The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Vs. The Pink Robots but I also agree with The Killers - Sam's Town it's cool.

One science thing I did involved blowing flour out of a funnel into a large bunsen burner to show how increasing the surface area of a reaction would speed it up. Needless to say there was a big plume of fire. During my last year of High shcool I helped out in the Pep Rally and one of the events was a lip synching contest to see who could act better to a song. It just so happened the song they chose for me was Britney Spears "Hit me Baby One More Time" I'm not going into details but I'll just say this: I won....I'll leave the rest up to your imagination.

Okay so clearly you posted this very personal story to get opinions about your parents behavior and well all I can say is there behavior is kind of normal. They're just worried that you may or may not do something silly. My advice to you is sit down with your parents and have a talk about it. You're sixteen now, if you're mature enough to have a relationship with this girl then you should be mature enough to talk about it. My advice is leave sex out of a relationship for a while, it only complicates things a lot.

I don't have a camera so I can't really post my room, it's kind of small but not too bad, I covered it in posters the first day. I have that Pink Floyd back catalogue too, sweet poster. :D

They make a valid point about it promoting drug use/cocaine as being "cool" But I don't think people are going to be like, "well I drink cocaine, might as well snort/shoot up cocaine" As for the 350% more caffeine than Red Bull I'm pretty sure that'll have some consequences. I mean people are addicted to caffeine. I think about my parents sometimes, they wake up and make a pot of coffee straight away. My dad does it before he lights up his morning cigarette! :D

So, I don't know how much you guys like The Killers but I absolutely LOVE everything they do. Feel free to bash them if you like but I'm excited to see how they changed their sound. I've heard their new single over and over again "When You were Young" but I can't wait until I hear the whole CD, Oct. 3rd can't come any faster. For those of you who have been following them, what do you think of their new album will be like?

I don't know where you live but where I am there's an all ages club downtown called the Salsa Place and it basically starts at 5:00 PM and they have a little lesson for people who have never danced the Salsa before then in the evening they have an open bar (for those who are legal) and everyone can show off what they learned earlier on. It's tons of fun and it really lets you get to know your partner. :D :D

Like most people have said get Echoes first and see what you like. Some of their older stuff (Saucerful of Secrets, Momentary Lapse of Reason etc.) might give you the wrong idea of theirstyle, because it does kind of change. The Wish You Were Here album is excellent as are Dark Side of the Moon, and The Wall (watch the movie too!)

Oye that's hardly a grade 10 problem. It just takes some concentration: [2 x 1000/(10x5x10)] = 4 really easy math the wording of the question is just confusing.........We're all geniuses!!! HUZZAH!

Face is pretty much all I can handle. I have to shave almost every 2nd day because it comes in so fast and I look like a slob when it grows out. But I don't find armpit hair or any body hair annoying enough to shave. One exception is when it's hot out and I have no shirt on when I look down my facial hair rubs against my chest hair and it irritates me.

This one time during my senior year in highschool we were doing poetry in english class and we were studying the poem "Ode to a Tomato" (something like that, can't remember exactly the title of the poem) Our teacher asked us to find an example of personification in the poem and one line read something like this: "The Tomato and the onion are wed...." Wed as in getting married, and so my friend puts up his hand and says, "The tomato and the ontion getting married is an example of personification because we all know fruit can't get married, unless you live in BC" I guess it was kind of mean because the teacher let us laugh for about 2 secs before stopping it. This was around the same time same-sex marriages were a hot item in the news.

Well I'd say overall humans are the most advanced race but some organisms live in conditions that would totally pwn us. So, you can't say we kick [wagon] all around but we're pretty good.

Ya, I had my prom last year it was exceptionally fun. There was the dressing up, going to the fancy dinner, then dancing the night away. After that they took us back to the school which they decorated with a western theme and there were blow up obstacle courses and a mechanical bull and tons of food. The finale: a hypnotist. I went up as part of the group but was never actually hypnotized so I had to go back into the audience. It all ended at 6 am and I was up by 10 getting ready to go to my friends birthday for some drinks and more fun.

My grade 12 math teacher was pretty decent, I only had one problem with her. Everytime she started writing on the board she would periodically turn around and shush us, even if no one was talking. It's like some kind of nervous tick.....it drove me crazy.

My "plan" requires me to keep the phone for 3 years and my average phone bill is $50-60/ month CAD. It's not that bad when you only use it for necessary conversations.

Do you see much of your mom during the week? Maybe your mom asks you to come to church becuase it's the one day out of the week where you can both sit down and be together. If not then it was just a suggestion. I mean it kind of makes sense if you're both busy people maybe your mom feels that church is the only way she can spend time with you and that's why she makes a big fuss. And I mean it's not like I church is that bad. The services aren't always 100% religious there are a lot of life lessons to be learned from them as well. I suggest you keep going, maybe you'll learn something that'll help you better your relationship with your mom.

So I've searched around the web and found short little snippets about The Killers releasing a new album this summer? Can anyone confirm these "rumors" or tell me if they can find a more reliable than some random website, because I can't really find anything. I'm asking because it will have me excited until the day I buy it...then it'll be all I listen to all summer.

Way to kill the vibe. Even if the potty humor isn't funny the whole situation kind of is.

I realize you want to do well at all your subjects but looking at your courses you can tell that you're more of a fine arts student. I'm guessing doing well in your other courses comes naturally without much work. I think you should take some time out of concentrating on the courses that you're good at and focus them into math or english. If that's not the case then I guess you doing well in math just wasn't meant to be. Some people just never get it, it's not neccessarily a bad thing.

This is probably the reason why I deny my heritage. I'm a very peaceful person at heart and was unfortunately born in the middle east. Every time I hear news like this it puts me down as a person even though I'm not Muslim. I still, however, get some pretty harsh reactions from people when I tell them I was born in the Middle East. On another note, I can see how the Muslim's are angry but way to blow it out of proportion.

I've seen every episode from the 1st and only season so far (15 episdoes I think). They're all really good in a story-telling sense but in the later episodes the humor kind of slips. I love the one where he has to work at the burger joint, I won't say anymore.

Ya, well I guess my previous post got the wrong impression. What I was trying to get across is that the guy has waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy to much time on his hands. I mean who honestly goes out of their way to make "cool" wave like movements with their hands?

Testify! I'm confused is that a "I agree!" testify or a "EXPLAIN YOURSELF!" testify?
