit that could work in 2-3 rooms and just vary around the rooms. First of start with the Bones to Banana / Peaches room. From max health + a few food items (bring 2-3 monkfish) to low health gives quite a nice amount of points. Then I would do a serie of teleport rooms 2x 5 mazes. Followed by the Alchemy room ;) Enchantment room can be done later and is some seriously good experience, especially ones you unlock Enchant Onyx!! If you just mix in all rooms ;) You eventually even make a profit if you just go for some infinity gear. It is quite easy to calculate what you will profit the most on. I believe there is even a guide about it in the AoW section. Perhaps try and have a look for it. Great that you invented the mage training arena for yourself. I know I had a blast there to train magic and make a nice buck ;D
  15. If you knew the WoW system, you'd know that your real life information is something very important to your account. If you ever want to recover your account or there is something wrong, they require a copy of your ID. This is to ensure they are dealing with the original user. So yes, you could go with a false name, but that could potentially hurt you in the future. Other then that, I find it a good thing that real life identities are used. There is no need to flame or insult other people. If you want to discuss you could just do it like you would in real life. Also even when they know your name, you want to know how many David D Davidson's there are? (as an example). The odds that he is within reach of you and he is indeed the person you wanted to reach is minimum. WoW also has the tendency to guard private information EXCELLENT! They are most likely the most successful in this matter. They got my support!
  16. [hide] Thanks a ton. I added a bunch of your suggestions to my guide. :^_^: However, Amulet of Ranging *is* better than the fury by 5 range attack bonus. I mentioned Tav dungeon and my reason for not including a guide on ranging them. Everything else was really helpful though. Thanks  [/hide] You are absolutely right on the amulet of ranging. My bad there. Also, I do think you should mention the use of Beasts of Burden to increase the length per trip. Also another option could be Duel ring to Castle Wars, a great option to bank as well. Seeing the ring slot is often open, the teleport is cheap and doesn't take inventory. The food is usually overkill. If you even get hit at all, the occasional food drop from the dragons themselves suffice or you could fill up your health at the bank with salmon/tuna/trouts. Loving this guide so far :) Getting nice and viable.
  17. Just because it is crowded doesn't differ from the fact that Chins, when you are able to get a spot, is the best experience there is. It might not be worth it for you, but for many it does ;)

    What To Do

Get your ass to Holland and live liberated here. We got plenty of room and space for people like you who just have their businesses worked out. Really harsh situation with your parents there. Just not right.
  19. A few pointers: Best ammo is of course the Broad bolt. You should insert armadyl in the flow chart as well since it is great armour and not impossible for one to achieve. Even the richer fews might use this. There are blue dragons in Taverley Dungeon to, include them I'd say. Heck perhaps even compare them (that would be something new) Void is probably the best at around 85 ranged or higher. Include BoB familiars. Perhaps take both the shield AND an unholy book to switch back and forth. Some might like this. Fury > Amulet of Ranging Many of the imbued rings from MA are better then the ring of wealth / RoL. Perhaps name it. Include the route via your house if you have it in Yanille. Also even possible to bank with your servant! The Ardougne Diaries also places your Watchtower teleport to inside the city and pretty darn close to the bank! Ah well ;) My rambling. Some good stuff in here, yet nothing really adds 'the wow factor'. It can grow into something good though :)
  20. I also found that ranging is way more efficient. I love your tip about the curry and brews though. If you range, you take out her second spell effect. Ranged does huge damage on the ele and doesn't require you to move. This will allow full damage and max. benefit from your armour. This combined with a proper familiar is sweet. Also on a quick note, it might be useful to bring a ring of life for the sake of safety from renevants. But also a Forinthry bracer (diamond bracer enchanted) could be useful. Just take this one in your inventory. It will allow you to escape via teleport instead of waiting for the effects to wear off. On a quick side-note, you could always try a PvP world, though just as dangerous. This guide has potential :D
  21. Like others stated in the thread you made, stop price manipulating the whole sherade. Little will change, 3rd age will remain rare. There will be plenty of USELESS rewards to fill those 100% item trails.. Also, new 3rd age sets coming. Perhaps.. I don't expect any change to the gear other then a little drop due to more items being available. It is still the rarest gear in the game. Any guesses what affect all those new items can have on the street value of specific items?
  22. Well, an epic quest + Dungeoneering changes + TT changes, basically all that I ever wanted, shame I quit ;) Your forgiven for the boots thingie if you manage to ace these things! If not.. why do I care :P I quit anyway!
  23. Game Updates Dungeoneering Skill! 12-Apr-2010 The drop occured a week after Dungeoneering, which doesn't come as a coincidence to me. With people (especially higher levels) leveling dungeoneering (then getting to the bank, sell stuff they won't need, like food) they also stopped using food, the are the biggest users, all active members. With a large number of members just using less food, that cut in. Of course this effect was short-termed, but it had its effect. Overloads became more common as they do every day. The herblore levels are a real goal nowadays. Same goes with Soulsplit on the prayer book. Every day these become more attainable, due to time/money, food becomes obsolete. This combined with the obvious Summoning --> If you have lots of gold, these are the things they are put in. More gold due to inflation being rather harsh the last period of time, more people getting these things, less food being used. Summer-effect of course, when raw materials are gathered due to people having more time. At September, these raw products will rise again. This occurs every summer. The Brew + eat one, hardly should have had effect. Only a shock-effect for thematter, since it got changed back. Only affected sharks / cavefish / rocktail. Oil Spill (duhhh) The F2P change that allows easier access for bots. Also more people actively fishing now (especially in F2P), thus lower prices. Fishy Fingers! The D&D that gave a nice burst to P2P fishing. ________________________________________________________________________________+ Add those up and you get these prices.
