After a awsome cutscene where Lucien will laugh at you and you do nothing you will be hit in the head by Lucien 7. Using your 99 theiving you picklock the prison and kill the lvl 28 guard 8. you escape the wildernes being folowed by "lvl 232 fired customer support demon" 9. you escape when you realise they have such low AI 10. wooy congrats you have completed another xmas quest within 20mins of it being released! reward: a daily distraction and diversion! cause all of a sudden we want to be like Blizzard and offer daily quests!

wow that has really done my head in after reading that. i remember when the runescape highscores first came out and i was freaking out people had over 100mill xp. i was the no. 2344 person to acheive 99 fletching-- now it is even anything special! This just shows the following: 1. Players are finding m0ore efficeint ways to train skills \ 2. Jagex is realising more new content giving faster xp in skills :P 3. Players are playing more roooonscape :thumbdown: 4. Old players such as me are going to inevtaibly get all skills 99 because of the fact we been roooonscaping for so long. 5. Skillcapes have made a generation of players obsessed with 99 in a stat so they can tell there friends at scoool =D> thats my 2cents anyways, sure i could be wrong. but i am just so suprised!!!! whattT!!! someone has over 1.3bill xp! it took me 7 years to get my 216m+ xp... zomg! that player really loves "roonscapeee"

This thread is comparing apples with oranges. This is how it should be compared. There are the bandos armours: top, legs and boots The three dragon armours comparable to it: plate, plateges and dboots. All the other items, eg slayer helm vs dragon full are not part of the equasion. Here is my opinion: barrows armour: great for mid-high level players (80-110) it is great bang for buck and players will find they will be saving more in food if they were wearing eg. rooonnn dragon armour:this is prehistoric junk from rsc. This armour is the domain of the player who does not care about defence bonus, but cares more about looks- however dragon skirts are faily good value. Bandos armour: This amrour is great at 110+, at this stage of runescape you will have probably done some quests/minigames unlocking higher end content.. eg barrows gloves, skill capes, fire capes... with these better items in mind you will find yourself being hit far far less during slayer tasks. i am level 136, this is my current settup: Helm: Slayer Helm- has the defence of a rune large and the 15% atk and str and scroll abilty makes it clear no1 Amulet: Fury- King of the Amulets, I do all my slayer tasks using mele so it is very good Weapon:Whip- Since getting hacked 22 Sept 2008, I do not have the finances for my old SGS. Whip will have to do Shield: Rune Defender- I personally prefer rune defender over DFS as I value killing monesters faster PLatebody: Bandos PLate- Offers high defence bonus, the str bonus is great Legs: Bandos Legs- Same as plate. I only just bought the legs, prior i was wearing dharok legs Boots: Dragon Boots- Far better than bandos boots cause of the str bonus. also bandos boots are very heavy Ring: Slayer Ring- Even though it has no str bonus i have 1 more inventory space, and i cant afford anything better Cape: Fire Cape- atk,str,madssive defence bonus... what else could i want... i like it more than my 14 acheviment capes. *So thats my current slayer gear, after strating from my hacked account late December. (not bad riches if you ask me) Sure if I had 500m+ I would use a SGS or a whip/elysian shield combo. I would probably still stick with the slayer ring other than a beserker/warrior due to conveniance.

hmm. to be honest yes, it does look cleaner and flashy. but to me the thing that atracted me to runescape was the quirky graphics that set it apart from other mmorpgs. i loved the old school HP bar, its :"cute" and one of the only things that hasnt really changed. To me little graphical updates like this, while helpful just mean less resources spent on customer support. Dont get me wrong, like i dont want to come across as a troll, (even though im sure im going to be flamed) but i just think that there are things so much more important that need to be fixed. On the 22/September 2008 my main account, king giovas was hacked by some sad sad child. The account had a net of around 600m, (540m cash alone) After I was hacked I had a break till late December and I started playing again. Because I had no money I had to re-evaluate my goals I had planned. No more 99cons, 99herb, 99farming for me... ..i decided to complete all the quests in runescape! you got no idea how much the dragon shard and set of dagon hai robes and black elite armour helped me financially~ Now that I have finished all the quests in Runescape I am working on just casually training my slayer. I still collect the charms, even though I no longer have the funds to train summon yet. and I do miss my old SGS.... ahhh anyways, im slowly building my wealth back up, however i would love to also become unmuted again... grah hacker.

why would you need so much xp per day... im maxed out combat and use p[rayer and cannon, i wont get over 50k xp a day. i like the sun 2 much. but if you want 200k xp a day= just no life and you will get there.

