  1. Well prices rose due to inflation a tad. But heck, we have SGS / EE / Summoning thingies. PvP tends to be more around brews and less about food nowadays. Cheaper fishes get fished more (Tuna / lob / swordfish) due to F2P notable. Also monkfish / sharks are hardly used now cavefish / rocktail is more used. All overpriced for their use nowadays. So ye, its dropping. Not that I mind, I usually last a month on 500 monkfish. No other fish / food required.

They scored and deserve the 2-2. Best match I've ever seen so far
  3. Well, if we manage to find the accuracy formula on other people using set defense values, then we might be able to backtrack through a plain and simple DPS test on mobs their defence level. Formula gives a DPS / defence value --> We measure DPS by.. doing 1000 hits on a monster, having a fixed weapon speed and bonus. Then you can easily calculate the approximate defence level. Still a shame Jagex doesn't give more feedback and we aren't able to use nice addons like WoW has them. That would make life so much easier haha.
  4. Government pays for my degree ;) as for Mod Emilee's post, it hardly made more sense. They used reasons that are used by people to fool the low-edicated ones. Worst argument was of course was: This post basically states that if we really want people, we can cause mass inflation. Yes, we know that. But the thing is, you, as game designer, want a stable economy. If you insert an update like the Grand Exchange which acts as a complete copy of the Stock Market, then yes, you want the same balanced situation as on the stock market. I know there comes a lot of money in the economy, but thing is, there is a balance! Money comes in, money goes out on a daily base. This is normal, this is called NORMAL inflation. What happened here was a pretty massive amount of money that went to certain groups. 44% of all members got 45k - 2.25m for free. 1% of the members got 2.25m+ for free. There is nothing normal about this inflation and can simply not be justified. What happened here, a minority got a huge boost. All trust and stability that was build over the past months since the EXP BONUS weekend has yet again been removed. This update occurred because the GE wasn't the solution to solve THIS problem. Instead of fixing the GE, they ''fixed'' this single problem. What happens now is a very unstable market. A huge inflation correction in place and panic. I do believe Jagex knows more about their economy then I do, but anyone with any knowledge about economy knows this should never have been done. The trust and stability was worth way more then this fix. They should have found other solutions. Many of which already have been shown by others in this post alone. Other then trust, lots of people got rich over a single update, having done nothing. This creates an image of unfairness towards the other 99% many of whom actually grind things they enjoy less, so they can do the things they enjoy most! On a last note, you state they get cheap protection without paying for it. Yes, that is the whole thing about it. They want that slot filled, but don't want a high-priced item there... Duhh That is what the quest reward is for! Yet another quest reward nerfed basically. Don't think that if the cheapest alternative would be 100k, that people will actually be using it a lot! I'll thank the government for paying my Degree, it has done me more good then it has done you ;)
  5. He got forumbanned for making a youtube movie. Now it gets muffled. Pretty pathetic on part of Jagex. Breaking their own rules to. Small riot on the subject at the moment I believe. O well, 5,95 per month right?
  6. There wasn't a good reason. Thats the reason. We just don't know what they were thinking. I also heard there were riots going on about some player being banned for making 2 youtube video's showing his discontent. They made a mistake here. What we think of that mistake, you may decide that for yourself. But fact remains, there is no justified reason it happened.

If 20 construction takes you more then 15 minutes ;) Your doing it wrong. Either way, ask yourself why it isn't 50 yet ;) one of the most useful skills once you have it.
  8. I real good investment would ofcourse be 250.000.000 NEEDLES! Good ol' necro , cheers to above poster
  9. loled For some reason this is most likely indeed to be considered stupid hehe. For myself, I haven't done much. Having had several rares in the past but not holding on to them is harsh. Once finally gotten aproximately 15m (in the time Guthan was still 10m per set) so I could finally go hybrid at DK's (I was way to low level). A high level took me wtth him, I obviously died and he took my stuff and went offline. I had that coming cause I stole the cash from one of my friends (a confession!) so uhm.. ye stealing was probally the stupidest thing I've done. Dieing within 24 hours was the 2nd thing. (No you cannot flame me for this, I regret doing it)
  10. You missed the most obvious of them all. DIFFERENT TRAINING METHODS! Skilling sure does burn you. Example is smithing. If you want to train smithing but get bored doing Blast Furnace, vary it with Stealing Creations / cannonball smithing / superheating / making items with bars you buy instead of making them yourselve. Heck ,mine some if you want. Every skill has more then 1 way to get you levels. Focus on variation inside a skill Imo, this guide has minimal useful information other then saying.. don't burn yourself
  11. You will be cut off at the point of 30k. So then 14k exp would be 'lost'. The max is 30k, doesn't matter in what bunch you get it.
