Nah just mage, I bring the range equipment for when I accidentally get prime on me lol. I'll probably make yaks when I resume summoning. Finished up the task with a second trip, stayed 2k casts and over 4 hours this time. Since I wasn't on task the whole time I don't know exactly how many I killed but it was probably a lot :P Could have stayed longer but I ran out of casts lol >.< Then I did a couple more tasks and got this :D

26th November 2008 - While Guthix Sleeps
Does Verac's effect hit through the fire shield too? You can hit, but it will be very rare, and through the fire shield very low. Switching attack styles is much much faster.

One year has passed !
Runescape has definitely improved greatly in terms of content this past year, and Jagex has largely made up for the massive restrictions imposed in order to stop real world trading. It still exists, but it is so much less prevalent than it used to be. My only dissatisfactions are from the failure to provide a true replacement for player-vs-player, and the ways in which the Grand Exchange has hurt the economy. Bounty Hunter is profitable when you do it right, but it has very little in common with the old wilderness. Player-vs-player servers are very similar but it's near impossible to turn a profit - in order to get good drops, you must spend a long time standing around in hot zones, die often, and not get more than a few kills each hour. The Grand Exchange revolutionized trading but also made some items impossible to sell, and others impossible to buy because the prices are incorrect, or don't move quickly enough, resulting in the convoluted and far from ideal world of junk trading seen today. Having an official, defined "price" also makes people much more panicky about the items they own, and the chronic cycle of price manipulation of almost every expensive item in the game is annoying to say the least.

ways of maximizing inventory space in gwd
think of it this way - the most valuable gem is about equivalent to 1 adamant bar. they aren't worth keeping. chiselling is quite slow and will lower your xp and gp/hr. Since the runes stack and don't really take any time to pick up, go ahead and take them - but also don't hesitate to drop any elemental runes if you need the space. in general, don't be afraid of wasting bones to peaches tabs though - they're quite cheap, it's fine to have to cast it frequently

SC: Don't you just love the noobs?
So you basically love killing lower levels and making the game frustrating and annoying for everyone on the other team? It's people like you who barrage in groups make the game seem far from fun and aggravating. The stupid thing is as soon as we actually steel your runes you go flaming back at us insulting our noobish thieving tactics when it's the only way to actually stop you. And unlike you many of us don't think it's fun to make others mad. Let's face it, ice barrage is really fun. So is killing people - much more so than watching your character stand in front of a nest catching butterflies. The only worthwhile reward from the game is the tools, of which you can only buy 1/game. As long as you get 20k points/game (which is entirely possible by killing people, and then some if you deposit your equipment at the end) there's no reason to skill and get more points unless for some perverse reason you find it more fun than using some of the best combat equipment in the game and casting free ice barrages. If someone steals my runes, I kill them with my dagger and then go make more runes - I don't complain. In repayment I ask that you don't whine when I play the game that Jagex made for us.

Behind the Scenes December
After the last couple months these updates certainly seem a bit less exciting. Nothing I'm dying to try out but it seems decent enough. No sequel to While Guthix Sleeps though :P

How much longer until the next great cape?
The only bonus they have is a few extra points of prayer. firecape has additional defensive, accuracy and strength bonuses. Would be more fun if true. Skill capes have a very good defense bonus. I also find prayer much more useful, since I don't like wasting prayer pots or having shortened slayer trips. Fire capes have +1 to all attacks (skill capes 0), +11 to all defenses (skill capes +9), +4 to strength (skill capes 0), and +2 to prayer (trimmed skill capes +4). I'd say +1 attack, +2 defense, and +4 strength is worth the -2 prayer, which will be almost negligible. The strength on the fire cape will boost every hit by about 1 damage, which adds up very quickly. The only problem is that it takes actual skills to get, not just a lot of playing time. For this reason I think Jagex will leave it at the top for a long time - when they created it they meant for it to be the cape to end all capes, RS has just outgrown it.

