  1. Someone in draynor bank: "Buying wind talisman".
  2. hyt! Awsome bloggeh
  3. The second article reminded me so much of when i first started, standing outside varrock asking people where varrock was, and walking up and down the world of runescape utilising the most obscure mining locations, furnaces and anvils because they were the only ones i knew, and also the use of a bank evaded me for some time too HAHA! EXcelent read, good job.
  4. why dont you cut teaks or eucalyptus, both are much faster than maples! Grats on getting inferno adze, its awsome!
  5. keep at it, a lot of ftpers are training crafting with them now that it is in high demand for members. Although i think the only way you'll be able to buy them on the ge is at max, seeinmg as all the ftpers who make them now that they sell instantly on max. Good luck.
  6. full helm isn't worth the price yet. d plate is d plate isn't tbh. D plate is marginally worse than barrows armour. And Bandos exceeds Barrows. So you're better sticking to barrows or getting bandos. yeah but you need to repair barrows, and bandos plate is 6mil more. so I think d plate is worth it. But the money you save from using less food whilst using barrows armour covers the cost of repairing it, or so ive heard. Also to answer your question, i would suggest spending a lot of time reading the forums, knowledgebase and the runescape wiki. I didnt play or follow what was happening in runescape between 2006 and 2008, when i came back there were 2 new skills, trade limits, grand exchange, no wilderness, loads of new items like godwars items etc, so yeah it took me a while to figure it all out.
  7. I made profit when i last trained my crafting. I bought silver bars max, crafted them into unstrung symbols, and sold those for max as well. XP is almost as good as making tiaras, but you actually make profit!
  8. I trained my crafting as a ftper on these recently. For me they almost every time they sold instantly for max.
  9. Also note that if you have a programable keyboard like the logitech g11 or 15 it has a macro record button. Obviously using this feature is against the rules, so make sure that your just binding the programable keys to the mouse movements. Excellent guide!
  10. God of end! I loved your old firemaking guide, strange that i remember to lol. Inspired me to get 99 fm after i realised how quick it was lol, still havent got round to it yet though lol.
  11. I was under a different username and was that level 3 in karamja getting his fishing level up so i could make money and buy a rune 2h :P You got stuck in the hut and had to tele out! May see you there again sometime, but i already got bored of it, its just not what it once was.
  12. ya my main man frank herbert hehe. which book r u on? u should try dune 2000. even tho its outdated. its alot like the first red alert, but the gameplay is somewhat like starcraft, where each faction has their own soldiers and abilities. more like red alert tho since westwood also made it  Im on Children of Dune at the mo, just read Dune and Dune messiah and its all looking pretty epic at the moment! Well if dune 2000 is anything like red alert (which was, and still is an awsome game!) than im definately going to give it a go! Frank Herbert foreveerrr!!
  13. nice stats! How did you make the money for the green mask?
  14. Honestly mining gold ore is one of the better methods of making money in ftp, and it is better than fishing etc as someone metioned. I could make between 50-100k (cant remember for sure) per hour mining in the crafting guild and banking with cabbage port. If there are people there, and you have a vaguely decent mining level, they'll log pretty quickly once you've outmined them a few times.
  15. what are the xp/gp per hour rates for mining coal and gold? from my experiance probably only 10k an hour.
  16. Its really impressive how people mention it twice, and they dont even explain I wouldn't bother to actually make a post if I dont make a full sentance explaining the idea By the way,you can make money by mining coal.It is very wanted in market.Get high mining enough and than get into miners guild inside fallador (dungeon thing under east bank) Its more profitable to mine gold rather than coal.
  17. I've heard string amulet is the fastest experiance, the whole inventory gets done in one cast ive heard. Rather expensive though.
  18. as soon as you get to 88 you should make addy plates you should lose not much from here to 99. The hard bit is getting to 88, you could just superheat an incredible amout of bars, or make lots and lots of iron plates which will be quicker.
  19. All the Forinthry bracelet does is stop you from being tb'ed by a revenant while your in the wilderness. So you can still teleport anywhere in the wilderness as long as your below level 20 if you get 'tbed by a rev'. This effect only occurs 5 time before the bracelet shatters. On a side note, the bracelet can also be used to enter the abyss and not get skulled, although your prayer points will still be drained. \ \
  20. Excellent guide! I wish id had this a while ago instead of having to teach myself all of these things. Few things i disagree with, not only that rune longs are better than scimmis =p 1. I really dont think you need 3 types of arrows in your bank. When i train range i use bronze or iron seeing as its the chepest, although you can still make your money back on more expensive arrows. Therefore in my bank i only have bronze and addy arrows, and the bronze arrows arent entirely nessessary either, so i would say you should only store a maximum of two different types of arrow, bronze/iron/steel and addy. Also I would disagree with the use of an amulet of magic. This is not nessessary unless your purely attacking with magic, which you will most probably being rarely doing, and due to its cheapness i believe you should only buy it from the ge when you need it, and then sell it when your done. I'll post a picture of my bank later so you can use it as comparison! Also im very impressed with your storage of random armour and how you brought yourself to drop a load of it! Once again a great guide!
  21. How much cash do you have? I wasnt refering to myself lol. Just commenting thats how much the most of the maxed out ftpers had to spend to get 99 prayer.
  22. you can make profit on addy plates, and rune squares and stuff, only problem is they're very expensive so you cant buy very many at once unless you've got lots of starting capitol.
  23. you could spend 350m on 99 prayer as several top ftpers have done!!
  24. maple longs (u) never sold for me on min when i was last a member =) I say burn them!