My own personal favorite character would have to be Safalaan Hollow. He is one of the main characters in the Myreque series. The fact that there is strong evidence suggesting he is an Icyene makes him even more cool. He also has bright, Icyene like blue eyes.... hmm anyways he is defiantly the char i want to learn more about! How about other tip.it users? who is your favourite quest NPC> which NPC do you want to learn more about/ see there charactar built upon. thats about it, in closing i thought i would also add this. In a postbag from the hedge Duradel states that he has claws greater than rune that even scares Vanakka in combat, its kind of funny that Duradel dies in the same quest that releases dragon claws.

I honestly think it will be an extension of WGS when i think about it, there are soo many hanging storylines i want finished, eg temple knights, white knights, mourning series. quest 150 IMO should build upon WGS, finish up storylines and give 10m summon xp.,

Even thought they cant code it out as a 3D sphere it is still very possible to make runescape round. Lets be creative here. After walking past "easternmost zone3" it loads back to "westermost zone1" a good way to do this would be through going through an underground ladder, going through a the dungeon plane then comming back up another ladder. :) Another way to do it would be via a teleport device. eg. mule/ boat "you board the dessert caravan and arrive in location ____" interestingly enough runescape HD has 6 layers. water bed are there own layer technically. if you dont beleive me read the dev. diary.

I was never a big fan of slayer. When smoking kills came out I fell in love with the skill. Unfortnatly i was already maxed out in melle. I at the time was 82 range and 68slayer. I did a few tasks with range, as i thought it would be a good idea to train range with slayer. However it was farr to slow. So what i am doing is: im almost 87 slayer, i train slayer using my maxed out mele and i also use a cannon, this is best in life

i got no problem with it, made me over 1bill in 2008, and that was all solo merching. 10mins a day for 10m + turnover

Josh, I never said it was my fault at all for getting hacked. IN seven years getting hacked one time, is terrible... but hey... for seven years I had a pretty good run eh? And no this is not under rants, its not me having a little cry, i actually have alot of good things that i am planning on saying too jagex too. Now dont get angry, or well..well nothing i dont really care what your reaction to this is: "Runescape is like a pretty girl that your taking on your first date in your mitsabishi magna and Jagex is the mean stepdad that wants to keep her little girl safe at home, you think to yourself how could some one so mean bring up something to pretty." Did you read the title? Yeah it has the word veteran in it. Does it sound like im up myself? Yeah it does. But it also shows that i have a huge knowledge and skill in this game. Since I started in 2001 picking bannanas in Karamja for 30GPs for a steel fullhelm I have gone along way. I have seen my weak little "king giovas" make full iron I have seen my weak little "king giovas" slay elvarg the dragon amd wear a rune platebody I have seen my weak little "king giovas" become level 80 and become a member and wield a whip I have seen my weak little "king giovas" get 99 fletching I have seen my weak little "king giovas" max out combat I have seen my weak little "king giovas" spend 400m on skills and have another 500m in cash I have seen my weak little "king giovas" become not so weak and little. Zero items, not able to talk to friends..I ask myself if I should start over again.... on one hand I can talk again... but on the other it will take a long time to get over 200m xp..hmm. wow the structure of my writing is terrible so ill just try and speed this up.[/hide] Section II: [FORUMS][hide=]Jagex. You have created a great game. Really you should be proud of how far Runescape has gone since 2001. What is not great is you policy in regards to customer support, your forums and your highly flawed banning system. Lets start with the forums: 1. The Runscape forrums have a three strike policy. Now before I was banned I had a 10k post count on the runscape forums. Most were in the runescape general forum, so dont think the post count was due to mindless "bump" in "discounitued items forum etc. Now in 10k posts, making three mistakes is not enough chances at all really. In one general thread the thread was titled "What is your chars background" I answered with... "My charactar is greek... woowoo greek pride", 5minutes later I was given my final black mark....the reason was that a forum mod claimed i was being rascist. -1 2. Yes this is laughable. I think the other two black marks were given for pretty much no reason at all. The only thing i was upset with was that i could not monitor how one of my threads in the runescape classic general forum was going. When your banned you cant view forums, so you need to log out... When you are not logged in,, you cannot view classic forums... JAGEX WHATS THE HARM OF MAKING CLASSIC FORUM VIEWABLE BY EVERYONE! *Note: The thread is called "I think we should have a blue crown".. if anyone has acces to the Runescape classic forums it would be awsome if you could hunt it down.. it is actually quite a popular thread. Please tell me how it is going,,, maybe even a screenshot? :) -1 3. The runescape forums only show one space. Do this. Look up king giovas.... now look him up again with two spaces... very diferent stats yes? This is because my king giovas (with 1 space) got hacked the day RS2 cameout. Jagex lets stop working on putting penguins in runescape and maybe fix up problems with usernames. -1 4. This is not all doom and gloom. Even though i am muted i still have a voice... YES! i can still vote in official poles :) The latest pole was about the runescape forums. This pole actually got me pretty excited, and if Jagex employ things such as signatures, image of their avatar and other goodies they are really going to improve their forums. +1 5. I think that it is great that jagex created forum mods, they do work wonders at cleaning up the runescape forums. However they too are human, and sometimes it is common to experience a kind of "mod fever" where forum mods get really touchy especially at night i find. Also most players treat forum mods better, this i do not like. A green background generates the same respect on the forums to maybe a level 138 in game...."all hail the mighty 138 he is god" -1 6. Jagex staff are not all on the same code of conduct. eg. I have noticed players getting there posts hidden for talking about topics such as the jagex youtube channel. How can a police man police without a knowledge of the law -1 7. If your forum mark system is not perfect why sohuld 3 black marks be perm?[/hide] Section III: [banning System] [hide=]For most companies, it is widely accepted to go by the motto "customer is king" However the omnipotent Jagex staff have succesfully killed a viable customer suuport system. These are the current options for customer support: 1. The Runescape forums - This has actually improved lately I have noticed more Jagex staff members on the forums, however it is still NO replacement for the old customer support system where you could write into Jagex. I remember one Jagex staff member that really did help around the RS classic forums. I am not sure if i can say his name, so i wont... but all you RSC forum users know which mod im talking about +1 2. Attitudes of Jagex staff- Jagex staff give anwers that usually sound as though they have been pre-wrriten, eg. player "x" writes complaint, J-Mod "y" clicks cntrl:v to answer his complaint from a database of pre-prepaired answers written by the KBD. There is nothing they are going to do about this, they would much rather spend their work hours on the funorb forums talking about their favourite lollies and pizza. that is not a joke. -1 3. Other forms of contact: Yes due to my perm mute I found other ways to contact Jagex, eg by mailing them. This is direct to Jagex and it only costs me $7.00 to mail something from Australia to Jagex Towers in Cambridge. Not only does it cost me $7.00 to send something that probably wont be replied to, but it also takes from 14-19 days. (dances)-1 4. Jagex, im just going to put it very simple. Bring back customer support, not so we can ask you what your favourite pizza is, but so people that have given your company hundreds of dollars in membereships can play "knight and adventurer" without fear of being banned for saying "greek pride"[/hide]

