  1. A laptop. Failing that an mp3 player of some sort, preferably one without Apple's logo on it.
  2. Nope. Best you'd get is a 8600GT, or something like that.
  3. See if you can download HijackThis and post the log on here. As for antivirus, Avira is a much better free av than AVG.
  4. And the video card? You need to click on the display tab. You said default java, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's the latest version. Go to java.com and download the latest version, and see if that helps. Also, please crop your image better next time so that it only shows the dxdiag window. Because it's big, imageshack has scaled down your image making the text hard to read. If you crop it to the window size, this shouldn't happen.
  5. Defraggler - Open sourcedefragmentation software for windows that runs a lot faster than the standard one provided. Also allows you defragment select files. VLC Media player - Open source media player which plays just about every type of media file there is. Firefox - Open source web browser. Much more secure and faster than internet explorer, and you can customize it with loads of free addons and themes. Recuva - Excellent open source file recovery tool. Process Explorer - A more detailed alternative to task manager. Shows process trees, gives a description for most processes and much more.
  6. Valve have released Half Life: Source, however apparently it wasn't that good. Next year, according to the trailer.
  7. I've been following this for a while, though it does look amazing. No wonder why it's taking them so long.
  8. You can have two mice, or a mouse and something else like a drawing pad, but not 2 cursors.
  9. What internet browser you use will no have affect on your connection speed. Also, who voted it best browser of 2007/2008? Anyway, I'd recommend reinstalling it, or use something else like Firefox.
  10. Yes, but how much does it cost?

  13. I think some more information is needed before we can give more help. Specifically: [*:6bzq1ev3]What are your computer's specs? [*:6bzq1ev3]What's your OS? [*:6bzq1ev3]What browser are you using, and what version is it? [*:6bzq1ev3]Have you scanned your computer for malware and found anything suspicious?
  14. Perhaps this may be what you're looking for? The base model doesn't come with an OS. http://www.zepto.com/Shop/Notebook.aspx?notebookid=1075
  15. Look, I've seen this problem before on these forums and in previous cases it wasn't spyware. I'm not saying it's not a possibility, but you can't assume that given so little evidence.
  16. Don't assume that. There are lots of other possible malware things that could be causing them, and not even ad-aware might be able to find them. Anyway, a full HJT log is needed before you do anything else.
  17. I refuse to give any help until you learn to use sentences properly. I really have trouble understanding what your problem is.
  18. Complain, and remind them that it's harassment.
  19. Whoa. Excessive thread bumping? It looks like your boarding has blocked RS, within the past 2 weeks. The only thing you can do is to ask them to unblock it, it's not worth trying to circumvent restrictions.
  20. It's part of McAfee. McAfee is resource intensive, so I'd recommend installer something lighter like Avira (free)/NOD32 (pay, with free trial) if it's causing you problems, both are excellent AV software. And having that many processes running at once won't help either. I'd seriously try cutting down the amount of stuff you run at startup.

    GTA3? I'm literally guessing here >_>
  22. RSHD will always be heavy on the CPU because of the way java works. The only thing I can wrong with that is the extraordinarily high number of processes. Just what else do you have running?
  23. I wouldn't upgrade past 2000, especially with only 256MB Ram. XP uses about 200-300MB (depending what you run) idling, so it'd be asking for trouble.

    Driver 2/3?
  25. Try disabling/removing all addons then re-adding them one by one. That's happened to me before. Post fixed.