Thanks everyone :P I lost the game again. @Thingy, I would most definitely not, because you need 75 attack to use them lol. On the bright side that's not too difficult to get so if you do, sure. Had a more successful task for screenshots... No bows, nor did I get a whip from the abyssal demon task. In fact, I'm pretty sure I've killed 1k+ of each since my last drop (I've never gotten a bow :(). Slayer ftw lol. Since I'm poor atm I decided to do my dagannoth task the pro way, which paid off. Realized towards the end that I'd totally forgotten I am 96 summoning and own a pack yak, haha. Could have made a good deal by banking the bones. Oh well, got about 1k prayer ranks going from 13034k to 13043k xp instead. :P

Tip.It Times Presents: The Clue Conundrum
Considering that an average clue gives me the same gp as 1 trip to the astral altar crafting runes I don't do them anymore. :|

if you two were actually arguing I would intermediate but you aren't :< good luck 3pm, I hope I answered your question sufficiently in-game decided to buy a new toy :P best hit so far = 57, didn't get a screenshot though :( I'll try and get some impressive hits up eventually lol I know I'm guaranteed to lose money on it, but it's just such a cool weapon that I've been wanting forever that I couldn't resist now that there's nothing else I really want atm (I assume by the time I have the charms for 99 summoning banked I will have profited enough from slayer to pay for the shards and seconds). Besides that there isn't anything in this game that I want that costs money. I lost the game. Here's one I did get, the task was whipless as usual.

Tormented Demon - Drop list?
Or you could just turn another bullseye lantern into a sapphire lantern lol

Lucien: more powerfull than a god?
The Dragonkin, and Zaros have the power and the motivation to do it - given the context of the recent quest I'd say it's very likely the dragonkin

Dragonkin
It's a pretty nice pic.

Dragon - Taking A New Turn?
If Jagex wants reasonably priced dragon armor they will have to make it easier to get - it has become such an iconic part of RS that there will be great demand for anything that can't be bought from a shop. An item that must be made from 3 other items, attainable only by doing the hardest quest in the game or killing many level 450 demons that use every attack style and protection prayers is going to be very expensive. I agree that in terms of stats dragon is pretty inferior to the alternatives (and repairing barrows doesn't cost nearly enough to make the massive bonuses not worth it). The trouble is, making currently existing armors easier to get would make them crash and be pretty unfair to the people who have them. And there aren't that many more pieces to release. I think it would be completely reasonable to make those items easier to get when/if they are released though. It's all about whether jagex wants dragon armor to be a status symbol or a practical armor.

Etp's Amazing Bloggy! ~TONS OF STUFF ADDED! P.129~

26th November 2008 - While Guthix Sleeps
The best junk-making I know of is about 1m/hour... it largely depends on updates. Chiseling granite was extraordinary while it lasted. Currently I'd say go make natures. :P

o thanks Here's my set SirHartlar, in case you haven't figured out the strategy yet, range the demons until they pray range, then hit them with silverlight/darklight (keep going until you damage them with it and get a message), then attack them with whatever style they aren't praying against (I alternate melee & range). When they recover from the darklight/silverlight effect, take it from the top. Repeat until demon is dead. You also have to maneuver them so that only 1 is on you or you are screwed lol. Killed quite a few today and did a dark beast task, no luck anywhere. :( I plan to kill a ton more still though. @Ante - It is whatever you want it to be. :) @Abe803 - They really aren't that common, I just got really lucky lol. Currently it looks like they're about berserker-ring-rare. @etpelletier - Quests ftw! Tormented demons are level 450.

Saradomin, what do we actually know?
The Stone of Jas was on top of a pillar of stone in the temple as well. I got the impression he did find it there. Does anyone have a screenshot?

Saradomin, what do we actually know?
Wasn't Zaros a god of infinite evil lol.

Another one and I've got my SGS lol.

Saradomin, what do we actually know?
He was the primitive human mentioned in Moravio's notes; I can't remember his name but it started with V. I suppose it's possible, if it originally belonged to guthix it must have acquired the name 'eye of saradomin' from somewhere
