  1. No, he didn't.. I think it's the official ebaumsworldsucks song.
  2. You conveniently left out the part of religion making better people, something science and your petty insults could and will never do. Except you don't NEED religion to be a good person, have morals and make people a better person. I didn't say that you needed it; I just said that science and insults wouldn't. Science tends to make people more intelligent. More intelligent people tend to be more aware of the world around them, and more considerate; i.e. good. Science tends to make people more intelligent. More intelligent people tend to think they're better than those around them, which makes them inconsiderate, i.e. bad. Intelligent people who act arrogant were arseholes to begin with, in which case religion wouldn't help 'em out either.

  4. The first Leaper in Ravenholm in Half-Life 2.. freaky...
  5. Decades ago called. They want their joke back. And yes, I realize the irony, hush.
  6. I've actually found that the opposite is true. Uninteresting books simply bore me, which makes me tend to think about other things while reading, which I would guess then adds more mental stimulus to reading, which would be more stimulus than just reading.
  7. Like I said, it's not religion. Religion is just a front for people's baser views and philosophies. It's not religion they're fighting over, it's their view. So, if there were no religions, we'd still be fighting over our different views. That is the single most narrow-minded view of religion I have ever heard. You're talking about religious extremism, which is far from the majority of religious populations.
  8. This statement is entirely inaccurate. Even if it was true, the argument is still asinine.. If it wasn't religion, it would be something different.

I'm lucky in that my high school allows you to take a programming class to fulfill your computer class requirement, and my programming teacher is amazing. He used to teach/manage at Apple for like 20 years, but decided he'd rather come back and teach highschool. So not only is he a genius, but he's got really good real world experience.
  10. Abstract is wonderful because it can be anything you want it to be. Just fool around with shapes and patterns and colors. You could also try google, google is good for that..
  11. I want better pictures, darnit! I also want to know whether or not they're actually what could be considered teeth, or simply growths on the beak.
  12. The cambrian explosion is in no way evidence for the "god put it there" theory. If that was not what you were suggesting then yes, I have misread your argument. Now that I think about it, it's more of a proof against evolution than for God. Evolution teaches gradual changes. With the CE you have next to no (or myabe just no) life, and then all of a sudden millions of fossils appear in a very very short time. That's counter-evolutionary. One reason I would give for no fossils before the "cambrian explosion", is that before that, life was just physically either too small to leave fossils, or we're unable to see them. Just because we haven't found hundreds of intermediary fossils doesn't mean it disproves the evolutionary theory. Really good fossils are really rare. Something that dies doesn't automatically just become a complete skeleton in the ground. The conditions have to be perfect. As for something coming from nothing - who says we're saying something comes from nothing? I personally don't beleive life just came into existance somehow. Statistics would say that there had to be some sort of intervention somewhere, whether intentional by some sentient being (not referring to a god figure here), or some particles from space that made their way to earth and happened to interact with other particles and created life. Peter. I'll hold you back if you hold me. ;P
  13. I think I'm done too, this topic has been beaten to liche.
  14. Did they? I think you need to do your research. We've found evidence of water on mars, but so-far, as far as I know, have no real evidence of life of any kind, even plants. Nor do we have any real proof of what the climate used to be like. Earth, amongst other things (water, etc.) is the perfect distance from the sun for lifeforms like us. Not too hot, not too cold. That played a distinct role in our development.
  15. Nobody, except those ill-informed, think humans evolved from monkies. We came from an ape-like creature that was the common ancestor to modern apes (Gorillas, Chimps, Ourangutans)
  16. That works though, but only in bad situations. Why did my brother die? "God hates you." Why was Bush Jr. born? "God is a spiteful jerk." :)
  17. Sorry, divined, I meant no offense. It's just such a very specific question. Are you unsure how to draw anything in paint? If so, we can help you with that. If you're able to draw, then you should be able to draw fire. Just do it like you'd do it on paper...
  18. Why, you use the fire tool, of course.
  19. Haha, that's hilarious. How on earth did they get in if all they can do is frontpage?
  20. '00 Ford Escort ZX2.. Not a muscle car by any means, but it's got some kick. :) Good gas mileage too, so, I can't complain.
  21. You may also talk about how the economies on MMORPGS are interesting studies of economics in general / microchasms of our own economy.
  22. Taylor Hicks is going to kick Pickler's arse. :)
  23. http://www.ebaumsworldsucks.com/ Props to Bubsa for the link. Let's take the theiving bugger down, or at least reduce traffic to his site. Even if not everything on the above website is true, the very basis of eBaum's world is to make profit off of other people's work - very uncool.
  24. 3 years in prison is ridiculous. Especially since he isn't really active. I think that at most he should have been banned from publishing anything for a few years or something, and that's only if he actually is currently denying the holocaust.

I liked some parts of it, didn't like other parts of it.. The whole delving into why John was doing what he did was pretty interesting, as were the "traps", but, I'll agree the twist was to twist-y and was, as Anesthesia said served up to you on a plate rather than being given to you bit-by-bit.. Like Shamylan movies..
