Don't like the moon.. it makes it look like you tried to do some sort of bizarre bevel in the corner there.. I'd say take the stroke off of it and spread the glow out a fair bit more. Other than that, I really like it. I especially like the typo. :)

Beat it yesterday... surpasses the original by leaps and bounds.. especially in terms of audio.

It's pretty good for a Pixel, and a second sig.. but I think you should try some different genres.

You know what vambraces look like? You just add pixels until you get something that looks like vambraces. Not too difficult.

The only problem I see is that it's pixel.. you should try a different genre.

Was digging through my old stuff, and decided to see what y'all new folks thought: For a GuildWars fansite/forum- Everything is mine, from scratch, except the background, which is a GW screenshot. Stock photo with some hand-brushed clouds. Scary, no? I love random typography... Another featuring my favoritest stuffed-monkey Guiseppe. Macro is always fun! A random manipulation of a stock photo while, granted wasn't terribly difficult to do, came out nice. All hand-made brushed/penned. The latter came first, the top one I just incorporated the grass object into a stock photo I enjoyed. Hand-made sphere that I'm rather proud of. More 3D stuff Expirimentation with texture

It's a random image script.. there are various ones out there. All or most at least are coded using php. Basically it shows a random image out of a set on each load. Others will know better than me where the current good place to get one would be.

Looks very nice! I didn't think I'd ever say this, but, it's darn good to see some abstract for a change.

Nice.. Suggestions: kill the shadow under your head. clean up the lines on your ear. as Ryan said, the bg is too vibrant, I think. and make the lines on your shirt thicker those are some realatively small things, though, so, very good job :D EDIT: also, I think you should give yourself a little line that shows your lower-lip, as your inspiration did.

I remember the episode where the kid got abducted and put into a zoo for aliens.. and was fed nasty green jello stuff. My favorite one though is where the 2 kids mess around with the one kid's radio equiptment and end up contacting aliens, and then the alien comes and makes crazy energy webs and screws with them. Then you find out it's just a kid alien messing around.. Damn aliens.

That may be the case, but seriously, you're just stereotyping her. Not all people who choose alternative lifestyles do it just for the sake of novelty, and not all of them jump up to flaunt their differences for the sake of it.

It's funny though... I doubt anyone would complain or yell "discrimination!" if the rule was enforced on heterosexuals but not homosexuals. I really doubt that the opposite would happen to begin with, and if it did happen, I'm sure somone would care..

"It's OK 'cause if the opposite happened nobody would care".. yeah, ok. Not that I think the opposite would happen, or that anyone would not care.

I've actually taken hardly any art classes. What I was really trying to say is what you said, you need skill and vision, regardless of the medium. I was just using different terms. And no, composition and color schemes are very far from a set of set-in-stone rules to go by, but the terms do help you describe what is and what isn't visually appealing.

You don't have to be taught anything to know how to put together a good color scheme, and have something that's compositionaly nice..

I tried pixel art once and quit because i sucked at it. Basically if you don't have talent to start with it will take a long time to get good at it. And too many people post pixel art that sucks (don't mean to be harsh but it's the truth). I like abstract, grunge, ect. sigs that you can actually make into a "one of a kind sig" (people can't copy your work and have it turn out exactly the same). This whole pixel thing is only good if you have an amazing talent for it. And there's only a few people who can actually make pixel sigs look good. (also the price of them is far overpriced). All-in-all those who can;t make the pixel sigs look good should try a different form of "art" /flame on Funny thing is.. your "abstract, grunge, etc." if not only just as, is less original and "one of a kind" than pixel stuff. It too can't be done well unless you have real artistic talent. You can make stuff that looks kind of cool, but anyone that knows anything will know it's vapid, and as far from art as possible. I "don't mean to be harsh but it's the truth".

At least people can't download brushes and make crappy brushpiles. Pixel art forces people to create things themselves (for the most part), though I think that's the only redeeming quality of it. Except for a small proportion of people, nobody can make good pixel art, and that's the problem. People who have no real artistic talent make things and then call it "art". Those peices you posted, GS, are incredible, but I'd bet a large sum of money that the artists who did them have extremely good skills in traditional media as well (painting, pencil darwing, etc). Not to mention a good understanding of color theory, design, etc. Regardless of what it is, a brush pile or a crappy pixel, most new artists don't know what design is, how to use color, or any of the like. 6 in one, if you ask me.

That's very true, Mercifull, the question in my mind, however, is whether or not they were truly discriminating against her. I.E. enforcing the rule in only her case simply because of her sexual orientation. If it's true, they certainly have a case, and I certainly agree that something wrong was done on the school's part. As for them telling her parents - she's a minor. Not to mention if she didn't want her parents to know she shouldn't have been doing it in extreme public.

If you have the latest version of Internet Explorer and obviously keep it up-to-date I believe the default settings are to block popup's and only allow verified active-x controls. Someone would have to change the settings off the defaults to get spyware that didn't involve you accepting it. There have been many documented cases about viruses and hackers exploiting "harmless" activex controls already installed on people's computers. Take a look at the recent example of Sony... That is to be expected. Sony < * So as long as users stay away from any mainstream websites, they'll be fine, right? Sounds reasonable. I don't know why anyone would want to browse anything other than "Jack's Bait Online" anyway.. Jaklumen You should try Opera, it's got a fully-featured multi-document-interface. Tabs are but a parlor trick when compared to an MDI. :)

You could also go for Opera, which many people believe is in many ways superior to FireFox.
