Been using both for a while....Myspace hit its low a year or so ago but seems to have taken control of the spam issue and has restored itself back to semi-respectability. Facebook on the other hand was always purported as the more sophisticated alternative and actually required a valid school email address to log in. They have since opened it to everybody and a number of issues have arisen since, such as the overuse of "applications". Anyway, I'm sick of all of the unfounded hate on Myspace, it almost seems like the "hip" thing to do lately is to actually not have a Myspace, and hate on it, pretty hypocritical if you ask me. Saying its just for scene kids and 14 y/os is getting a little old.

Whats funnier is Runescape, and how the characters never looked right and probably never will. Its actually making me laugh out loud right here, how we've evolved from shuffling people with platelegs that look like we took a dump in them to large-headed people with stubby legs. It almost seems like its right like that, its just the Runescape way...

You're on the Tip.It "Music, Movies, and Television" boards, did you expect any different? I sure didn't. Next to NOBODY on this forum have actually listened to rap, or given it a chance. You can tell just by what people are saying. "All they do is rap about money, clothes, women, and they're all African American". The last one is just totally ignorant, but the former just SHOWS they don't know Talib Kweli, Common, Nas, any of those guys. MTV and the radio aren't hip-hop. It's like saying My Chemical Romance or Panic at the Disco are rock. Rap covers topics as broad as any other genre, I'd love to see someone to prove me otherwise. I can't even see how this topic got this far. These are always just undercover "Let's bash rap and country" threads. A lot of the bashing is of the bandwagon variety, people just hate on it because everyone else does. Now that doesn't mean its not justified, since the majority of rap fits the general stereotype people pit against it. There is some good rap, but trying to defend the entire genre using just a few honorable artists is a losing battle.

I had dial-up for a week or so while switching cable providers...easily the worst week of the last 10 years for me.

We're in doubt about the avatars, not the overall graphics. They look great. When in doubt about the avatars, go back and look at some of the older RS2 avatars, then all will be fine.

You don't have to play on high detail, you know...It's not detrimental at all. JaGex is trying to compete with other companies by upping their graphics 'cause nowadays, graphics are important, because kids have no lives...And want to play a game thats so authentic that it's almost liker eal life. Anyway, excuse my tangent. They're upping their graphics to get graphics obsessed players or people that like graphics. If they can't run it, upgrade the computer. If you can't do that, oh freakin' well. But the point is you don't have to play it on this detail. But compared to other games, the graphics still aren't good. Lets set the record straight, these graphics are good...for Runescape. :o

While thing will surely get smoothed out a bit within the next few days, I can't help but worry that Jagex has gotten ahead of themselves a bit. Part of Runescape's appeal is the ability to just jump on from almost any computer and play. The inclusion of system-hindering graphics aren't exactly something to get excited about, this may have serious detrimental impact.

I recall back in Middle school ('97-'98) just browsing sites looking for Pokemon cheats. I do remember using Google though back when people still thought Altavista and Lycos were the best search engines, looks like I got the last laugh there.

Look, I was the same way back around 2003, this can be a very addicting game. Don't let it do to you what it did to me, get out there, enjoy life while you're young. Start playing sports, socialize more, you'll miss it when its gone. Keep yourself busy with more productive activities (A job!). Trust me, this game isn't worth that much to you.

Haha, now that they're gone I kind of laugh remembering the mobs of them around Seers' Village going to and from the flax and trees. All the silly names like Jo3435 and Jo3456 etc. etc. That surge of them will surely go down in the history books.

Uh, I could list a number of points on the matter but I think we all know what we think about people with Runescape relationships :lol: Nothing really needs to be said.

The first is original, but not fitting. The second is cliche and unoriginal.

I always felt it was overpriced, I'm glad the price is going down.

Another one of these threads? The word "newb" in all of its forms has nearly completely lost any of its original meaning. Once used to denote newer players to a game, it has deteriorated into a derogatory term which is used so often and casually that it no longer carries any weight. Blame the internet and its obsession with fads, like the current flavor of the month: "Epic fail".
