07-Sep-10 Elite Diaries!
An egregious misunderstanding of economics. Merchanting involves buying items from players who don't need them and are willing to take a small loss to sell quickly, then selling them to players who need them now and are wiling to pay a premium to do so. Nobody is getting swindled. ^ this. merchanting keeps the economy fluid, as there will always be demand if you're willing to go low enough, or supply if you go high enough. if everyone just bought and sold for keeps, the economy would actually be ruined

assist clan is lol for having rules anyways, it isn't closed. their wonderful moderators are taking a well deserved break; the temporary cc is 'assistclan' for those not interested in using other ccs.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
obtaurian posted that. assuming that (1) he posted it (this is verifiable by viewing page 52) and that (2) what people post is what they view (sarcasm is more difficult to detect on the internet but in this instance I believe obtaurian was being serious), obtaurian's view is that an unproven claim is untrue. it has been stated that tormented demons are weak to stab, however this is unproven. since it is unproven, it is therefore untrue in obtaurian's eyes, making my post relevant anyways, I don't think there is anyone on this topic who would post saying that TDs are not weak to stab, and many who would post saying that they are. knowledge isn't democratic, but considering the fact that these forums have a fairly high concentration of people who know what they are talking about, I think it's safe to say TDs are weak to stab which is what matters

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
I'm not sure what logic goes into saying that something is false until it's proven, but it doesn't sound terribly sound to me. I've heard from enough people over time (from first-hand experiences) that TDs are weak to stab to find his position (that TDs are weak to stab) considerably more credible than your position, that TDs are not weak to stab because all statements are false until incontrovertible evidence in their favor is provided.

Big Brother Is Watching
Because I have been playing Runescape for far too long, I instantly remembered one of the worst updates in the history of Runescape. I have no idea what year this happened, but Jagex released a filter in the game, making it so you could only say certain words: game related words. For example, when one of my friends would try to say my name, "jacob" would turn into "bacon." Thus, the wonderful private message, "How are you doing today Bacon?" The update caused an uproar. Rs was a much smaller community back then, and the person to person interaction was absolutely crucial in regards to the success of the game. wait, what?

[Video Dev Blog] Dungeoneering
spending 30 mins in a dung and getting 100k = 200k xp/h, either ur logic or your math is off bud but spending 1 hour and 30 mins doing a dung, regardless of how much of that time is actually spent inside it = 67k xp/hr but i just said i spent 30 minutes doing the dung, i never spent 1h 30 mins inside the dung like I said, it depends on whether you have something to do while you wait. if you're doing nothing but sitting in the lobby the whole hour you wait for a team, the dung effectively takes 1h30

[Video Dev Blog] Dungeoneering
At 117 a team is found within...2 minutes. If you know what you're doing, where to stand and what to shout (wearing a dg cape helps too) Plus, if you key, which I'd say everyone "serious about the skill" should know how to do and often want to do, then the teams are more or less based upon your ability to lead and make people do what you want. In my experience on other worlds, such as 77, it takes several minutes to get a team if not more, then they're full of pompous people that think they're so good at the skill that if the start's slow they can just quit a dungeon and waste everyone's time. I got 99 at W117, and would do so again. ON TOPIC: I'm very interested to see this video and hope for many more to come, I'd like to be a conceptual design artist when I'm older, so any insight into how those at Jagex work is very welcome indeed. it doesnt matter how long it takes you to find a team, the only thing that affects ur dung xp/h is the time the actual dung takes even 1h to find a team that takes 30 mins is better thant takign 1 minute to find a team that takes 1h, but 77 + cc takes 5 mins usualy only if you aren't 99 herb, fletch, and crafting (as will soon be the case for me) anyways, the majority of the people in DGE worth playing with don't go to 77 anymore my method is do chores until a perm team needs to fill a gap and then insert myself

[Video Dev Blog] Dungeoneering
Naturaly they are going to say that as its the official Dungeoneering world. naturally they are going to make the dungeoneering clan Dungeoneering Elites' first dungeoneering world the official world, as the players had to organize their own dungeoneering, as they are having to organize their own conquest worlds. then naturally, they will only make it the official dungeoneering world, months after the release of the skill, at a point in time where the world no longer produces good teams, but just many teams to such an extent that the whole server just lags. hmm... ;) so the problem here is that they didn't list 117 as the official world soon enough for you?

DevBlog - Elite Tasks - Development
Wilderness Please. :P All armor lately looks like Dungeoneering items imo. The set didnt look half bad, but I still like bandos's look more. if by 'like Dungeoneering items' you mean 'detailed' lol I guess I'm a bit more excited for the elite diaries now, although the rewards jagex mentioned don't really sound as good as the ardougne one

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
Gold doesn't exactly have a constant limited supply. Though there is a finite amount of gold on Earth, it has not all been mined and so the price still fluctuates in relation to the speed that new gold enters the system. Just saying, it's not the best real world example because as far as investment goes, the price of gold changes for different reasons the the price of Runescape rares does. A better example might be the stamp collector who gets his hands on rare, out-of-print stamps with the intention of trading them or just to have them for personal reasons. funny my impression is that merchants buy them to rwt lol

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
In theory, slower, but the degrading mostly depends on how many monsters you are killing at once- for example, the rapier wouldn't last 5 hours at lighthouse dagannoths, but would last extremely long(~50 hours) at low hp monsters like greater demons. For me, a rapier lasts for around 900k slayer xp(only tasks with rapier counted, using it on every task). 9th charge going right now... wait, so what you're saying is that fighting 2 monsters simultaneously for 1 minute = 2 minutes of combat for chaotic weapon purposes?
