  1. That's very true indeed, but most things we do that are stupid, are unintentional, because we don't know any better. Stuff like this where they knew there was danger, and they were completely ignorant to all the warnings and the fact that the danger was rolling around at 50Mphs, shouldn't be counted as stupidity, or the word isn't right for intentional idiotic actions like this. I read on Darwin that a guy bought a tree shredder, and died from him because he didn't know any better, or didn't know to use it. That isn't funny, or anything, and for stuff like this I understand where your coming from. But from stuff that people know there is danger, and they ignore it for whatever reason, it's way too difficult to feel sorry for them, as there's nothing to feel sorry for. Whether or not the death was justified.
  2. @Nadrils List: I'm going to disagree with it as I think it's only based on your own experience through your own class, and not through other classes experience against, or working with the classes, I'm thinking there's 4-6 that are misplaced in that list. In a way it's kind of biased. Also I don't know if you were including both PvE and PvP, or just one of the two? I'm really laughing at the WAR thing. So many people were waiting for those, plus how those classes were tanks, I wonder how grouping is going to be without them. It'll be interesting to see what happens. Can't wait until it gets posted on the official forums. The Assassins forum & General via Famine's(Community Manager, or Sharum posted it) post I believe. I can say the exact same thing about every class that is called underpowered, or not strong enough. Perfect example is a DT or an Assassin, your opening moves in PvP determine the outcome quite a bit, and in PvE the Sin's DoT's, especially if they've got the specific feats to buff up the DoTs does more DPS on average than any other class except for the priests and some mages, without using exploits. I see many people complaining about Assassins being the weakest class (same with DT's), or Assassins being the easiest ones to beat in PvP, or that they die too fast in PvE. All of these are untrue. Assassins are probably the best class in PvP excluding fights against Guardians (As they can go either way, though it might change), especially with Lotus, and same with Corruption just a bit behind Lotus. For PvP Assassins should be considered above medium but not at the top. I out damage people my own level in groups of 6 in dungeons at level 40 through to 47 at the moment. I only die in PvP from ganking, forgetting to put on stance, or mistargeting someone else, or I fight a really good Guardian. Clothies (or rouges) are easily 2-4 hit, which is practically easy to pull off, SA, SK(prevent running/using heals), SDS, GC (using atrophy somewhere), then unloading combos. By the time SDS finishes they are recovering from SK. SDS will probably finish the rest of the HP off by it's DoT anyways unless they have a massive hp regen. This goes for light armours, and medium armours as well, just takes 2 more hard hitting combos to pull off. Guardians are the only ones where it should go either way. I'm rambling though and defending my class...>.> They are good, and have really good combos and everything, they just aren't right for AoC. They seem like a class from another game if you ask me. --- Also, anyone else getting hit for 500 by same level mobs, while mobs +1 higher hit for 650? Mobs three levels lower hit for 300? MY defense has gone out the window (and no I'm not on an epic instance, and yes I have a stance on). Nope, US based and EU based.
  3. Just wait until the sneaking suspicions that Assassins is the base standard of what every class should be power wise. Every other class gets debuffed. ^_^ The mana thing is the best indication of that.

Yea, that's why Nintendo uses him as the main selling point in ads, because he's well rounded against any character if you ask me, and he's easy to use and learn the controls with at first.
  5. I really want to see what Nintendo is going to bring to the table as they are very localized in one field, and haven't really expanded deeply into the other areas where games are, where Sony and Microsoft are at. Will be interesting to watch via G4TV.

How could you lose Kcd? Lost all my e-respect for you. :(
  8. Wow excellent job with the weight loss, it's not easy, and it looks incredible. : Good job. ^_^
  9. www.google.ca Also, if anything you should have posted in Help & Advice.
  10. Took me like 60 minutes to install and patch it. : The July 16th Patch Notes look awesome. The best thing has to be the 15% per miss will reduce the ending combo's damage by however many misses. Miss a target on a combo key's 1 and 2 = 30% reduction from the last hit or (3). Preloading = dead, PvP = More difficult.
  11. Sorry for double post but unofficial bugs & nerfs: http://forums-us.ageofconan.com/showpos ... tcount=260 And if you look over the EU forums in General for English is flooded with things like Immoral (or w/e it's called) and invisible walls. Lol. Confirmed bugs & issues: http://forums.ageofconan.com/showthread.php?t=127841 Note, these may change when they patch us in at 2pm eastern, or be fixed. --- Servers are up: Whatever Funcom did I'm pleased with it, I've doubled my Framerate from 9-12 to 18 to 24. I'm using a Nvidia 7350, which is a sad card to use in my opinion. Very pleased.
  12. Don't mind getting up early, or sorting through garbage on non-garbage days, and other odd things to do with garbage, and since your 18, I'm assuming Grade 12 education? Or 11? Anyways Garbage Man. It's a fun job if you don't mind sore muscles the first couple of weeks, and the hanging on the back of the truck never gets old. Though competition in Canada here is Grade 12 Education with 80s+ in Academics, no idea how it would be where you are. But it is indeed fun and pays well.

