  1. Firefox isn't bad. I tried Opera but I missed my extensions on Firefox :( Which extensions did you miss? Opera comes preloaded with many features that extensions create, and you can customize Opera further to have other features that extensions create..
  2. I think PA's Tycho illustrates quite well my opinion on the subject: http://penny-arcade.com/news.php?date=2005-09-21 (some inappropriate language prolly, dun yell at me) One line in particular: He's basically saying that Nintendo's stuff is always so in-freaking-credibly awesome and unique that it doesn't matter that they're not going "mainstream" or whatever. I mean.. first person shooters are great and all, but there's only so many ways you can shoot a guy in the head before it all starts running together. I beleive they will always have at least a large-enough niche' market that they can stay up. However I also beleive that they will most likely retain more than that, and that the actual innovation of their stuff will keep the people they have, and bring new people.
  3. Actually, technically, egg whites are transparent when raw, so until they're fully cooked they'd be, well, transparent, showing the color of the pan (grey) underneath. Or at least that's what I think he was going for.
  4. Opera does not have extensions. This is a good thing in a lot of ways, though. For one, Opera has a ton of features already installed, so, you shouldn't need any extensions. Also, extensions may become uncompatible, so you may end up not being able to use them, or able to use even the browser itself. Extensions can also bloat and slow down the browser. You can do lots of customizing stuff, though. Google opera wiki and check out it's customization areas.
  5. Well, maybe not as many excuses, one of your biggest excuses perhaps, though, is now untrue. That's right! Opera is now free. Go try it at least! http://www.opera.com Check out 30 days to becoming an Opera 8 lover, and Runesmithie's own expiriment.
  6. Don't use the flashy underbanners, please. They're extremely annoying.
  7. Arr! It be time again for that most notable of holidays.
  8. ... Wow. To your topic, though.. I've never kept a notebook, but I do definitely love to learn.. I've found some of the most interesting stuff is that which you come upon by chance.I usually find a random interesting book while doing research projects and end up spending more time reading that than actually doing the research for the project. Try your local library.. it's fun to just wander around and flip through any book that jumps out at you. Looking at random wikipedia pages is similarly interesting, though obviously the information there may not be as reputable.
  9. Awesome, thanks! It was so obvious, too.. :(
  10. I'm making a program in TIBasic and I've run into a slight problem.. Does anyone know either a way to figure out how many elements there are in a list? or, how to loop through a list in some other means? I'll give more specifics if nobody knows that...
  11. I just feel really sorry for the kid.. 15 years from now, kid is browsing on sites he probably shouldn't and all of the sudden: "MOM!?!" Poor, poor boy.
  12. StyleXP is a patched uxtheme.dll. Just with a fancy frontend. How that's worth $20 I fail to see.. Ever heard of LiteStep, biox? Supposedly it's really cool, and I think does the same thing blackbox does.. On topic, though, I really don't have any ideas, sorry... Except... have you tried the event log to see if any errors are showing up there?
  13. According to IMDB, he was born in 1976. That's crazy.. he doesn't look or sound anywhere near that old..
  14. Never seen it before, but I just watched a few of the online videos.. How old is this kid? He seems 14 or something... Definitely the stupidest show ever, but it doesn't surprise me at all that this crap is on MTV.
  15. When did he imply that he wanted your help? What makes you think you can offer him help. I've never seen you design any spectacular websites. Don't be jerks, guys. If you want to offer some help, help him out. Don't laugh at him and demean him.
  16. Just a warning to those that want to post: Keep this civil. No bashing other people for their beleifs.
  17. Fifth Element. Give me the movie, not the actor.
  18. It is, Phil, but I was looking for the movie... anybody know?
  19. Probably easy..
  20. Still very obviously computer-generated. Sorry. You failed to capture the feel of the various cliffs or whatever in the foreground, the material you used there is far too light/brown. Also, the lack of any mist/fog/clouds whatever you want to call that really detracts. You could've put more effort into post-terregen PS work.
  21. The stance doesn't look that bad.. looks like he's just slightly off-balance or something. There's something wrong with the lower face, though. I can't tell if you made the mouth sort of like S or if you just made the cheekbones or something too pronounced, but it definitely looks off.
  22. This thing is really bordering on that -too small- line.. The screen looks barely big enough to be readable. I'd be interested in seeing one before I even thought about buying.
  23. Awww, and I just got an iPod mini... poo.
  24. We have a winnar!
