When someone takes a religion upon themselves, all who are not that religion will disagree with tem. arguements are almost guaranted to ensue, but that's life. I'm agnostic personally, and therefore try to keep an open mind, but it seems the worst culprits are the followers of the Abrahmic reigions (Christianity, Judaism and Islam).