  12. Or just seperate the cap for different skills. 30k PER skill and seperate for effies. That means you can unlock a complete effigy and get full exp for each skill. But won't benefit from assisting in 5 RC' effigies on a single day. O well ;) still it is nice to get a bonus every day or so
  13. There appears not to be any. All rewards are experience. 4x a set amount of experience, the dragonkin lamp based on level (final reward for whoever actually received the effigy, also received if helped by assisted)
  14. The Disk of Returning is the cheapest discontinued item which costs 86.9m, followed by the pumpkin worth 101m. Then there is also the streetprice, which is far far higher for both items. EDIT: I took min. prices! So the actual prices are far higher ;) You won't buy them for Max in GE. Even millions higher. So with 49m ;) You won't get to far. http://services.runescape.com/m=itemdb_rs/top100.ws?list=1&scale=0 List with most expensive items. The top of most expensive items under 49m: 3rd age full helmet 3rd age ranged legs Dragon visage / Dragonfire shield Dragon claws Dragon full helmet ;) Good luck
  15. Try Muddy Key if you want to have fun ;) I believe the guide-guy (with his 100 money making methods I don't know what) has investigated it. Quite good money as well!
  16. Question is: .. Is it worth it to find a high level that can assist you in finishing off the effigie and giving you the lamp? If the reward is like 25k in any skill, then with half an hours work, it could still be well worth it to find someone! Also: Could it be that high levels will lend items to lower levels if they let them assist on the effigie. ;) It is some solid experience for a minute worth of time. Something more then 1 person is willing to 'pay' for. Lending Arma GS 12 hours for 1 effigie?! (example)
  17. Free magic experience to anyone who buys clay and sells soft clay now! Curious about what the monkey may sell. There isn't any good reason to place a d scim shop there.. Also, a bit of bonus experience for no effort at all is sweet :) Need I remember you, getting a few RC effies to assist = GREAT EXPERIENCE! Saves you a few hours of training. Same goes for slayer or any other skill. It is free experience and getting up to 80k free experience is great. I wonder what the rewards on the side will be. I can only think of supplies. Always nice.
  18. By all answers, this one is most useful. Firemaking is indeed a fast skill. If you have Firemaking Brawlers, you can always do this for a neat 1.2m experience. I noticed you will play BA, which is a great plan. You can even do some burning / more games / burning and then burn your whole Penance Horn in 1 go once it's full. That will get you pretty close to 85+. Firemaking 92 is great and not TO hard to get if you want it. If you ever Runecraft with the abyss, the adze is lovely. Doing mining, the adze! Doing woodcutting, the adze!
  19. You'll be forced into Green leather or perhaps even some cheap item. There isn't much bulk item in F2P that can be alched more efficiently. So good luck on that ;) Count at least 4-5gp/exp in F2P.
  20. Just to focus on the DK problem: I did it at 75 defence, before summoning, with 77 magic. Before I had the Guthix mace. WIthout guthans. I managed 50 minutes with Verac / welfare gear using slayer dart and made approximately 500k-800k profit per trip back then. (80 minutes including preparing / going there, getting back and finishing off) With summoning + guthans + guthix mace + higher defense / magic + better spells etc etc. I'd be suprised if you didn't last for 1.5 hours at least. Berserker rings are worth way more then hatchets back then. Hatchets are worth more then zerkers back then. You do the math ;) If anyone says its bad money, can't be done other then the most efficient way or just isn't fun, they should bash there head into a wall. --> Go for herblore before prayer in my opinion. Tough I'd suggest making it a longterm project in which you gather herbs yourself by chaos druids + gathering 2nds + farming + MTK etc. You don't want to break your bank and variation is quite a fun way to train herblore. --> Train combat with slayer, always in my opinion. Camping just breaks your back. Skeleton monkeys is a waste of money and time. You want charms anyway. Other then Waterfiends, slayer is just superior in my opinion over camping black demons. Just to many downsides to camping. --> Invest some in gear / levels, invest most of it in herblore (or anything you want to be honest) To the smart guy comparing the use of Slayer Dart to burying bones. There is a difference in efficiency increased by 'X' due to having higher levels and more gear to your disposal and a difference in efficiency due to having access to better training methods. Guilded altar is available to everyone that can find someone with a open house and the altar in it, which is almost at any given time of the day. However 80 magic + the guthix mace + claws of guthix unlocked isn't available to everyone. If you got any more of those ''weird'' strange arguments  Cornerrrrrr and go stand there until you know better.
  21. First of, I would like to state that using ranged on steel dragons is a complete waste of time. Maging / melee them is far more efficient. Leaf bladed sword is the absolute bomb. Combined with a slayer helmet, you're bound to have a good time there. Maging is ofcourse great to, especially with all the magic gear out there ;) If you do want to range, void is still a good choice. If you however do have acces to full armadyl, feel free to use that. Don't forget your Dragonfire shield or antifire shield!
  22. At my university students can participate in surveys, tests and such. Goes approximately for 7,50 per 75 minutes (rough estimate). Heck ;) Doing one of those each month could have paid for my membership alone. There are just Sooo many ways to make money, that I feel pity for the people that have no job thus no income.
  23. The bank is divided into member slots and F2P slots. Shown at the bottom of your bank screen. Try removing a few F2P items. (indicated as normal item name instead of member's object)
