  1. Because they purposely did it? It was suppose to be a "fix", but many people preferred it the previous way. (though, clicking from right to left offers less delay) I feel kind of bad for saying this, but I miss the days of the old tabless but absolutely 0 delay bank setup
  2. I find your concentration of lol disturbing
  3. 1. 4 strength now means more than it ever did, because when you multiply it by 500% it is 20 strength. 2. strength saves you hours in the long run. and do you know what I really like having? HOURS!
  4. lol I bet chris gets the next one too
  5. ... by definition if there is a probability (say, 10%), then yes, there is a drop rate that they trend towards. that being 10%. your entirely semantics based argument doesn't make any sense. Junk trading is not againts the spirit of the game. Please elaborate how it is. Junk trading is just like currency exchange. Nothing can be traded for more or less than what the G.E makes it. Trade price always reflects G.E price. You ignore the game's given prices. You defeat the purpose of a part of the game. Jagex has stated that they have no problem whatsoever with the junk market, citing that they are glad it gives the various junk items a use lol. Also, junk trading has absolutely nothing to do with defying the prices that jagex has assigned to items. It simply involves replacing some of the gold in a transaction with a less desirable item (junk) to make up for the fact that a player is buying an undesirable item. Or alternatively, trading gold for a highly desirable item, and making it fair by purchasing undesirable items as well.
  6. People have been saying that scape is at death's door for a whole lot of years lol. My guess is that Jagex will not consider scaling back their primary source of revenue until they have a bigger source of revenue, and runescape's profits have begun to taper off. I see no logical reason for that to happen; the game has a larger player base now than it ever has before. To make it die anything other than a slow, visible from years ahead, decline, would require a massive and sudden change in the gaming market.
  7. Jagex isn't removing the 99 level cap lol. It just doesn't make sense as it would piss off almost everyone who isn't max total.
  8. anyone seen that island before
  9. But shouldn't you be using the abyssal whip then if you really into speed???? I'm sure they hit a lot higher than d claws. ... Considering you just mastered TD luring... I doubt you know... First of all, whip sucks there. Zammy spear on crush is like 4 times better, and that's when whip has rune defender with it. I can count on my hands how many times my D Claws have hit under 500, and that includes my "01s". Also, SGS doesn't speed up kills at TDs, which is what everyone aims to do. Speed is what matters with fast banking. Sorry for the off topic post but is a z spear + claws better than using a bgs + claws at tormented demons? No. I use BGS + Claws and it's beastly. Zammy Spear + Claws is just better than Whip + Claws. Getting around 35 kills/hour with current gear. I didn't know TDs are weak to crush. I think it's pretty certain that SGS is worth it when you're using a steel titan there though. :P
  10. All skills getting better training methods in the next couple kills : likely. All skills being as fast as cooking and firemaking are these days in a couple years : highly unlikely. Look at slayer, in 4 years it went from a 12-13k per hour max to 18-25K per hour max on average with the new equipment. That's doubling previous standards, but nowhere near the rates you can get with the fastest skills. if you are maxed and want to you can average at least 30k xp/hr slaying; I think it's a trend that may continue
  11. I use the SGS primarily because I use the steel titan for most of my tasks, so I can't just yip/uni spam. For a lot of the higher damage tasks, particularly nechs and waterfiends, until soul split SGS was really the only way to do the task in one (or two with waterfiends L) trip. Now with soul split I guess I could use a dds instead, but when you're hitting in the 50s every other whip attack, and the best dds specs are like 35-35, it doesn't really seem to be all that worth it. SGS saves prayer points from soul split, gives you free prayer points, and of course the healing. IMO enchanted excalibur is just a welfare option; it doesn't heal nearly as much if you're 120 strength and turmoiling and on task lol. Soul split also doesn't work on multicombat waterfiends very well because they do quite a bit of damage if you aren't protecting from range. I used food before soul split for tasks SGS didn't keep me up on alone, and still do for waterfiends, but really it is just a huge pain to lose that much inventory space. So is it easily possible to get by without SGS? Yes. Does the SGS serve some functions which no other weapon/effect does? Yes. If you have the money it's definitely worth it, really I think everyone should have a godsword just because they're so fun, and SGS is just the best IMO. Also I don't worry about losing money; I paid 36M for mine :P
  12. well the fact of the matter is that there has been no update of a greater magnitude than fish flingers since february 8 lol
  13. hey guys this might be the easter update
  14. about the most hi tech I get is using that firefox split panel add-on lol. then i read books while afking, old school ftw
  15. crowds don't really impact the speed of fishing
  16. well it depends on your levels I guess, if you've gone you probably have a better sense than I could lol. all I can say is once you hit 88 summoning it gets very easy, and at 96 it gets a bit harder because rex always spawns on you while you're running around picking up bones and hides to bank. here's a sample of the limited scaping i've been up to (some slayer) some other stuff had fun on super xp weekend also did some smithing will probably get 92 in that before too long, then I did some trees for 85 farming and got 84 crafting and like 1.7m summoning xp. cool beans.
  17. well theory is one thing, but reality is another. bandos is very easy and so worlds are always hard to find. but really, that's the only place where I see a serious problem. armadyl worlds take a bit of hopping, but usually finding a world doesn't take more than 10-15 minutes. it is true that unless you're high level you'll be liable to crashing though. but same deal as bandos really, it isn't surprising that the boss with the best drop apart from corp has some crowds. speaking of corp, I've never had trouble finding a corp world. saradomin takes less hopping than arma and I was only crashed there once back during the safespot days. and zamorak... let's just say it's a pretty rare occurrence to see a team there. dks take like 5 minutes of hopping, though again you'll want some anticrash measures. and I've never had trouble finding a TD world, or with being crashed. I'd be happy to see a solution these problems, which certainly do exist, but I don't think they're severe enough to merit crashing the items dropped by all these things. if jagex made every drop untradable it would sure lower the number of crowds too, because then there wouldn't be a point for a lot of people. money is what brings people to bosses, and something that increases supply so much would surely undermine that. basically, what your proposition would do is make it easy for people to get what they want, which is nice but it isn't exactly the purpose of a MMO. if jagex made every weekend a super xp weekend, lots of people would get the levels they want and be happy, but there's no question it would be a terrible decision for the future of the game. I think that situation applies here - making it easy for everyone will devalue everything too much.
  18. man grinding make-x skills is boring even when you're getting really fast xp, L getting 84 and 85 farming in the same run was fun though
  19. 96 herb and 92 smithing banked, got several thousand random battlestaffs lying around too. also planted my 5 palms 5 magics spirit and calquat tree. once I'm done with all that I'll probably go shattered heart hunting lol guess i could rank hunt for summon as well
