Any percific companies i will check some now, oh and i forgot to add I'm From the UK just take a note of that. As am I :). Like I said any of the major computer companies such as Dell, HP, Asus etc will offer you the option to have a wireless network card put in.

Easy, you just need to buy a PC with a wireless network card, or buy one and put it into the PC yourself. They cost about £20 or so (when I last checked), though most major computer companies should give you the option to customize your order so that you can have one put in.

Last night I was taking some photographs of the moon for my astronomy coursework, however I overexposed most of my photos :(. When I uploaded the photos to my PC I noticed a strange 'ghost moon' had appeared. Any ideas how this could have happened? I'm curious to know why. [hide=Here's what I'm on about][/hide] EDIT: Turns out it was the UV filter I had on the end of the longer lens I was using. It isn't mars or venus or anything like that ;)

TF2, I can usually stay in the top 5 per round on my regular server. I played so much as Medic trying to get the Chief of Staff achievement (1 million HP healed), it's easily my best class. Other than that I can fairly well in fast paced fps games, like UT and such; though I'm not as good at stealth type games.

Black Mesa Source is a pretty promissing "remake" of Half life 1. It's going in a more cinematic direction than the original so should be a fun game. I've been following that for a while now, looks to be a pretty sweet mod, though different from the original Half-Life. I was mainly thinking of HL2 & CS:S, though I'm doubtful Valve will change them.

Usual weekend stuff, except my parents are having a party this evening, so I have to keep out of sight, to an extent. I'm using my dad's old pc for some 'old skool' gaming, age of kings, red alert 2, unreal tournament etc. Ah, the memories :

TEA! I would expire without the stuff, I drink at least 3-4 cups a day. As for healthiest, 'green tea' is supposedly good for you.

ASUS are good, but a lot of other brands are too. Considering how good value for money things like the 4850 HD are (on par with Nvidia's GTX 260 for just over half the price), if you can wait then it should be worth it.

This is odd :-k You said you checked it for malware etc. What exactly did you do and what did you scan with? Have you tried getting a HiJack This log and looking at that, or if not, posting it here?

This wouldn't exactly be a remake, but it'd be quite nice if some of the older source games were modified to use newer versions of the engine.

Has someone set a speed limit to your PC on the router? Try when no one else if using the router, and see if the same still happens.

Easiest way to find out specs is to go start run and type 'dxdiag'.

Afaik, there is no TF2 bot AI similar the CSS one. The best way is just to practice against other people. Even playing other classes will help you to an extent with aim and such.

Assuming you're on about your graphics driver, try re-downloading and reinstalling it. It'd also be useful to know the rest of your computer's specs.

I'm kinda stumped as it is. You said it runs fine on other games so it's unlikely to be a driver or a hardware problem. The only thing I can think of is updating your monitor drivers if you can (the windows default ones normally work fine), though that probably won't make any difference. Sorry :(

I'd second getting Avira over AVG. AVG is no where near as good as it used to be.

I'd recommend downloading HiJackThis and posting the log on here, so someone can check it for you. That often finds quite a few nasty things.

xkcd is still good at times. One of the best has to be 'sandwich' : I also read the Noob and Userfriendly.

I'd say Left 4 Dead, though it doesn't look like any of the campaigns in the game.

At the moment, you won't notice much difference between 4GB and 8GB when gaming. In a couple of years the extra 4GB may be useful but not at the moment. I'd suggest going with 4GB now (and a 64 bit OS so you can use all of it) and then you can always add an extra 4GB later.

Definitely. A lot of stuff can be 'art' and games are no exception.
