Do you still get the problems when you're hardwired (directly connected)? If that doesn't make any difference, then have you got any other internet using programs open as well such as msn, irc etc when you play?

What does it mean? I've seen this quite a lot when looking for graphics cards, new computers etc but I'm kind of lost to what it's about. Does it enable you to have 2 gfx cards connected up to 1 output, or is something else entirely? If so, wouldn't this work out at better value if you had say two 8800GTs rather than a single GTX 280 or something? Any help appreciated, thanks :)

I have a P4 with an 8600GT and SPORE runs fine on highest with no framerate issues. You aren't going to need something like a 4850, that's just overkill. As Nadril said, a prebuilt would probably save you a lot of hassle and wouldn't cost that much anyway seeing as you aren't going to be running anything that demanding. Newegg has some decent ones iirc.

OP lives in England, so Newegg is useless. Atm I just use a cheap keyboard with no problems, but Logitech are good if you want something a bit better with more features. I did some browsing, and perhaps this may be what you want? It's only £13 too :) Or if you don't mind spending more, then this.

In short, most torrents are illegal and your ISP can fine you/cut you off if you use them. You can use them for legal stuff, though most people associate torrenting with illegal file sharing.

How I love the way some people seem to blame video games as an excuse for violent behaviour sometimes :| . This guy clearly had other serious problems, just blaming it entirely on the fact he was playing a violent game is extremely narrow minded.

I've been playing quite of Trackmania Nations Forever recently, finally got 100 medals and designed a couple of cars. It's an awesome game considering it's free on steam.

Best thing I can suggest is to make a copy of the entire hard drive and use the XP disk to fix it, just so you don't lose anything. If that doesn't work, your best bet would probably be to reinstall Windows.
