  1. That was an epic video. Too bad it doesn't compare to some AoC videos.
  2. Take out your gemmed items. Take out the fact that it's a HoX Vs Other classes. Put in you're using the Barb/guard/BS against other classes. Classes don't matter as long as you have basic PvP tactics memorized/mastered in a sense, strafing, jumping, using knockbacks/stuns/AoE's...etc. Don't know if your getting what I'm saying or if I have to explain that PvP skill totally disregards class entirely.
  3. Perhaps that should be changed then, instead of just shrugging it off? I've given reasons why it would benefit the community, plus if that was done, it would be another reason to do the 15 minutes. @dsavi; I already suggested that there's two timers; 1 for the 'users last online in the past X minutes'; and one for 'User Was Last Online @ X Days Ago'.
  4. Good job Peter, wasn't surprised to read this. Grats.
  5. Nah man, my survivability is fine. Any HoX that QQs doesn't understand how to play the class. Hell I survived a 1v1 fight with a bear shaman for 5mins. Just because you can play it well, doesn't mean everyone else can. There's a difference between knowing how to play the class, and out-skilling other classes. You put your skill to a Barb, BS, or even a Guardian, probably not very many would beat you, except for those with the same skill level. Classes really don't matter if you have enough skill in PvP. I've adapted, or whatever, to the class Assassin. To take on 3-5 mobs at a time, I'm using every single ability I have, and using potions, as well as food. 'Almost' every other class can take on much more without using many abilities, or the same amount of 'skill' involved in keeping oneself alive.
  6. OvZrhdy2UdY Weird.
  7. Basically. If Funcom increased their hp by say 10%? They'd be pretty good in PvP. Crafted armour has been known to be OP'd for a long time. These level 80 Assassins that I know of are hitting for 1.5k to 2.5k in white damage, they only have about half of their crafted gear gemmed with +dagger damage. It's insane what their combos do in overall damage. Easily one hitting priest/mage/rogue classes. I've given up on PvPing to get used to these keybinds anyways, so the PvP update can wait. ^_^ Our guild nearly has a Tier 2 keep, we have 11/25 stacks (100) of granite for it. So irritating.
  8. Just watched it for the 6th time, darn I want that soundtrack.
  9. viewtopic.php?f=151&t=750173 May want to post it there.
  10. Wow...That looks extremely interesting. And insanely difficult. Precise movements...I definitely need to try it out...
  11. Vidi, have you been to Black Castle yet? It's not a kill boss after boss dungeon. There's puzzles in it. Even if they are primitive, or not very hard, still puzzles though.
  12. Missed the entire point, the characters don't matter. Also, Mario doesn't always save the princess, Link doesn't always save the world. It's this, them not staying true to the storyline, yet still contributing something to the storyline that is allowing them to be successful. As well, characters don't matter, storyline + gameplay is the secret, both excel at this, and as long as they excel at this, there's no reason to put them to rest. Games like Halo, that have 2 successors, or things like CoD series (where the War bit gets old in some areas) are told to be retired because they reach the max game story reality, or the game play is repetitive through-out each new series. While CoD may be a bad example, it's worth putting on there. Zelda, & Mario have remained classic, yet still surprising. Thegames released with the characters have always been innovative, and have had a different style of game play (Ok, Zelda is, go do these 5 dungeons, then do these 8, then do these 15 dungeons, cutscene, 3 more dungeons, cutscene, fight, cutscene, end fight, but it's how you complete each dungeon in each game that makes it so different and varied, it's how you move, how you walk, how you die even).
  13. This was EPIC. [hide=spoilers]I kind of predicted that Penny would die, or at least it was kind of predictable in a sense, but I really didn't think it would end like that, of how she died, but it truly was the best way in my opinion for it to end. Though Captain Hammer could have actually died by how much I'm concerned. Him turning out to be cry baby is funny but it doesn't seem to fit...I would've wanted more than just that one long scene when presenting Hammer's statue. Kind of where it all happened but whatever.[/hide] I'm hoping enough people buy this series that there's some incentive to make a sequel...Or bonus scenes...=)
  14. Though Kcd, they aren't the same games, sure, same characters, but not the same game, or storyline all the time. In Mario, it's different every time. The game play, well used to be different every time, from side scrolling, to nonlinear game play. It's what made them viable to play. Sure they had the same story with Bowser, but the game play was different. Just like with Mario Tennis, or Mario Kart. Same characters, different game play. It's what makes them work every time. For games like Zelda you have the infamous dual-time line thing going on. It's always intriguing to people, thus the game will be successful. Every game has had something new to it, which has made the series succeed. Not all games succeed like this, not all games with different game plays succeed. These games just shine brightly because they always bring something different to the table, have great non-repetitive story lines. True, Nintendo isn't releasing new hardcore games, but they don't need to be new titles. Old titles are still viable options if the game play is turned towards a 'hardcore' crowd, with new game play features...etc. New titles, or old titles, doesn't matter. What matters is the game play within each game. I don't care if I have to play as a darn monkey to get the best game play there is. The best puzzles. The best storylines, that are comical. I don't care if it's a 2-D monkey for a 30 stretch game line. Characters are just overrated rectangles interacting by pre-based animations, or sequences. What I'm playing for isn't those, thus they are irrelevant. What's relevant is the game play. It can be the same characters, we don't need, or in some cases want new titles, or characters.