Hello others in the tip.it community. My main (lvl 136 amount) has unfairly been perm-muted. I will now tell you the story. I had not been online for about one week. Then on the 23/9/2008 (a date i will never forget) i log onto my runescape account my bank is cleared from 500m+ and i get this message: you have been perm-muted due to breaking the rules (or something similar to that) i am devastated.... i loose not only 100% of my wealth but also my ability to talk to my good friends. Here is what message center said: [hide=][/hide] note that "I" had broken the game rules six times in seven days. Anyways lets have a deeper look into the evidence... Offence 1:Breaking Rule 9- Date 17/Sep/2008- [hide=] Now why would I say that rubbish for in the first place? No I will not change my tone. I think that this poor update deserves any tone i wish. So first you tell me what veiws to share, then you tell me how my tone should be, im prety sure I can type how I want as long as im not being overtly racist/derogatory and flaming/swearing my head if at people. I refuse to change to a Runescape forum moderator-like speach. I am me and dont try to change that ok. *note: to the other poster the broken fourth wall is an allusion to a dramatic performance where the actor states to the audience they are in the play, removing the illusion of the reality created by the play. Fantasy games relly on creating an alternate universe so people like myself can pretend we are mighty adventurers. Breaking the fourth wall (the wall to the audience if you like) is a bad idea in a role playing/mmo game. (sure half the people will be replying "no it just makes the game more interesting with aliens and if you dont like it quit" because they dislike me) So yeah, saying how great an update is a very easy thing to do. Trust me i had to think twice about saying that i didnt like the update cause i knew people would think im a fool. Dude. http://en.wikipedia.org/Club_Penguin First line. Jagex don't make club penguin. They may be on miniclip, but otherwise unrelated. Sure they stuck an alien and a couple of penguins in, but they're certainly not forcing you to go there. If you want to turn your nose up at a bit of free exp, then fine, but don't whine about something so trivial. That's for RSOF. I was being sarcastic i am well aware jagex did not make club penguin. also if i dont like something i have a right to complain, it isnt trivial, im sick of the broken 4th wall in a rpg, i knew well before submiting what i said prior would lead to people having a go at me, but i dont really care this update is silly.

If there where any doubts this just shows that Runescape is owned by the creators of club penguin. Jagex you need to realise that all good MMORPGs need to have a lore side to it, you cant just get crap like aliens and communist penguins and just throw them in this big postmodern melting pot. Its a fantasy game, focus more on elfs and dwarfs and great creatures of ancient might, rather than trying to humour each other at the office with your childish updates. Im really looking forward to the Varok/Arav update later this month, you have defnitly failed in the eyes of anyone over 18 with this one. So the rest of the month I hope will improve. -1
