  1. Google's not that corrupt. I'm confident (naive?) that google's search results are based soley on their algorithms/statistics
  2. http://www.lavalys.com/products/overvie ... =1&lang=en try that..
  3. Sorry assassin, but i can completely contradict you. I'm doing AS level maths right now, and we need graphic calculators :P . Our college tells us which calculator to get (Casio 9750) and its pretty much a must if we want to do well. But i've never heard of putting games on a calculator or even running an OS :? . It seems pretty commonplace to all you other people, strange that... Casio 9750 is a graphing calculator? I know Casio has them, but am unsure what model is what.. I've never heard of running a game on a Casio calculator either, I think it's TI-Specific.. Also, MirageOS isn't a seperate OS, it's simply an application that's used to launch other programs more easily.
  4. I did 4 Unit maths at my school, a selective private school, one of Sydney's best schools, and we never used graphing calculators.. What kind of classes were they? Odd that you never used any graphing calculators.
  5. There's a better pic maybe, for those of you who don't know him.. Knowing nothing about him, and going just off his picture.. I think it should be interesting at least. Though he does look more like he'd be better suited to being a bond villian as opposed to bond himself.
  6. I know you already got flayed for this, Trapical, but.. Were you serious? Your logic was exactly as flawed as his was. Both of you displayed excellent examples of 2 of the classic logical fallacies - appeal to the population, and appeal to authority.
  7. Try Tag & Rename, it's got lots of great features.. too many and I'm too tired to list atm.. just google it.. :)
  8. Judgement day is nigh. Repent now or burn forever in the fiery depths of hell! Seriously, though, it is a bit creepy...
  9. Technically nice, I suppose, but compositionally they're very dull, and the subject matter is nothing special.
  10. Both fans are mostly geeks that spend their time on the net playing computer games. I wouldn't worry too much about that. :P Actually, that's not true at all.. There aren't really many fans of Jackson who are as diehard as Halo fans, and Halo is one of the largest "Jock games", at least here in the U.S., which means that most of the diehard fans are jocks/idiots. Most true gamers don't like Halo much..
  11. Peter Jackson is co-producing it with his wife, I beleive..
  12. You can only get them online.. and I don't know of any other cases that offer as much protection as they do.. What's wrong with ordering them online?
  13. I'd go with the iSkin, especially now that they have wheel protectors as well. I have one for my mini and I love it. The screen protector has a few scratches in it, but the iPod underneath is pristine as the day I bought it. Except for maybe a little dirt that worked it's way under the skin, but that can be quickly cleaned off.
  14. Actually, no.. The objects were modeled and textured in 3D Studio Max and then the text and touchups were added in Photoshop. I know because Iw and I made it.
  15. That was indeed what was used for that sig.
  16. I don't know about WhatPulse but I had a program installed a long time ago which did pretty much the same thing. Application | KeyStrokes | MouseClicks | MouseDistance And you could compare how far your mouse had traveled in relation to a heap of things like the English Channel, climbing the Eifle Tower, Manhatten Marathon (or something like that). Someone else probably knows what I'm talking about :-? MouseOdometer? I used that as well for a while.. fun program.. Also had stuff like Mount Everest, grand canyon, 100m dash, etc.. also breakdowns of the different stats per program.. really kind of interesting

The thing that bugs me about terregen is that you really can get stunning results from little to no artistic work. This fact makes it hard to critique terregen peices because you don't know whether it's good aspects were intentional or an accident..
  18. How's this, Nadril? Your stuf looks good, but it has no artistic merit. If you want to be an artist learn some design. If you don't really care, and just want to create stuff that "looks good", continue what you're doing. As for learning design.. I dunno.. try google? See if your school/uni/whatever has any classes? Design theory is fun. You'd probably like it. :)
  19. As opposed to locking this.. I'll try giving the peice some real constructive criticsm and see if people can't stop being twits and do the same.. The first and most obvious thing is the streaky sky, but that's been covered ad infinite item, so, I'll leave it.. Compositionally, it's crap.. as with all your stuff, to be honest. There's no focal point, it's off-balance like no other.. etc.. There are some interesting movements in the canyon area but I assume that was unintentional on your part. The title being "rock beast" I guess that your focus was the monolithic cliff/plataeu/whatever and everything else was just a backdrop for it. What you need to do, I think, Nad, is learn design. Once you are a proficient designer, your art will be much better. As to the whole is terregen a 3d program thing... I beleive the actual technical term for it is a "ray tracer".. which is what bryce and vue are classified as. Also, if I recall correctly, doing landscapes in a modeling program is unintuitive, at best.
  20. I saw it about a month ago.. ;) My favorite part, hands down, are the spiderman part and the "Wacky Wailing Inflatable Arm-Flailing Tube Man" or whatever guy.. hilarious..
  21. I love the letterforms.. except the H? with the white background.. the negative works much better, I think. Takes the focus away from the fact that it looks like a clothes pin, so it's more subtle. The line repetition designs are also really interesting. The 2 on the left I think are my favorite. The right is interesting.. but doesn't look like a clothespin much at all..
  22. Used car from a large dealer.. they better fix it if it is broken.. I blew in the cd changer and the magazine, that fixed it temporarily. I'm just gonna get a can of air and blow it out really good and see if that helps me.
  23. I just got a new car today, and it came with a 6 cd changer in the trunk.. I loaded it up with CDs, and, apart from being a bit slow (IMO), it worked perfectly fine for a while. Then it started skipping really badly, though, and now it won't work at all.. Anyone have any ideas?
  24. Engrave "Microsoft iPod"... or the windows logo.. I just assume that you can only do text unless you do the engraving yourself..
  25. From what I've heard, it may be strong, but it's unbelieavably easy to scratch and smudge..