  15. Soul Calibur(sp...?) 2, was just a copy with a few more characters than the first. Zelda Twilight - Why? The simplified, far easier dungeons, that were shorter, and more irritating to do. Dungeons are the core of the Zelda games, actually puzzles are. And they were easier, and even less-skill demanding than the previous Zelda games. Sorry but the graphics, and the Wii Remote as a sword were just hiding these. Wasn't saying the game wasn't fun, but if you compare it to Orcarina, or even Majora's Mask, it's basically just 'another game'.
  16. Black Castle is a fun instance. Was really fun doing it, though it's nothing compared to some of the RuneScape puzzles, but it's a start if you ask me. One thing this game lacks is puzzles in dungeons, it's just 'kill bosses, grats your done'.
  17. Cross-Platform. :
  18. Good job thus far Peter on the coding. That UserID and RSN correlating together to prevent somewhat 'thefts' or 'rips' is ingenious. :
  19. Besides the above responses, has anyone thought people have the time set at 15 minutes so when people look at the numbers they see the board is far more active than 'said' board. Generally the majority of users who are put in deciding between two or more forums will want to use some form of proving one is better than the other. Message Boards need activity, it's their core. Number one reason to pick a forum over another is by checking the available activity at the bottom of the board. If Tip.It wants to ignore this, and probably continue to lose about 100-200 users just finding out about RSC and Tip.It from RuneScape, it's fine, but who is it hurting more? To be honest 'A false imagery of activity' compared to increasing activity is a very low cost, but hey whatever mentality is ticking away that is keeping these mindless 'unwritten internet ethics' from improving the forums at all, is not my full concern, merely just to point this out. False imagery of activity? Yes, let's not change it to show more users, and then let the users who only look at the numbers (and not the times) go for the other forums. Sure, perhaps we may not want those who aren't smart enough, or don't have the patience, or just aren't informed enough that the activity at the bottom of the board is even time based. That's probably it. New users, not used to forums, they aren't going to care whether or not the time is 15 minutes, or an hour, or two days. They see what they see, and make an impression from that. 5 Minutes? 15 Minutes? Makes a huge difference in the amount of users shown, which usually brings in more users because humans generally care more for quantity than quality, but for a small price to pay of being what exactly? Dishonest? Not really. If Tip.It really wanted to be truth full it would be per every 10 seconds, or less. But it's at 5 minutes. Thus it's still creating a false imagery of activity. Call this extreme, but using 'false imagery of activity' is also extreme. It's stupid, and irrelevant when you want to sustain activity on a board, which would generally be a priority amongst most message boards. Perhaps, there's no immediate or useful effect of increasing the time, but as I explained above, the reactions from the action of increasing the time highly outweighs being plain out stubborn. Honestly, I don't know why people in this thread are failing to see the positive effects of this are, and this is what is making me actually post this reply. I'm hoping you guys can see this now, and what it would actually do. 'Aiding the forums,'? 'False Imagery of Activity,'? 'No point,'? Look past the mentality and doubt, and you'll see the benefits. @Killer; I think it's easy to set it so that the 'Last Online' or 'Currently Online' can have a different time on it. So it's only 5 minutes, while the 'Users Active In The Past X Minutes' can be different.
  20. Exactly what I stated in a previous post in here. Mulitple people thinking of this, is very bad indeed. I was really hoping for a 'tough' game, as Twilight wasn't difficult. I was hoping for some hardcore thinking, as well as hardcore puzzles to advance in the infamous dungeons of Zelda. Guess it'll be something like Connect Four.
  21. Kill them before they kill you? No experience with a HoX, but with an Assassin this works out well: Ambush > Combo > Snap Kick > Two Combos > Duke it out if they are still alive > Heal Ability +Potion > Repeat Snap kick and Combos. Basically by that third combo after Snap Kick, they usually are dead. Gotta be quick is all.
  22. I think we're doing a raid or something either tomorrow, or on Sunday. Not sure. Be there or be square Ultimania. :
  23. I don't care for graphics, though instead of seeing rectangles, it's nice to see male and female characters, or a pink/blue piece of a pancake. : I'm just saying the graphics weren't really representing the game or so I thought. They were like 'floatly', 'puffy', 'childish', 'Too Bright', instead of the 'sleak', 'Mature', and 'Refined' graphics I've been used to. I don't know what they were thinking with those graphics...
  24. Krieg; No idea how you do the combat with 123, and then C and X so far down... :o
  25. I'm thinking Bioware is going to be able to pull off a good combat system, and not make it similar to the other KoTOR games. Just because it's an MMO. Anyways it'll be good to follow this game, and see how it turns out. The immersion and storylines will probably be very deep as it is based off of something already very huge. Won't speculate too much though as it was only confirmed.
