Anyone remember this guy?
I was just mentioning how much those words made an impact on me about not to beg. I did learn the game pretty much myself, but had a bit of help from a few nice people ;P

Should F2p get MORE bank space?
Ill agree that F2P NEEDS more bankspace. But I do not believe that they should get it. If you want more space get members tbh :P P.S. Don't call me a hater noob on F2P because I have been F2P for alot longer then I have been a member tbh, all I need space for in F2P is cash, armour, logs, ores and bars, and I have 2 lines left.

Anyone remember this guy?
I thought I would post this. I've been meaning to do this for a long time but haven't been bothered to. I remember the good old days of RS when I started. It was so much fun. A friend of mine had introuduced me to the game, helped me through tout island and showed me where I should start off training. Of course, from my experiences on tout island and getting my first 2 LEVEL 3 skills (mining and smithing) I wanted to do that, but he insisted I trained combat. So I did, he lead me out on a long path until a big screen came up saying "the wilderness is dangerous, do not enter if you are not prepared to die". I wasn't prepared to die, but with my friend with me (level 15 at the time) leading me out there, I was sure to be safe. Soon enough I had gotten to level 10 wilderness, my friend (he was a really good RL friend by the way) attacked me, and when trying to eat a shrimp I was struck down with a 3 (3 being like a really high hit to me) I didn't care that I died, I just saw it as an oppurtunity to hop worlds and explore the game for myself. The world that I was exploring was lumbridge back in around September 05'. So many great faces, lots of new but nice people actually OFFERING to help me, instead of for money. I needed to make money to buy a shinny pickaxe for myself, when I met this guy: I had a good chat to him, also asking where I could get my money: He told me things, and I was excited to here that my favourite skill at that time was a good choice to make money, he told me where to do it and stuff: And he FINALLY left me with these parting words which stuck in my head and I never EVER bothered to do it: So I ask you, who is this guy? Did you ever run into him when you were a noob? EVERY single thing I did in this game was thanks to him and his guidence, I asked him every single thing I could about 100 times before I set off by myself around the RS world. What happened? Why aren't people using his advice to actually play this game for what it is? It's sad to think that I will never enjoy RS as much as I did when I started playing the game because it was so new and exciting to explore the world (not saying I don't enjoy it now and all, but I just don't understand why these younger players aren't heeding his advice. So I ask you, if a noob comes up to you and asks you for free stuff, do not lash out at him or her (although I am guilty of late night flaming), direct him or her to the knowledgable.. LUMBRIDGE GUIDE!

Last quest for the quest cape?
omg some1 is finally feeling like i do, as if they come to this forum to be entertained by good ideas and experiences of ingame RS stuff. but this sub-forum has turned into a cesspool of stupid stuff, for example check my sig, those were 2 posts that were allowed to stay in a topic. Um.. I see nothing wrong with this thread. It's interesting to find out what people did for their last quest. If you don't like the thread or feel that it does nothing for the forum then don't post to it and press the ! button. MEP2 for me

how you organize your bank
I organise for the items I use the most, followed by favourite skills etc. I leave the last few rows unorganised for unfinished pot doses and random items that aren't there forever :P

Are Party Hats and Other Rares Going Extinct?
Personally lots of friends I know buy their phats and KEEP them for their own value, not for their money value. Once all the stakers and whoever else stop selling their phats or putting them on the market, then they will be 'extinct' from the market.

yews and wcing
Get P2P and cut yews. You ain't going to get 100 in 3 hours in F2P

Tuna-Why aren't they that "important"
I want my tuna now! As soon as you cut my milk. Haha Its simple really like someone has already said. More demand in both F2P and P2P for lobsters!

Sharks... Obsolete?
I dont know how you can call them obsolete, and your reasons prove even more that they are not. Fishing XP, cooking XP, recharging stuff. That has alot more uses then things like .. armour or whatever :P Sharks are still the economical choice for pkers. Tuna and potatoes are alot slower to make

Whats With This New Game...Real Life?
This real life sounds pretty lame to me. I'd just stick to runescape. The problems with games like that, that allow little risk to die burn out quickly :P Nice find though.

The editor on the forums!
My mistake.

The editor on the forums!
Well we all know about te editor and writing the articles.. although one thing that has annoyed me in the past is the lack of feedback from the editor on the article thread regarding questions etc. because obviously he/she can't post without revealing his/her identity. So here's a short and sweet solution. The editor (he/she) gets his/her own account to reply to the article threads every week about points that have been brought up in reply to the article. This can also involve this editor into the forum without sacrificing the 'undercover'ness of the editor. Anyone agree/disagree/like/dislike/want/don't want this idea? I think it's a great one to get personal feedback to questions and comments made in the thread after the article

What (good) question would YOU ask a top 5 player?
Wow a topic bumped from a year ago :o Mm i'd ask some common ones, not nessicarly for players that are ranked high overall, more to ones that do difficult skills like mining (lover romeo etc.) - What motivates you to do such straining skills to lots of other players? - Do you regret spending as much time on the skill then other skills? - Do you push yourself to be first, or do you just do it for the glory and fun of it? - Do you like people talking about you in threads on forums?

Are Party Hats and Other Rares Going Extinct?
There's none coming in. So they can only go out. The only thing that is unknown is the time.

Question: Least-Admirable Skill Cape
I find un trimmed combat skills less admireable now. Expecially seeing a person with 99 strength, attack and defense with 96 hitpoints >.< Thieving I think is losing repectability. But im proud with my achivements.

The complete "Should F2P get updates?" Debate! 5,000 views!
I know that the simple answer is for me to say that 'you get what you pay for' and that is what i'm going to stick with. I'm F2P for most of my runescape life, although I do get runescape membership when school is not in session. To be honest, i'm sick of the 'ads bring in the revenue excuse' mainly for the fact that it is unlikely that many people ACTUALLY view the things at which they are advertising. I know that it might seem that ad revenue PAYS for your runescape, and may even get Jagex more money. But honestly, it's not coming out of YOUR pocket, like members do for their monthly fix. For the younger F2P players that don't have access due to parents not allowing you too (I am in the same boat), I feel for you because of this. But although Jagex is getting money from the ads that you have to deal with, it's still not your hard earned money that your giving them, your only really giving them the numbers to increase their profit through playing the F2P version.
