Google Chrome
Disregard my previous comment. Google fixed up the EULA so that they no longer claim to own your material. See: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7597699.stm

And buried deep in the T@C's: Another reason why I won't be using chrome.

Why does my runescape look like this?
Got to be a problem with the card most likely then. I suggest you get someone to look at your PC and confirm this though.

Moving Music Folder
As Clare suggested, the crossover cable would be the easiest way to do it; although, if you want to get one, an external hard drive is quite good to. Works like a USB stick, except instead of a small stick of flash memory you have a big hard drive instead. As an example, a 60GB one costs about £35 (About US$60), although you can easily get ones as big as 2TB (1TB = 1024GB) if you want to spend a bit more. Like a usb stick these will draw power from the computer, though the larger ones also tend need to be plugged into a wall socket. It's also useful if you need/want to keep a safe backup for files.

Google Chrome
Looks interesting, especially with the tab processes. However, it's going to be hard to match all of the useful addons Firefox has.

mcafee internet security
I will agree with sbrideau on that one. I've been using Avira Antivir on my desktop now as a replacement for Norton and it's been great. It's even found things Norton didn't pick up, and it uses hardly any system resources. I'm curious to know how good the premium (pay) version is though.

Help with laptop drivers
I'm looking for some drivers for my Dell Latitude D820 laptop, mainly for the webcam and the fingerprint scanner. I went to the dell website, which pointed me to this page: http://support.euro.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=uk&cs=uk... Anyway, it's unclear which is the driver I'm looking for, as there seem to be several for touchstrip alone, and I can't see any for the built in webcam (although there is one clearly built in just under the screen). Am I looking in the right place? I've had problems getting drivers from the dell website before and any help would be much appreciated. Thanks :)

Trackmania Nations Forever! and TMDS!!
I got the free version off steam a while ago now. It's ok, I've made some decent tracks and done some of the medals, but there are other games I'd rather play.

Advice on a college laptop?
Looks like a good choice for what you want to do. You can always save up and buy a proper pc at a later date if you wanted though. @Devnull: I think it's fair to assume he meant UT3. Heck, my laptop only has an onboard gpu and a 2.0Ghz Celeron dual but it runs 2004 fine on near lowest settings.

How to record RS on your PC WITHOUT a watermark! FREE!
Plenty of free screen recorders without watermarks. Google is there to help you find them. Typo corrected

Favourite classic games?
Tetris has to me my favourite classic, and I still play it quite a bit. It's only a simple idea but it works really well imo.

[TF2] It's MANN Vs. Machine!
1. Any with a map with achievement in its name. Bear in mind a lot of these servers are filled with people who just dm. Constantly. 2. By attacking or taunting. Personally I think the updates are good, although I much prefer the other modes to arena. Like the new minigun, but I'm curious to know how much it slows the enemy down. And steel and badwater are great maps :D

Screwy Computer after visiting Site
I don't use ED myself, but knowing how popular it is it shouldn't really give you any spyware (though I can't tell for sure). Like has been said, try a different anti virus/anti spyware. AVG is another good free one. . Also, get rid of Norton asap. Leaving it on your computer will cause you more problems. Best to download the forced removal tool from the symantec website which should remove all traces from your computer.

Firefox Extensions
The ones I'd recommend: Download statusbar: Infinitely useful, I don't know why this isn't a built in feature. As kam said you get a little bar at the bottom of the screen which tells you your speed, download percent, time left for download and more. Page title eraser: Good for hiding page titles if you want a little privacy ;). This used to have a 'hide all titles' option, but it was sadly removed. Gmail Manager: I find this really useful. It sticks a little icon in the bottom right hand corner of you screen telling you how much mail there is in your gmail inbox. Clicking on it opens a new tab with your inbox. It even works with multiple accounts. TabKit: If you open a lot of tabs and want to be able to sort them. Has colour coding, multiple rows of tabs, etc. Some that work with 2 but not 3: Downloads in Tab: Opens the downloads window in a tab. Kind of redundant if you have download statusbar though. Firesomething: Lets you change the Mozilla Firefox to whatever you want. You can have a list of randomly generated names which can be quite funny sometimes (Mozilla Hypnotoad for example :P).

What will this do?
There are plenty of other ways to remove spyware without formatting (blanking) your hardrive. That guy is talking bull and his advice is best ignored.

Just a random useful thingie
I already have CCleaner do this, but nice find.

ATI and Nvidia differances
From experience I found that while ATI cards are usually cheaper than Nvidia, Nvidia cards have better support, and the drivers are less confusing. I've had bad experiences with the catalyst software that ATI offers; it caused crashing problems on several graphically demanding games. What's your budget though, and what's the wattage rating on the psu you're buying? Also, anything that is designed for Direct X 10 should be backwards compatible. I don't think there are any games that only run using Direct3D 10 yet.

Screen 'sharpness'
Problem seems to be rectifying itself day by day as the screen gets less blurry. This can be locked.

Internet Problems
I'd suggest getting a Hijackthis log and posting it on here (or you can use the sites analyser if you want). Chances are that will show what's causing the problem, especially if Kaspersky hasn't found them.

Screen 'sharpness'
I took a look at that but unfortunately, it's greyed out: I'm beginning to suspect the problem may be to do with anti aliasing, although I'm not 100% sure.

Screen 'sharpness'
I always have the resolution set to 1280*1024, or as close to that as any application, though mainly games, will allow. It's not just games though, it's on the desktop as well.

Screen 'sharpness'
I've recently installed and been using my new Nvidia Geforce 8600GT graphics card with great results. All my games now run on highest settings, and with a high frame rate. However, the picture on my screen is no longer as sharp as it used to be. Kind of hard to describe because screenshots don't work for this, but it's a similar problem when you set a high resolution screen to a lower resolution than it is designed for (Eg, using 1024*768 on a screen which supports 1280*1024). Some of the pixels around text seem to be blurred. Changing the refresh rate hasn't made any difference. Any way I can fix this? Specs: Nvidia Geforce 8600GT 512MB 19" flat panel VGA connector, using 1280*1024 (Maximum resolution).

Irc connection help
Okay. There are two other things I can think of. The first is that you could have some malware which is blocking you from accessing IRC. I'd reccomend you update your anti virus and do a scan. If it helps, get a Hijackthis log, and post it here so someone can help. The other thing (and probably very unlikely) is that your ISP maybe blocking IRC for some reason. If so, you're going to have to contact and ask why, because they shouldn't really have any reason to do so, unless you're connected to a proxy or similar. The first suggestion is much more likely than this.
