idk about imbued rings but none of those other things are. I don't understand the orgie of hate occuring around this quest. People say that it doesn't live up to the standard of GM quests even though there is only 1 other GM quest in the game. Other people say that it's too hard and Jagex are neglecting anyone who doesn't no-life rs, even though making the boss any easier would be neglecting people who um... do no-life rs apparently. There has literally never been a quest boss before this one that I had to think for more than 1 minute about how I would kill. As for the difficulty, I ripped Nomad and the most expensive item I used was a helm of neitiznot. It isn't a super duper omfg quest like WGS was, but it was enjoyable and the boss fight was exciting for me. So let's stop the complaining about how we can't wear our quest cape anymore (and yes it is still called a quest cape, not whatever stupid [wagon] name you are making up for it to support your unwarranted complaints).

agreed. it looks like unless i manage to get 92 prayer, or get absurdly lucky with ruby bolts (Blowing mills on Brews in the process) I wont be doing this anytime soon, unless a cheaper soultion is found... Tis a shame, the huge prayer bonus of the cape would have been nice. you could do it with a tort and melee pretty easily. soul split isn't required at all (i did without), and it only adds up to about 6 brews anyways. just remember your magic def

overloads + ruby bolts + yak of brews > nomad, took 1 try lol. used dat pro black d hide and eagle eye too :P do you figure his master is zamorak or zaros? considering that there was what I think was an elite black knight suggests zamorak, but as far as I know he isn't really doing anything whereas zaros is very active atm which would suggest otherwie

You do get extra boost just not as much as if the other player/monster has 99 att/str. Either way at waterfiends it's still a higher boost than piety. I think wf has 1 attack 1 strength, so turmoil is worse there. turmoil is worse than piety against 1 att/str things lol, but I use it anyways cos i cba getting off and waterfiends dont have all that much def anyways (att is the only thing that is worse). leech is very effective with large teams against bosses because it helps everyone. I only really use normals for tds because you cant switch to turmoil quickly and curses lack an effective range booster. i just use turmoil for every slayer task now L

it's valid but not too useful in pvp. i mean, if you have 99 you might as well use a steel for the def boost lol, but it is less decisive that an equal amount of combat levels in a more directly combat-related skill. prayer is, of course, extremely decisive if you get 95

Well it looks like we will, in fact, be getting updates in 2010. I remember jagex mentioned their plans for a combat rebalance sometime... perhaps the new skill could involve that (maybe introducing a system somewhat similar to the accuracy/strength idea behind melee combat to range/mage)?

There's no real reason for them to change it though seeing as how it doesn't really affect anyone. (Although I might be mistaken) They have done nothing about any other aspects of the junk market, and have in fact stated that they approve of it. Paranoid much lol?

My feeling is that there will be an awful lot of power released in the Ritual, especially with Lucien there... perhaps enough power to restore a weakened Zaros to godhood

Most serious slayers use zerker rings over wealth, needless to say the massively superior ferocious ring is also superior :P in my opinion, slayer is just an xp thing, not a gp thing. sure whips and bows are nice, increasing your drop rate by maybe a few % isn't worth losing the across the board boost from ferocious ring (don't forget, killing 2.5% more demons is just as good as increasing the drop rate by 2.5%, and I'd say the ring boosts kills/hr by more than wealth boosts drop rate)

I disagree with the restriction on the minigame one... why play a game if you can't do it with your friends

hullo and merry christmas. did a random possibly accurate bob soloed lump learned to juggle godswords got a hunter level I was 8k off for a long time terminated the tormented demon race :< herbed and had a strange conversation with a guy who had been a pretty good friend until now, idk where we are after this lol. he pm'd me and asked why I was scaping on the lord's day (this was before midnight on the 24th too) [hide] he went onto talk about how the japanese took us by surprise at pearl harbor and how it's going to happen again :/ it's unfortunate that some people actually think like that. I asked him if he was joking at some point and by his reaction I'd guess he wasn't. strange[/hide]

Yeah curses are basically awesome except for several situations (if you want to boost mage/range, or give a lower than turmoil boost to a melee stat, or rapidly switch between melee and anything else) the leeches drain pretty fast so it's pretty impractical to use them as a regular boost prayer

went to corp and got 2 spirit shields lol then went dking with cav, this time we got 2 attempted crashers and a zerker in 4 minutes lol. cav had to go halfway through though so we didn't finish the new axe balmung (or balamar, balfadung, or balmindon if you are cav) is pretty good, probs fastest weapon to kill sup all this yakking made me go omg im out of yak scrolls so i did some summoning, managed to hold onto the top 200 and got this lol then finally finished this stupid goal not sure what's next, might try and get a good MA rank so i can use good but welfare rings at corp, but MA is boring so I also might just monsterhunt/slay. or skill but i doubt that. good story yes?

Whoever said turmoil can boost 30% clearly does not have 95 prayer. The max is 29/32/29. most of the monsters with levels I'd be interested in knowing wouldn't be determinable though :P

It has long been my goal to achieve the legendary 99-trio of cooking, fletching, and firemaking. I began this journey many years ago by buying willow logs from the lumbridge general store and then burning them. Eventually I bought maple logs from players and burned those instead. Thus, I achieved my first 99 in the game of runescape. I then boldly went where no man had gone before, cooking raw lobsters into lobsters, and when I became more and more ambitious, raw sharks into sharks. I read A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court and also achieved my second 99. At the sheer overwhelmingness of this achievement, I decided that my odyssey toward the ultimate 99 trio would require a short break, so I maxed combat and slayer. But now I have returned, fletching approximately 1 million adamant bolts while running from the moonclan bank to the astral altar producing astral runes for pkers to lose, in the process achieving my 12th 99: somewhere between 85k and 86k-th to this achievement. next i will be finishing 90 runecrafting and then idk what but it won't be more runecrafting.