When enabling or disabling timestamps on chat messages the entire scrollback buffer for the affected chat window is updated to show or hide timestamps. * Fixed a bug causing the cooldown timer to sometimes appear out of sync on items/spells/abilities that was displayed multiple places.[/hide] They excluded several things from the Test Server patch notes, which is a major disappointment mainly for those memory leaks, but like as you said, those three were the big juicy ones, and they got excluded, so minor other things. As well stealth nerfs are coming in from the EU's. Though they are unconfirmed. Also the Tradeskill fix for duskmetal, or whatever it was for 'Mining', it very welcomed. Plus the extended downtime is 2 hours, which equals 1 pm eastern, or rather an extra 3 hours, so a total of an 8 hour downtime at the moment. They'll have to go home soon...>.>
  14. Congrats on getting the game. Make sure you take your time. The patch is also in an hour I do believe.
  15. Our guild has already invested like 20-30G in our T1 city, and we still have around 40-60G to go. Blueprints & ink for the win. Being an architect is hard if you don't have people in your guild donating materials and at least 5G a week. -.- I wonder if they fixed the duplication bug yet, accidentally made 100 rough leather into 200, oh well, time to abuse that on the test servers. Easiest thing to make money on the AH though is Granite, stacks go from 1g to 1.28g, and they sell quite fast (1-2 hours), so if you spend say 5g your gonna make another g pretty fast, friends have made 20G in a day from this. Another thing though, Rough Leather is pretty fast if your killing Boars, or Diseased Bears for it, Rough Leather is really high in demand, and I'm thinking it's going to increase.
  16. The above two posts are why I'm not rushing to 80. : At level 50, I've made it a personal goal to collect enough T2 materials to build at least 2/3s of a T2 city. A lot of granite involved, might even buy some of it, but then again gathering it would probably be faster than buying it at this moment in the games unbuilt economy. No point is rushing to the last level.
  17. It's back working again. Thanks for the help. :
  18. Far too many countries, and different laws to even attempt just torrents, you need to attack something that is large enough that it'll affect the downloading, Google. For example Canada is a heaven for file sharing, no negative consequences at all, yet America there is.
  19. Same, I've just hit a burnout, probably shouldn't have mined so much silver, and the other resources and then complete the T1 of both gemcutting and weaponsmithing. Then gaining 6 levels in like 4-5 hours. Ways to overcome burn-out. -.-
  20. Browsing around on FireFox, go to open a new tab to go to Google, DNS error. Ok, weird, Google being down? I go to Yahoo, YouTube, and a few other places, all not working. Yet I'm still able to go through the forums, and go through the forums on another site. I open another tab, and go to http://www.tip.it, it doesn't load, yet I'm already on Tip.It in another tab, browsing the forums without flaw. Same with the other sites, I can browse them, and see new posts, and everything, I can still play Age Of Conan, MSN works, IRC works, yet I can't get onto new sites, even through hotlinking it's a no. Same thing happens on IE7 and Opera. Wondering what is going on... EDIT: If I click refresh, back or forward button, or bookmarks it automatically does the error page, on each browser. So if I were to click 'back' or 'refresh', this page or tab would probably get the error message. What I don't get it is how I'm already browsing through sites, yet new ones aren't even opening?
  21. Be with a group of people, 3+, at all times. Intimidation by numbers works great, especially when the majority of bullies are indeed cowards. If they really have it in for you, your going to get it, and that's that. There's no stopping someone who is downright ready to insult you, and harass you. They will probably always be insulting you unless some form of act or event happens that puts you into a place where they can't insult you, or harass you. The tactics they teach you in 1-6 of grade school, is just so they can find out who are the bullies are, and punish them. Majority of the time the bullying does indeed get worse after the initial 'tell'. Or it'll haunt you all through-out the rest of your school life.
  22. True, but it was probably the best word to describe what it was how they wanted to, as well as make video games look like they make children throw off 'tantrums'. Negativity.
  23. Congrats on achieving it! Have fun the endgame content. :
  24. 1. Click on Tyranny. 2. Select whatever class you want, or archetype. 3. Don't feel like you have to go through the tutorial (tortage) at any speed, go through it slowly and enjoy it. Basically all you need.
