  1. There are many better AV's than McAffee. Try something like AVIRA (free) or NOD32 (Pay with 30 day free trial). A HijackThis log should also help if you have a keylogger, just paste it here and someone will be able to check it for you :)
  2. Unless you want to make it a personal project type thing (like one guy who made a completely silent computer) then a fan + heatsink is much much easier :P
  3. If you need something that needs to be fit into a small space that doesn't cost that much then it's a good deal. You could do a lot better though, an 8200M won't perform very well on modern games. I found this on Newegg which looks decent (no screen though). You could build a better value one yourself though I wouldn't recommend this unless you know what your doing, or if you can find someone to help you do it.
  4. Wubi is an excellent way to try out Ubuntu variations of linux, easy to setup and remove (add/remove programs in windows :) ) You need to keep your disk de-fragmented on a regular basis though or it can slow down quite a bit.
  5. What program is the menu from? Your web browser or something else?

    Buy it and hide it?
  7. Age of Kings or Dungeon Keeper 2 are both good older strategy games :)
  8. Are you using the latest version of java and your internet browser?
  9. PC's will get you more bang for your buck hardware wise. You don't necessarily have to have windows either, something like Ubuntu is an excellent free alternative.
  10. For some reason the internet never seems to work on my phone :/ Not that I need it anyway.

  12. 30 achievements. I haven't done that much versus yet though, so I've only one got 1 special infected achievement so far.
  13. You can't really expect help if you got it illegally. For all we know there's probably some code someone put in there that makes it crash beyond a certain date or something.
  14. I lean back all the time, often on 2 legs of my chair. It's not that strange, but leaning is a bad habit I really out to get out of I suppose (that or make a Homer Simpson style chair with 2 extra folding legs :P)
  15. You read my mind. Those and JML adverts.
  16. Far more 'civilians' kill people with guns than people working for the government; so while I wouldn't entirely support a society where only government workers could have firearms (hunting being a good example), imo it'd be better than anyone having the right to bear arms. This is an isolated incident really, I generally believe the police here in the UK do a good job and the same can be said for those in the US.
  17. It's the type of connector on the cable that comes out of the back of the screen that you plug into the computer. It looks like this (the port on your laptop will look like the one in the top right corner): It's not to do with the actual screen itself. (My bad, should have made myself clearer).
  18. Quite easily :P Just for general surfing 1/2 - 1 Meg is still relatively quick.
  19. Very small you say? Have you got it set to the native (maximum) resolution for the screen? If you're not sure, to go dekstop, right click > properties > settings tab and make sure the slider is dragged as far right as it will go. And yes, you can connect any VGA screen up to your laptop and use that instead. You can either use that instead or create a dual monitor setup.

    X3 Renuion/Terran Conflict?
  21. Tbh this is pretty basic level stuff. Also, reasoning with your parents is always the better option (even if you bend the truth a little ).

    Eve Online?

Voice does nothing in most channels. The only real use it has is when channel mode +m (moderated) is set. This means that only people with voice, half-op, and op can talk. Also, what network are you trying to register on? The usual commands are what Errdoth posted, but it does vary sometimes.
  24. :wall: You don't even need Java to look at images. It's most likely a connection problem if it affects both browsers.
