They're the weapons you get by completing the achievements. The levels don't mean anything, apart from all the start weapons are one and the unlockables are higher. The guy you saw would have had the backburner.

Some non M PC games: Portal Command and Conquer. Red Alert 3 is coming out without SecuROM on Steam in January if you don't mind waiting, or you could easily get something like First Decade or Tiberium Wars now. Age of Empires. Anything else listed in this thread.

What about graphics? Do you want to play games/hd on it or not?

Portal is a T (or so says wikipedia). It's a truly excellent game, and there's a lot of free content you can download (map packs, mods etc) once you've finished it. If that's not your thing, then Red Alert 3 is coming out on Steam in January (without Securom) if you can buy stuff on steam and don't mind waiting. CnC: First Decade is also good if you don't mind something a little older.

PCI-E slot: Also, how many watts does your PSU give? If it's a prebuilt computer it probably won't be very high as they only just cover the components contained inside the case. You can easily buy a decent cheap one to upgrade though.

Best you'd get with that is probably SD on lowest. Please don't tell me you've been trying to run HD... EDIT: Try starting SD in safe mode. Pretty sure that sets all options to lowest.

I find it's most annoying on strategy games, I hate having to build up armies and such from scratch again. I remember doing the final battle on Age of Mythology when the power went. My last save was 30 minutes back too :/.

Do you have any kind of firewall/security package which could be blocking RS?

Avira offers much better protection than AVG now, especially since AVG 8 was released.

Are you pressing print screen and pasting to paint or are you using another program to take the screenshot? If you use paint, it should paste as exactly the same size as it would be on screen, and tinypic should allow you to upload it without sizing it down.

Try another image host like tinypic? Photobucket is a [bleep] when it comes to image sizes.

What I meant was, what happens when you try and play? Does it not load? Does it crash while playing? Do the graphics appear messed up? Just by looking at your specs I can't see what the problem is (though I don't know how well P4s do with Vista, though I doubt this is a problem).

http://www.av-comparatives.org/ Notice that AVIRA (free) scores consistently high for speed and detection rating. If you don't mind paying NOD32 is also a good AV package.

Maybe OP isn't keen on Apple's strict DRM? Anyway, I'll doubt you'll find a touch screen mp3 player that's not a phone for anything less than the price of the cheapest Ipod touch. You could always see if you could find a first generation touch going cheaper (only difference is it doesn't have a built in loudspeaker) if you don't mind buying second hand.

I had an X600 and it ran HD rather well, so your X1300 should be able to run it fine. What exactly is the problem when you try and play HD anyway? It might not necessarily be graphics card related.

Finally: Took me a while, medic is now way in front of all other classes in playtime :P

Why didn't you post this in tech and computers? It'll run Half Life 2 fine, you'll probably be able to run pretty much all source games with that setup on highest and still get a nice framerate.
