  1. Ok. Go into Tools > Options > Privacy, and make sure that both boxes under cookies are ticked, the drop down box is set 'until they expire', and tip.it isn't added as a exception. Also, when you installed, did you import all settings from IE? Something from there might have affected it. Do you know it's safe?) It's Post Secret........ My Firefox doesn't block it :|
  2. Old version of Compiz fusion, but still looks awesome.
  3. I have Clear Sky but I didn't really like it a great deal. I may try it again though when I get my new pc, my current one can't do the graphics justice.
  4. Creative Zen :
  5. :wall: :wall: Cookies are essential if you want to log in to anything. You need to turn them back on or else you won't be able to log in to anything. Also, you can customise Firefox very easily.
  6. XP. Might try Linux when I have a faster net connection, takes ages to download all the necessary files otherwise.
  7. Super teenage mutant ninja pirate zombie robot transformer viking wizard mutants. Insert extra adjectives as desired.
  8. Spicy curry, particularly Jalfrezi. I can never get enough of the stuff.
  9. Sounds like a pointless thing for playstation fanboys.

    Definitely Guild Wars.
  11. Good free ones: Anti virus: Avira Antivir (You can easily remove the ads with a little searching ;) ) Anti spyware: Ad-Aware Firewall: ZoneAlarm/Comodo
  12. You mind not removing the problem next time and just editing the solution in to show other people how you fixed it? It could be useful to other people having a similar issue.
  13. The problem with your logic is that more and more people are using Windows, especially those who have never used a computer before. Why? Because as much as some people may people may dislike it, Windows is considered the standard operating system by most people, and the same goes IE and Ms Office. Most software targeted at people running at home will only run on Windows, and pretty much all major release games are the same. That doesn't necessary mean it's the best, just what 'most' people consider normal. Even so, Vista may not have had the best reviews, but Windows 7 looks to be quite a bit better.
  14. Give these a try, and let us know if they fix the problem. Update your graphics drivers Update your internet browser Update Java Everything specs wise looks fine though. :) EDIT: Is this full screen HD? You might have the resolution on the settings set to the wrong option. Make sure it's at 1024*768, since that's the resolution of your screen. The OpenGL version may be a problem too, see if you can upgrade that.
  15. Read about this on El Reg ages ago. As much as I dislike Apple stuff, Psystar really screwed up by trying to copy the os and sell it.
  16. The graphics card could be an issue, if it's integrated. It may not be powerful enough to run HD, despite meeting the memory requirements. The only problem is that the manufacturer isn't one I've heard of before, so I have no idea how good the card is. Does it work if you turn all of the settings on HD down?
  17. Only spelling thing I've ever done is the usual school spelling test from primary school (elementary to you yanks), and ones where it's part of a larger series of tests. I generally do fine though I've make the couple of odd slips. But yeah, with modern technology, this will probably become less of an issue.
  18. Something like the tank, hopefully :P
  19. If you aren't sure your best bet is to find someone to do it for you. If you've got a local 'computer guy' type person they'd probably be able to show you how, for a small fee (hopefully).
  20. Have fun trying anything to run with wine  I had a look at the cheapest alienware build, was about £850 D:. The only main thing I could see that was better about it was the card (4850 HD), it didn't even include a screen.
  21. Tried that, I also ran CCleaner and it's still there. Either something is horribly corrupted, or it's malware. Would a so called 'file shredding' tool be able to do it?
  22. I've tried just scanning c:\recycler but it comes up with the same warning. I don't see how safe mode would make a difference. I can't find anything in history that looks suspicious. Everything I look at usually is in bookmarks (all are safe), and the odd thing from a google search. It's possible it's someone else in my family, though I'm more concerned about getting rid of said thing than finding out where it came from though.
  23. Had an epic game on steel today. We all just rushed the final point (E) as scout, and took it in about a minute or so. The enemy team only had 1 sentry there, most of them were at A . EDIT: 1000th post \
  24. OVER 9000millimetres. Supposedly as big as a man though.
  25. It's a shared computer though, which is a problem. I try to avoid any suspicious looking sites, but it's possible someone else in my family could have gotten on to something, though I have no way of finding out what. :|
