  1. More like every true pixel artist shades completely by hand.. I see no problem using Photoshop or something where there's a highly more advanced color palette and swatches amongst other things that don't neccesarily remove the need for skill, but make things easier.

I used to have the same problem with my clock.. to be quite honest I don't remember exactly how it fixed itself. In the meantime, however, try searching google for an atomic clock synchronizer. Any free 3rd party one should work better than windows built-in one. At least they did for me..
  3. I agree. The core of the series is to be a good story. Nothing more and nothing less. The fact that she incorporates these ideas aren't to teach us a lesson, but to make the situations more real, and more serious. We feel emotionally attached if we're dealing with racism - its something real and cruel to us - so we feel stronger for Harry's cause than we do Voldemort's. I disagree.. I think that the core idea is the whole idea of destiny is what you make it.. not only with the central plot, but with things like Hermione being of muggle descent, but being the best witch ever, Dumbledore's brother being a lowly bartender, etc..
  4. I've as yet never had a job.. but I've been looking for one for about a month now. Hopeful that I'll get a job at the local Best Buy (electronics store), either being a salesperson on the floor, or working in the tech department.
  5. There are obviously underlying messages about prejudice/etc, but I don't beleive that's the core idea of the series.
  6. Love the almost flash-style animation. Good to see some original stuff around here once in a while..
  7. I heard that the priority of who gets a 360 is based on how many peripherals they buy with it.. ridiculous.
  8. Wait so Such Geat Heights was done originally by Iron & Wine and PS covered it? That's kinda disappinting. I mean it's still a great, but I just loved it so much before and now to find out it isn't an original Postal Service song...:S Indeed it was..
  9. The Shin's cover of We Will Become Shilouettes by Postal Service was great - the original was good, but the cover had a great quirky beat to it.. Postal Services' cover Iron & Wine's such great heights was much more popular than the original, unfortunately. I think the original was great... Mike Doughty's cover of Real Love by I dunno is fantastic. I remember the original song, and the cover fits the lyrics much better, I think. Yeah. Don't hurt me. I'm a music noob.
  10. I'll say it was the best out of the 4 movies so-far. This is the first movie of the series I would be willing to see again, the first 3 sucked so horribly it's not even funny.. I will say that I really didn't like how Dumbledore was portrayed. In the books he's much more calm, and much more... "grand". In the movie Dumbledore lost his cool more than once, and his lines were sub-par at best. The only time he was ok was when he was giving his speech at the end - how it would be an insult to Cedric's memory to say that his death was an accident. I also didn't like how they left out the last really good scene of the book, where Dumbledore gets in a fight with Cornelius, sends everyone off to do their thing, etc. Without that there's hardly any good setup for the next movie. Lame. The dragon scene was overplayed, as well, but, meh.
  11. Yes.. Astraline's point was that if said subliminal messaging affected people only younger than 9, and the show hasn't been around for 20 years, how can people who are 30+ be or have been affected by said subliminals? Maybe people are addicted to the game because it's good, and the show because it entertains them..

Unless the store says they're used, which I doubt, since iSkins aren't as popular as they should be (yet?), so I don't think that there's enough of them out there to be any kind of a decent market of selling used ones. So, basically, yeah, resellers just mean they buy them wholesale from the company and sell them in their store.
  13. I really don't think you should even be calling 9/11 / the holocaust hate, let alone the election of Bush. I remember in the year 2000 Bush seemed like the better candidate, at least to me. I doubt anyone knew what he was going to do. 9/11 was done out of religious fanaticsm, they beleived they were earning a one-way ticket to heavan by killing all of the "infidels". Hitler may have hated the Jews, but I beleive it was primarily simply because he beleived the aryan race to be superior. Hate is such a strong word. I don't think you can say you even hate anything..

The prices are American, yeah. I thought that the only place you could get them was online, but, evidently they have resellers.. http://www.iskin.com/store/I2findareseller.tpl See if there's anything near you..

http://www.iskin.com/duo_nano/features.html iSkin is the only way to go. Complete protection, and stylish too! What more could you ask? I have an older model iSkin (only single layer) for my mini, and I love it. I need to get a whel protecter though. There's a small seperation in one of the top seams, and you can't use an iTrip Mini with it, but otherwise it's fantastic - my mini is pristine underneath. I'd definitely buy another if I got a nano or something.
  16. Babies, when born, aren't yet capable of understanding the gravity of what has just happened to them. I beleive the crying is a sign that they are breathing correctly.
  17. Thousand Foot Krutch is a popular Christian Rock band.. As much as I despise the expression: 'nuff said.
  18. I actually really like Patton Oswalt...
  19. We talking strange or interesting? If the former.. I know people are gonna hit me for this, but, Pink Floyd's the Wall was pretty strange. Good, but strange. If the latter, Primer. Very interesting.
  20. From what I've heard it was a really well-done movie with superb casting an an excellent soundtrack.. definitely on my "to see" list..

I think either a hyrax, and or a wombat, and or a capybara would be really cool pets.. Capybaras are kind of like giant amphibious guinea pigs, hyarx are actually furry mammals related to cows.. about the size of a large cat, and wombats I honestly don't know much about..but they're cool. :)
  22. I was thinking syphilis, but, that works too..
  23. Pah ta toh poh to toh same thing Actually no, they're quite different. If we'd evolved from monkies we would be radically dissimilar from what we are now. Not so much so as if we had evolved from say, iguanas.. but pretty dissimilar.
  24. The game really is a pretty good rpg, as far as replay value.. There are so many ways to beat the game, so many paths to take.. especially some of the newer versions. I used to watch the show.. and I see nothing wrong with it now. It's meant to be a kids show, you don't have to like it now, you're not designed to. As for all the merchandising, I say "meh". The Harry Potter merchandising is far worse in my opinion.
